@Rogerbradly You're right there, Rogerbradly. That would have been a cool car to drive as well although I personally like the Zephyr. That was originally going to be Jack Regan's car in the pilot episode for The Sweeney but it was omitted.
@Banner1979 : Interesting I did not know that I thought the Zodiak was the top of the range and thinking about it now it was probably a straight 6 not a V6 as I said earlier. There is a great Chase in the Sweeney as you well know I'm sure with a Ford Granada V6 The Sweeney and a Jag the crooks?
@Rogerbradly There were quite a few of those Ford vs. Jag chases in The Sweeney. I have the entire series of that classic show as I do Man In A Suitcase. I know someone on youtube who loves cars like the Zodiac.
Watched this ep again a couple of days ago. No matter how many times I see it the bit where the blonde shouts "MARIOCKI!! MARIOCKI!!" from the car to McGill NEVER fails to give me goosebumps, even watching the scene here it happened, it always does! :)
@CI5AgentSweeps It does give you a chill, doesn't it? When she chanted "mariocki" at him, it sounded like she was giving a death sign which turned out to be true near the end, forcing McGill to fight for his life as well as his friends. You know, there's a parallel with Pros episode Runner and Saracen episode Starcross because all three stories are about the hero / one of the main heroes being a target for revenge. I suppose the same can be said for Sweeney ep On The Run :).
@Banner1979 In that one, Cook wanted to kill Regan, but at least Regan didn't kill anyone close to him (although Carter killed his buddy Ames, in self-defence). :)
This guy Richard Bradford is the coolest guy ever! Though he should have been driving a Ford Zodiak V6 instead of a Zepher! LOL
