  • 14.95 for Tweetie. What a joke. If you pay for that then you deserve to die.

  • Were can i get tweetie

  • How can log out in tweetie??

i installed in my work and so everybody sees my account, and i wanna log out, every time i want..

    Thanks

  • its clear: twhirl is more user friendly than tweetie

  • I see your points, but for me the simple interface of Tweetie is the main selling point. On my part, less really is more.

  • Nice review and video is so clear! please tell me what recorder you use, i have been searching for a while and am stuck with CamTwist for now. the quality is poor :s please respond

  • You find right clicking confusing?

No wonder you use a Mac...

  • I love Tweetie. Some of the things you said can be a whole lot quicker with keyboard shortcuts.

    Post a Tweet: Alt-Enter

    Timeline: Cmd-1

    Mentions: Cmd-2

    Direction Message: Cmd-3

    Search: Cmd 4

But I understand if you prefer your mouse over keyboard shortcuts. And I'm not sure if they added the key commands later. But a good first impressions video.

  • I don't like the looks of Twhirl, kindergarten graphics aren't my thing. I'd like to use Tweetie if I got a Mac, but as I'm stuck with my PC I use an Adobe AIR app named Spaz. Spaz has the graphics of Tweetie, and the usability of Twhirl, it's nearly perfect from my point of view. =) Check it out! :P

  • You are wrong on a few things, you can simply hit the return button on the tweet. Nice tutorial though

  • I use Twitterific, iPod Touch and iMac. It just has a much nicer interface and is simpler.

  • witch mac do you have Howard?

  • 17" MacBook Pro 2009

  • I like tweetie. :) Thanks for including me in your video!

  • I personally prefer TweetDeck. it seems pretty similar to Twhirl

  • in twirl, apple n for all the buttons

  • Try Nambu! It's a great Twitter app for the Mac. I love it.

  • I like Lounge better than either of them.

  • Have you looked at Seesmic Desktop? I still prefer Twhirl, the interface is much cleaner. Lots of great things in Seesmic, but lots in Twhirl that it's missing. And that's surprising from a company that owns both programs. Seesmic is a total rewrite. Why not just take Twhirl and extend it?

  • I just use Twitterfox. Since im always on the browser, it works for me.

  • i like twhirl too, i just switched to tweetdeck. its alot bigger, and i like how all of the panels are all up front where you can see them

  • Great comparison!

I've been using TweetDeck and haven't tried either Twhirl or Tweeite. Anyone like Twhirl better than TweetDeck...?

  • I prefer twhirl, tweetdeck is just too big and clunky.

  • Twhirl is way to awesome for me to switch, when i tried the beta of Tweetie i just felt that it was the iPhone App ported to the mac. just not that great UI and i would never realize that i got new tweets without twhirls notification.

  • Pretty cool. I might give twirl a whirl. heh.
