From what I understand, and I could be wrong, the sounds being heard around the world are from the t(?) plates rubbing together as there is an enormous amount of seismic activity occurring. In regards to Joe Paterno, it is quite strange that only after he was fired or so that we heard of his cancer.

With all the cold and warm air mixing lately,I think all the sounds from the winds and what not could be mistaken for these strange sounds. But "I will keep an open mind as always", anything is possible. When you have experienced paranormal things as i have and have had others to back up the claims it kinda changes your whole perspective on life and what the hell is really going on. @ineedmoneymo Where i live we've had a series of explosion sounds on several occasions. Same idea, the sound doesnt have an origin. I wish I had recorded them. I started hearing them last winter, long before they became an internet sensation. I've heard them about 4 times since. The video titled "Strange Sounds in Colorado Before Earthquake" is about the closest I've heard to what sounds like the ones I've heard.
