Absolutely the best tutorial on setting up the effects I've been able to find! Very comprehensive and easy to follow. And your voice, being very soft, is calming for us beginners.
Thanks! I did end up installing it. But, ended up dumping it for a clear tool bar. The new one was a bit too taxing for my video card or something. But I do have the rest of the special effects now, Which are way cool!
Here's a question for a future video...
Can I delete the partition for windows 7. And Have the whole drive for Unbuntu. Without having to reinstall unbuntu from scratch? Also, what screen capture do you use? I tried gtk, but it killed this machine!
One very important question to answer the partition question. Did you use Wubi to install Ubuntu? I use gtk record my desktop because I had trouble with the other recording software. I have a 512 MB Nvidia video card, 1 GB RAM, and an AMD Athlon 64 dual core 2.6GHZ processor. I have not tested recording on another computer. I only had to increase the sound frequency to 4800 to make it work smoothly.
Holy crap! I have no idea ;-) I just made the 8.10 disk put it in, and followed the instructions. When it came time to partition, I just gave half to Unbuntu. Now, I'd like to use this PC strictly for Linux. I can go through the install thing again. But, it seems sad to throw out ll the work I've put in here.
I asked about Wubi because if you had used that then you would be out of luck. Since you used the better way with the Live CD then there is something you can do. Now from what I have read and what I know 2 partitions can not be joined without deleting the data on both partitions. What you can do is format the Windows 7 partition and use that to store any media or files, just as if it was a secondary internal drive. Do you want me to show you how to do that?
Honestly that is just plain odd. I press Ctrl+super+left click and move the mouse to move it. I havent had a similar problem so I cant tell you what could be wrong.
Thanks for this awesome tutorial :D
