The tear is one of the most beautiful things I've seen on the show.. it's so understated but just says so much about how much Meridith cares about Izzie. And later on in the episode when Mere helps her out of her dress is beautiful as well.
I agree completely. You can really feel and see the compassion she has for Izzie all over her face. Everything about this scene-the single tear, the way she whispers Izzie's name-is beautifully done. This scene is by far one of my favorites.
