Received a neutral and I went from a raised rating to lowered instantly. Now I can never recover cuz my listings can't be found! Imagine if I received a neg. I've recently sold PC for $300. No contact from bidder who has "private" feedback.
I don't expect getting fee refund from Ebay because this happened before and Ebay never refunded anything. Yes they kept whole fee including the final value.

Close your stores and list your stuff for free on google base. They're free, and I made $1300 in May just on Google. They actually have better customer service than ebay, with intelligent humans and relevant answers.
Also i relisted the item with Paypal on but noted US POSTAL MO only / no paypal .They cancelled my listing . Since they brought out Paypal i can see why they would force you to use paypal .Auction for $1,300.00 they take $100.00 off the top via Final value fee/Paypal fee .Also they keep funds locked 21 days .Gee i wonder who that is helping? Sold auction ebay 1,300.00 Buyer sends instant pymt ,paypal. We are 51 feedback 100% positive . Paypal puts hold on funds,tells me to ship $1,300and they may release hold in 21 days if buyer leaves positive feedback, no dispute,proof of shipping . I issued buyer a refund, wich releases the hold. They must be making money because somebodys on crack!
Happened to me too, and I have 95% positive feedback. Some moron left me a neg because usps screwed up the shipping, I dropped from 100% to 95%. Since my feedback is less than 100 on this Ebay account and item is over $100, Paypal is holding $200 from me for 21 days! So, that was it, I stop offering Paypal as a payment method all together. They want my stuff, use Moneybookers or Google.
Ebid, iOffer, Craigslist, OOdle are all better than Ebay. Moneybookers and Google Checkout are better than Paypal when comes to leveled playing field for both sellers and buyers. Avoid Paypal like a plague if you are seller!!!

I said what "I consider to be" specifically to highlight the fact that it was just my opinion, but when folks post the *exact same short messages* that go something like this: HEY! I WANT TO ADVERTIZE SOME GREAT CRAP! GO TO CRAPdotCOM TO CHECK IT OUT! To many different vids without engaging in conversation as you and I are most people do think of that as spam. If I have been more critical of eweay than others it is because they are more aggressive in their propaganda campaign than the others are imho. I NEVER said eweay has "done anyone wrong" in my criticism just that it did not strike me as a REAL alternative based on my observation of *very little activity/selling* on the site.

These boycotts are made by the Ebay forum boardies. They may be more successful if the boardies were more accepting of others on the boards. They have their own little group of friends there. When someone else they feel is new, tries to ask questions or adds comments, they are ignored!!!!!! That really doesn't help their effort.
I was threatened and harassed by people from the ebay forums starting Feb 3 through the end of the month thru my messages and purchasing the cheapest item in my inventory. Could someone please tell me when the absurd 21 day hold policy will be taking effect? Are they doing it yet? If I receive paypal payments right now, will I have immediate access to the funds before the new policy begins. I'd like to avoid paypal altogether, but ebay's making even that option impossible!
PayPal couldn't explain to me how spoof payment confirmation email I received (flagged as spoof by none other than eBay's own Trust & Safety Team)reached my mail box but NOT PayPal official payment confirmation. Two PayPal reps at different times told me over the phone in essence just to be happy that I got paid! No explanation as to what happened to PayPal official email notice. Stranger thing---I got the money credited! Sorry, but I do not want anyone's money, regardless of the situation.
Don't forget about PayPal phone "help". Called them to inquire what constitutes legitimate PayPal Payment Confirmation email notices 'cuz the ones I was receiving for my items showed the Buyers' email accts as the source instead of PayPal. One rep told me that ALL PayPal notices should show PayPal as the source, but not to worry since I got my money. Another rep told me that there MAY be a quirk with PayPal that allows Buyers' email address to show as source. Yeah, PAYPAL ITSELF DOESN'T KNOW!

GOOD!!!! Those listings (mostly for useless & more often than not VERY misleading information that can be easily obtained for FREE anyway) have become a major nuisance!
What has become a major nuisance are ads "digital delivery" posing girls in thongs for satellite hacking ads on Ebay, when you search for things like I sell "Kabballah CD". I sell books in all formats, some are digital delivery, but many, including the Bible, Kabbalastic texts, etc. are CLASSICS, and not "misleading" information. So while Ebay claims to go after the 'noise', they are putting good people out of business. PERIOD.

Boycotts will not work. The only way to take eBay to task is to undermine the confidence of both, buyers and sellers, drive profits down and stockholders will demand the board of directors be overthrown. Their latest decision to prevent advertising that sellers take anything other than PayPal is a class-action lawsuit waiting to happen. eBay feels like they cannot be harmed. That will be their downfall, and as Rome once burned.. so shall eBay fall.

This is what happened to me! Several years selling off and on. Hundreds of items all over the world. The highest DSR & feedback. Received a neutral and I went from a raised rating to lowered instantly. Now I can never recover cuz my listings can't be found! Imagine if I received a neg. I've recently sold PC for $300. No contact from bidder who has "private" feedback.
I don't expect getting fee refund from Ebay because this happened before and Ebay never refunded anything. Yes they kept whole fee including the final value.
I can't even give negative feedback to that buyer.
Looks to me like I've been scammed. Not buy the buyer but by Ebay.
Anyone else got same experience?

Im fed up. Ebay has ruined everything. Very sad to see a once great idea go down the tubes. Its hard not to use ebay though, I guess after almost a decade of me using it both selling and buying its hard to change.I am looking for alternatives though. I have to drive past Paypal headquarters once in awhile and my hand just automaticaly flies out the window and flips the bird.Its involuntary.

Also i relisted the item with Paypal on but noted US POSTAL MO only / no paypal .They cancelled my listing . Since they brought out Paypal i can see why they would force you to use paypal .Auction for $1,300.00 they take $100.00 off the top via Final value fee/Paypal fee .Also they keep funds locked 21 days .Gee i wonder who that is helping? Sold auction ebay 1,300.00 Buyer sends instant pymt ,paypal. We are 51 feedback 100% positive . Paypal puts hold on funds,tells me to ship $1,300and they may release hold in 21 days if buyer leaves positive feedback, no dispute,proof of shipping . I issued buyer a refund, wich releases the hold. They must be making money because somebodys on crack!

Happened to me too, and I have 95% positive feedback. Some moron left me a neg because usps screwed up the shipping, I dropped from 100% to 95%. Since my feedback is less than 100 on this Ebay account and item is over $100, Paypal is holding $200 from me for 21 days! So, that was it, I stop offering Paypal as a payment method all together. They want my stuff, use Moneybookers or Google.

I said what "I consider to be" specifically to highlight the fact that it was just my opinion, but when folks post the *exact same short messages* that go something like this: HEY! I WANT TO ADVERTIZE SOME GREAT CRAP! GO TO CRAPdotCOM TO CHECK IT OUT! To many different vids without engaging in conversation as you and I are most people do think of that as spam. I can only speak for myself in saying that I am sick of what I consider to be Rival Site Spammers trying to opportunistically capitalize on recent eBay controversies. If I have been more critical of eweay than others it is because they are more aggressive in their propaganda campaign than the others are imho. I NEVER said eweay has "done anyone wrong" in my criticism just that it did not strike me as a REAL alternative based on my observation of *very little activity/selling* on the site.

I was threatened and harassed by people from the ebay forums starting Feb 3 through the end of the month thru my messages and purchasing the cheapest item in my inventory. The culprit: barrotj - it was very disturbing. I truly believe she is an ebay plant....maybe not, but the harassment I encountered was all from WAXHHAW, NC - all on the same street, Jackson Avenue - GREEDbay did nothing to stop the horrible harassment

Could someone please tell me when the absurd 21 day hold policy will be taking effect? Are they doing it yet? If I receive paypal payments right now, will I have immediate access to the funds before the new policy begins. I'd like to avoid paypal altogether, but ebay's making even that option impossible!

PayPal couldn't explain to me how spoof payment confirmation email I received (flagged as spoof by none other than eBay's own Trust & Safety Team)reached my mail box but NOT PayPal official payment confirmation. Two PayPal reps at different times told me over the phone in essence just to be happy that I got paid! No explanation as to what happened to PayPal official email notice. Stranger thing---I got the money credited! Sorry, but I do not want anyone's money, regardless of the situation.

Don't forget about PayPal phone "help". Called them to inquire what constitutes legitimate PayPal Payment Confirmation email notices 'cuz the ones I was receiving for my items showed the Buyers' email accts as the source instead of PayPal. One rep told me that ALL PayPal notices should show PayPal as the source, but not to worry since I got my money. Another rep told me that there MAY be a quirk with PayPal that allows Buyers' email address to show as source. Yeah, PAYPAL ITSELF DOESN'T KNOW!

Amocabana, there has been a database breach reported via employee theft at Paypal & other curious goings-on, like wrong name on email notifications, replies in rough broken English...
Then there was also some 'server poisoning' incident last week too.

GOOD!!!! Those listings (mostly for useless & more often than not VERY misleading information that can be easily obtained for FREE anyway) have become a major nuisance!

What has become a major nuisance are ads "digital delivery" posing girls in thongs for satellite hacking ads on Ebay, when you search for things like I sell "Kabballah CD". I sell books in all formats, some are digital delivery, but many, including the Bible, Kabbalastic texts, etc. are CLASSICS, and not "misleading" information. So while Ebay claims to go after the 'noise', they are putting good people out of business. PERIOD.

I'm an Ebay powerseller. I sell 43 ebooks. Suddenly, last night, I see an Ebay policy going into effect that will force me to list each ebook at $10 a listing in "classified ad" format. This will put us out of business, or force us to 'drop' ebooks ie. pdf files sales.

Yep! I did it 2 years ago....a few months later in August they increased my store listings from 3 cents a month to 6 cents a month...500% fee increase.
In 2 years, it has only gotten worse

they are already making huge profits, they're like the fat kid in the candy store, they see all the goodies (our goods!) and try and figure out more ways to cram as much candy into their pockets... the recent bsb for aussie bank accounts disappearing from ebay checkout, which has resulted in an upsurge of paypal being used instead, is the last straw for this seller... 7 years of trading and they treat me like crap, whilst taking bigger and bigger slices of the rewards! thats greed in a nutshell.
