  • Your cock is a spitting image of my 8 year old Gouldian, see my vid, its not that clear though

  • how do u identify a split to blue bird?just by looking at it.What are d points to look at?is it d rump before d tail?

  • @aguilonmontenegro visually you can't pick a split blue. but to get a split blue you need one blue hen or cock mated to a normal cock or hen- all young will be splits. then you can mate split to split ( but not bros and sis) and you'll end up with blue, split blue, and normal.you cannot pick between a plit blue and normal...both look the same.I know mine are because i have a colony of them...blues, pastel blues, silvers, and white breasted blues.and i keep detailed breeding records of all birds.

  • @atedol ,thnks for responding.I think to be sure that a blue one will be produced is to mate a Bluebck to a silver(100%split to blue)as silver color has that blue gene in them.Though blue to blue isn't recommended.
