when you say you wash your face with it + your regular facial cleanser, do you mean that instead of using tap water to rinse off your cleanser you use the rice water, or that you mix your cleanser and rice water? i didn't really get it sorry-
My grandma told me this too but I was skeptical despite all the yt videos I've seen about rice water. I'm gonna give it a try now and see what happens ^_^
I really love your DIY and I'm already doing this for a week!
But it came to my mind when I school start again where I have to live in hostel where I don't have fridge to keep it. I don't cook too so I won't be buying rice. So do you think I can just use the rice flour?
@doadelle Thanks for your support! Unfortunately rice flour wouldn't have the same effect because as soon as you add water to it, the flour would absorb most of the water, turning it into a thick paste. But if you are looking for an anti-acne and softening skin facewash/toner, you could try my Perrier toner in my other video.
Sorry I haven't had time to do more DIY skin care lately, but I have a short break coming up, so I will be doing another anti-aging skin cleansing routine. Stay tuned!
@telopevy Yes we only use the cold water because the warm water is dirty (if you look closely enough, you'll see dust particles floating on top). I'm glad you like my little tricks ;)
@shufflestep86 nope, the rice is not cooked, and that's the great part about it because you can cook and eat the rice after rinsing it! Nothing goes to waste ;)
@ObedienceOrSacrifice Normally I use it with a facial cleanser because cleaning your face with just water is not enough to remove the dirt and excess oil on your skin. Thanks for subscribing!
@babyL1999 If you keep it in the fridge, I would say about 1-2 weeks, depending on how cold your fridge is. You'll definitely notice a difference in smell once it goes bad!
Also, shake well before you use it because the residue often sinks to the bottom of the bottle.
@mosquitoe It can also work as a toner, but I prefer to wash my face with it because the rice water can only be kept in the fridge for about a week before it goes bad. If you have acne-prone skin, I suggest using a lower pH toner (like the one shown in my perrier toner video); if you have mature skin, I suggest using an antioxidant toner (like the one shown in my anti-aging toner video).
How long would it take for the skin to become whiter after using the rice water
