  • man! chyeah! love stories like this!!

  • All of this would never have happened had that moron mechanic screwed the windscreen in properly. If that captain had died, the machanic would have been charge with negligence and manslaughter due to his incompetence.

  • "and this older aircraft is not equipped with enough bolts to keep the wind shield on place"

  • POOR QUALITY

  • What plane is this? MD80? DC9?

  • @metalskateboarder965 Bac one eleven 500 seriers

  • And all this is down to an idiot who couldn't be bothered to follow the recommended instructions to fit the new window with the right screws when the plane was in the shop about 24 hours before. Not only did he nearly kill the pilot, everyone on board, the Co-Pilot was so traumatised he left the job. Also, Southampton Airport ends on the M27 - bloody close thing.

  • Why didn't they get help from the crew or why didn't the crew offer to help get the pilot inside

  • @badboyslipknot101 and who going to look after the passengers?

  • Those mechanics needed a good kick to the balls after this.

  • If they had released the Captain, and he flew through the Engine.. I would feel bad for the residents below.. Glad the Captain survived!

  • That is one thing you don't want to see: The captin hanging out of the plane.

  • 2:09

  • This Co-Pilot should be a captain cause he is PRO

  • @MandalorianKnight I know. If he survives, he deserves a promotion.

  • @MandalorianKnight Today he is a pilot he got rewarded and promoted to captain

  • @karaniskool40 Have flown with him as a captain, now on the 747-400

  • This makes me wanna put my seatbelt on 24/7 whenever on aircraft

  • @yuyudunno My parents NEVER let me take off my seatbelt in an aircraft, except when going to the toilet. I'm allowed to have it loose, though.

  • damn engineers! you did a crapy job!

  • more like mechanics, that replaced the f-ing winscreen..

I'm Getting Into Watching Plane Accident Acts & It's Just AMAZING How Everyone Survived, It Just Wasn't Their Time To Die :'') God Blessed Them.

The Pilot Was Plain Brave, He Survived In The End, It Takes A Tough Man :D

And The Co-Pilot You Saved The Lives Of 200 People, True Hero

  • just let go of the capt and say "off you go then ,godspeed mate.."

  • @123greatbritain i Didn't Watch The Later Parts When I Posted That Comment Meany :(

  • As Frankie Boyle would say, this is a no smoking flight, but feel free to join us in the cockpit, where we've opened a window.

  • @SpinDizzyMR Awesome comment

  • @SpinDizzyMR and u get suck out of the plane

  • never trust auto pilot, remember this, poor guy =\ he probebly couldn't breath for so much time

  • I was on a BA1-11 British Island Airways flight from Sardinia to Gatwick 0n night of 17th Oct 1988. In turbulance and At 44,000ft we had a cabin depresurisation had to go on oxygen had to make a rapid dissent. Never told cause of problem. Has anybody got any info of know where I can find out details please. Thanks Trav

  • the title says ripped froN

  • karaniskool40 are you from australia?

  • Aviation accidents are extremely rare, with the probability of a passenger being killed on a single flight at approximately eight million-to-one. If a passenger boarded a flight at random, once a day, everyday, it would statistically be over 21,000 years before he or she would be killed.

    Cool!

  • That's a lot of frequent flyer miles lol

  • @TX169 Yeah, I know someone who worked for United Airlines as a mechanic for over 37 years, and basically says the same thing! Also, people survive plane crashes. It's the smoke, and fire that's usually the killer. Pay attention to where you're sitting on the plane, and all exits (count the row as your enter the plane), it's handy to know in the dark!

  • 2:08 is that blood!?

  • @greenydude014 no i think it might be his skin turning red or peelin

  • might

  • @greenydude014 ;

    Narh it's sauce *high sarcasm*

Lol, yes it would be blood or either his skin peeling ^__^

  • yes that is blood. you can see it from pilot hand at 3.35-3.40.

  • @greenydude014 No it is just the light coming through his skin and the massive speed pinning him to the glass

  • Honestly I'd rather die instantly in a plane crash rather then a car wreck and being left alive fully paralyzed or in a coma.

  • mannn itsss scarrryyyy :(((((

  • same here but it is scary how the captain lies their with blood trikaling down his face

  • @Xiber1 no actaully he survived!

  • my old man as worked for ba engineering since late 60s and he new the engineer who signed of putting the wind screen with the wrong fixings !

  • Screen stays black...this section never loads. :(

  • that's why im scared of airplanes :S

  • you should be more scared or driving because statistically air travel is the safest. at least pilot have psychological tests, regular health checks and the hours between flights is monitored so they have enough rest, further reducing errors PLUS they have assistance compared to monkeys who can get their drivers license. no matter how many of these episode i see i will always choose planes over cars.

  • apriL987,

Your answer is only based on a technicality...Air travel is only based 'statistically' on the volume of people moved per flight. You have 1 jet, It moves 200 some odd people, per trip. Verses a Vehicle which moves, say, 5 people per trip. Which is statistically more effecient? Of course, I personally don't prefer trusting my life into others hands. If I die at the wheel of a car, which I am in control of, It's my own fault. I am a very good driver and prefer this method of travel.

  • Oh, but many times the car accident comes not by your fault but by an other driver's fault, and you are in such a situation that you can not do much. What if a trucker who fell sleep or is drunk and the truck comes towards your car...

  • At first I agree with you, but I recently read an opinion of a person who said that this statistic doesn't count for the following reason. If you travel say 20 times in your life by plane, and thousand times by car, taxi, or bus (you come and go at work every day) then statistically you can be killed on car. But what if you travel by plane twice a day (say your work lies at a town nearby). Then the possibilities are nearly the same, he said :-(

  • bloody hell you got more chance of getting struck by lightning y be scared

  • ouch!

  • the captain probably thought, this sucks.

  • and also "my mom was right, always wear your seat belt..."

  • @cokefan3 HE was wearing his lap belt. It sucked him out of it.

  • @collinsl02 Actually no. According to this, he had just unbuckled himself to get comfy and take his tea when the window blew out. Unless I wasn't watching this right...

  • @cmxix the plane hated him and wanted him tho leave

  • I dont think he had time to feel much lol

  • Imagine how the captain felt when he got sucked out.

  • he would be like "OH SHIT!"

  • wtf

  • wow thats scary
