I had already seen Hedwig and the Angry Inch (also written and directed by John Cameron Mitchell), but I have to say, I like this one a lot better. I guess it's because the subject matter is a little more relatable for me.

Well, I wouldn't say so. I found Sophia's to be the story that just ended oddly, though I agree the Dominatrix's was excellent.

If you're open to the fact that all the characters are fine with polyamorous relationships, it's intriguing to watch as James gravitates from worthlessness in the relationship to mending it.

To be honest, Sophia's was the one that kind of just trailed to nothing to me. Her ending I don't quite understand or get yet. Despite its setbacks, I loved it more than Hedwick.

god the point is that the movie ISN'T a porno, if you actually watched and paid attention to the movie/weren't shallow and closeminded you'd notice that. its about sex in relationships, etc. and just showed actual real sex. if watching real sex = porno flick to you then there's some serious issues that need to be worked out. thats all.
