I enjoy these types of movies with puppets and animatronic with only a little CGI. The puppets in my opinion always made the movie more scary.

@ChinchillaAngel i agree i beleive it is becasue there is something actually there, while many actors can simulate the fear, emotions or feelings towards CGI creatures, objects, characters, they are essentially reacting to nothing, when there is something physically there like puppets, then both actors and audience can feel the fear and emotion becasue they know the thing is real.
