This book changed my life. The story literally called out to me and it still lives in my heart nearly 3 years after reading it. I had hoped to meet Stanford and I am truly sorry to hear of his passing. Yet in a way I am happy for him, that he is free of his pain and one again with The Great Spirit. Since horse slaughter recently became legal in the U.S., I am inspired to advocate for the beautiful creatures that Stanford loved so much. Together we can save the horses & each other.
I am very grateful to have been able to have Stanford Addison in my life as my uncle and my father figure. My mom is Stanfords sister. I loved all his stories. What I miss is going to visit and we would all sit around the kitchen table or in his room and all gather around him on his bed and listen to ghost stories. Home feels lonely without him and my grandma Stella.=(
I also have just finished reading this book. I didn't want it to end. Thankyou Lisa, you have given me real hope that there is so much more out there and that there are still good people in this world.
Hi Lisa, thank you, thank you for writing this book. I just finished it and not only did I appreciate the painstaking care you took in revealing the incredible journey your soul went through, but to show, through Stan, the incredible capabilities that humans do have in healing others. I would love to know more about the things he did to accomplish it and wonder what, short of being as close to the creator as he was, we can do to become closer to being like that. Thanks again!
