I only found that out when I was stationed up at Ft. Drum and wanted to check out a Kimber at the local Gander mountain and turns out my Virginia concealed carry permit isnt worth jack up there

@GunWebsites The legal limit is 18 inches without having to registrer it as a short barreled shotgun. I believe the shorter barrels are not worth the hassel of a tax stamp and having to tell the government what you have (registration). You also get less recoil and a higher shell capacity with 18 inch barrels.

This is an older video, but I just found out that SBS are considered Any Other Weapon under the NFA. Here in Illinois the only NFA weapon allowed are AOW so I might be able to get one. Let me ask you are short barreled rifles considered AOW?

Stop paying $200 to people just because they tell you to. Your Constitution protects your right to have and bear arms. All you are doing is funding the BATF to buy more sophisticated weapons to use against you. If the BATF is giving you nothing in return, don't give them any money, its as simple as that. Then you wait a minim of one month to 6 months for the approval then you can take possession. Do not ever loan out the weapon to someone without you being present.
