I LIKE RON CARLSON HE IS A GOOD MAN. I KEEP THINKING THAT FREEMASONRY IS CONNECTED TO THE TOWER OF BABLE WHERE THEY WERE TRYING TO BUILD TO THE SKY AND CONTROL THEIR OWN DESTINY THROUGH ASTROLOGY. MAYBE ANYWAY.
Master mason, past master, shriner; who is also a baptized believer and ordained deacon. No incompatibility at all. But you do have to be careful of the snares and stumblingblocks cast out there by those who confuse ambushing for witnessing. I've got one Savior...and it ain't Big Red.
I very highly doubt that any mason has left his lodge and resigned from freemasonry because of this man, from watching this I can see that this man is ignorant in masonic beliefs and has not done any original research on the topic. if the people in his audience spent money to see him give this speech they were scammed.
Though Freemasons claim otherwise, Freemasonry and Christianity are incompatible
By taking the Masonic oaths, the Mason is swearing to uphold Masonry and its teachings. Swearing to uphold Masonic oaths is sinful, unscriptural and should not be part of the Christian's life
They make a Christian man swear by God to doctrines which God has pronounced false and sinful. For example, Masonry teaches a universalist doctrine of "the Fatherhood of God" (John 8:42)
@gauleygirl2000 I am a Freemason, and while I do not agree that our oaths are sinful, I agree that they and our philosophies are incompatible with doctrinal Christianity: In the First Degree, we teach that all religions worship the same God, while doctrinal Christianity maintains that only Jesus is God. In the Second Degree, we teach that all good men go to Heaven, while Christianity maintains that only Christians go to Heaven, and through faith, not works, in Jesus alone. CONT.
@gauleygirl2000 In the Third Degree, we reiterate the philosophies of the first two degrees. And in all three Degrees, we teach that practicing Freemasonry can enable a man to reach spiritual, intellectual, and social enlightenment, while doctrinal Christianity teaches that enlightenment is only attainable through faith in Jesus.
The religions of Freemasonry and doctrinal Christianity are indeed incompatible. You either believe in one or the you believe in the other. Simple as that.
By taking the Masonic oath, the Christian is guilty of taking the name of the Lord is vain, because he has sworn unlawfully to things God has forbidden him to swear to. God says He will not leave such a person unpunished (Exodus 20:7)
How about letting this mason speak for himself- I love Jesus Christ first and foremost. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness is my personal creed. As a brother in Christ, I am speaking the truth when I tell you that there are masons that are not christians, but that does not make a fraternity evil. But I tell you, I love Jesus and His Father, the One true God. I repented of my sinful life years ago and seek only to please him with a life of sacrifice. That's the honest truth.
@livingwaterrevivals As a Christian, do you believe that only the faithful of Jesus go to Heaven? If so, what are you doing in the Masonic fraternity, which teaches that all good men climb Jacob's Ladder into Heaven after death?
As a Mason, I would find it terribly offensive if a brother swore an oath to doctrinal Christianity and an oath to Masonry -- he'd either be a phony Christian or a phony Mason, in my opinion. Either way, he'd be no brother of the Craft to me.
As far as the shrine is concerned, again, no blood oath and swearing the pagan moon god Allah as the god of our fathers. Allah is mentioned in the short play that you watch that takes place before your initiation, but is only that, a play. It isn't even a serious play. The shrine is probably the least serious thing on this planet. But as I said, no one man speaks for all freemasonry. Did Calvin speak for all Christianity, or does one single jew speak for all jews, or one boy scout speak for all?
Wow, that's a lot of information, and information I have heard before. I say again, I bow to no man, and call the worshipful master just that because that is his title. If his title were dog-sniffer or el presidente, I would call him that. The title means nothing, he's just the guy that leads the lodge. I'll say it again because you must have missed it the first time, no one man speaks for all of freemasonry, be it Pike or Hall, I care little for either and their writing is very boring to me.-
Letting masons speak for themselves This was in their Seattle Newsletter, THE COMMUNICATOR, November 1996, page 1. In the article, FROM THE COUNCIL OF KADOSH, by John W. Kraft, 32 degree Commander, I quote: (next comment)
"In Scottish Rite, as in most all of Masonry, all we require is that each of us have a universal belief in One Omnipotent Supreme Architect of the Universe. Regardless of our personal religious beliefs as Jews, Christians, Muslims or members of other religions, we are unified in required singular belief, respecting without embracing the religion of our brothers. Thus Masonry cannot be considered a religion."
"Masonry, around whose altars the Christian, the Hebrew, the Moslem, the Brahmin, the followers of Confucius and Zoroaster, can assemble as brethren and unite in prayer to the one God who is above ALL the Baalim, must needs leave it to each of its initiates to look for the foundation of his faith and hope to the written scriptures of his own religion." (Morals and Dogma, Albert Pike, 1956, page 226)
“Everything good in nature comes from OSIRIS—order, harmony, and the favorable temperature of the seasons and celestial periods.” (Morals and Dogma, Albert Pike, 1956, page 476)
Pt 1 "The true Mason is not creed-bound. He realizes with the divine illumination of his lodge that as a Mason his religion must be universal: Christ, Buddha, or Mohammed, the name means little, for he recognizes only the light and not the bearer.
Pt 2 He worships at every shrine, bows before every altar, whether in temple, mosque or cathedral, realizing with his truer understanding the oneness of all spiritual truth." (The Lost Keys of Freemasonry, Manly P. Hall, 33o, p.65, Macoy Publishing and Masonic Supply Co., Richmond, VA., 1976.)
Freemasonry teaches members should address their leaders with titles like “Worshipful Master” and kneel before them. But, the Bible commands us to call no one master save Jesus (Matthew 6:24; 23:8-10) and to worship none except God (Matthew 4:10; Revelation 22:8,9).
Freemasonry teaches that members must swear oaths on the Bible that involve mutilation and murder of human beings. But, the New Testament forbids the taking of oaths (Matthew 5:34-37; James 5:12) The Bible also forbids taking God’s name in vain and committing murder (Exodus 20:7,13).
You don't have to be a york rite or scottish rite to be a shriner, either. Further, the ritual dialogue is taken out of context and the "blood oaths" are understood in the master's degree. If any mason actually "repented" after listening to this guy babble on about himself and how awesome he is, then I seriously doubt they were masons. I am a Christian, and I love Jesus with all of my heart. I have a great prayer life and I love my Bible. I am very active in my church, and I am a Shriner.
@livingwaterrevivals this man is not lying. What u dont know about me is that I have a family member who got to the 32nd degee, also a shriner plus i have this video in its entirety. if ur a mason you bowed a knee to a MAN and worshipful master....and if you are a shriner and think Allah is the same God of the bible you are sadly blind. Btw since you dont have the full video, he has all the full documentation straight from the masonic lodge themself. No oath was taken out of context
@gauleygirl2000 No one mason speaks for all of freemasonry, no matter how scholarly he might be. I have never BOWED to any man and called him "master."The term 'master' could just as easily be 'president,' because that's all he is. You bow at an altar, to take the position to receive an obligation, each position means something and again, is explained to you in the third degree. I do not think Allah of Islam is my god. The Shriner "oath" is completely ridiculous, and is supposed to be. Continued
This video is full of half-truths and whole lies. The first 7 minutes is nothing but this man bragging about himself and those he "led to repentance." I doubt those are even true, because every real mason would know how full of it this guy is. For example,he says "you have to be invited by another mason." Not true, our very slogan is "2 be 1 ask 1."No mason can solicit membership. The wash. monument and dollar bill are NOT masonic symbols. This man is another "liar for Jesus." I stopped watching
@livingwaterrevivals thou dost protest too much. You cannot have two masters. Not only do masons bow down blindfolded to a man, you claim to be a christian but deny Jesus Christ when you take the oath saying you were in darkness before becoming a mason.
Being "in darkness" is not being spiritually lost, it is referring to being ignorant of freemasonry, NOT being hell bound. The rituals are just plays that you take part in to teach a different moral lesson. What you do not know about ME is that I was (and still am) a Christian minister long before I was a mason. I told myself that if anything was going to go against my Christ, then it is of the devil and I would have NO part in it. To this day, I have found nothing contrary to my King.
@livingwaterrevivals in the Shrine, the initiate swears a terrible binding oath in the name of “Allah, the God of our Fathers!” Mohammed was a false prophet and Allah is a god who has destroyed nation after nation of his followers. The red Fez itself was originally a badge of honor worn only by a Muslim who had actually killed a Christian and dipped his cap in the martyr’s blood. --but you already know this, you can try to deny it. You will have to answer to God. I will pray for you
