Russian weapons are tough, dependable, cheap to make and easy to maintain. Accuracy is more than tolerable. Given a choice between the two platforms, AR and AK I would take the AR every day. Accuracy is everything.Which would you rather have a Mosin-Nagant or a Garand, a Tokarov or a Colt 1911, a PPK or a Thompson. You could make the case that in every example the Russian guns are tougher, but the American guns put steel on target. Same with AK vs AR.

It has proven over and over that shot placement is more important than stopping power, which is why the more accurate ar-15 is superior. With the addition of 7.62x51 ar-10 type rifles and piston operated ar type rifles, the ar-15 is nearly superior in every way, including reliability. It is a modern, precise firearm, not an old design that is stamped together.

Being stamped does not in any way means its inferior. The Russians machined the AK along time ago and found it was costly and offered no advantage.

@Hincesti07 So, what you're telling me is that you haven't fired said m4s in basic? that you're basing your facts off a custom made rifle that you keep in pristine condition, firing premium match grade ammo through and spending hours to make sure it's clean after each day at the range? Don't get me wrong, I love the rifle they give me, because I can hit stuff with it and because I keep it clean. that doesn't mean that I can't appreciate a good simple design like the AK.

@Semmarv I know more about the AK than you will ever, at one time I did repairs on them until the clients of these shitty guns became a problem blaming me when the gun would not work better than what the gun was to be fixed for, and in one case one AK all I did was clean it for the client then gun blow up took out the kids eye's then they tried to take me to court to sue me.

He's talking about combat rate of fire, the overall rate of fire of shooting, reloading, then shooting again in a continuous cycle.
I also believe that this promo video predates the XM26 and AA12. As a mag feeding weapon it reloads faster then tube ergo higher combat rate of fire. It features less recoil nd bulk then the usua as well.

I used AK 47 and alike since I was 12. Tell you what, if shotgun based on AK47 out there I would buy it. I mean Benelli is cool and groovy, M16 is also cool, anything with trigger, I would like it. I agree. I'm American, but just because video games and television tells us things doesn't mean shit. I hate to admit it, but Saiga weapons are fantastic. The AA12 is not acceptable in combat conditions. Its too sensitive, just like the M16. A Saiga 12 SWAT with a shorter barrel, flash hider and a red dot kicks the AA12's ass. And there are reliable 20 and even 30 round drums for the weapon as well.

Some of our firearms weren't the best. But the Garand and it's later brother the M14. Badass! The AR180B is pretty good for a 5.56. The Thompson? The BAR? Maybe the M1 Carbine? Hellz yeah. The 1911, the Python, etc. etc. We've had a lot of good weapons, and some not so good. But we can produce them with a good quality fast and we improve on other designs as well. M6 isnt any good and thats why no one in the world uses it. Kriss is yet under development and I am not sure it will be used as due to its design it seems very unreliable to me. M110 is a very good sniper rifle and it is used by US army so I dont see any politics involved - same with SR25.

We produced 29 video's of other AKs blowing up to prove our point in court the AK is a dangerous low quality produce of 3 world country's thats not to be trusted.

@Semmarv I know more about the AK than you will ever, at one time I did repairs on them until the clients of these shitty guns became a problem blaming me when the gun would not work better than what the gun was to be fixed for, and in one case one AK all I did was clean it for the client then gun blow up took out the kids eye's then they tried to take me to court to sue me.
I never use gun shows at all, waist of time.
Also now I am closed until my Romanian business's are fully running

@creeperCBS The only real benefit the AA12 has over the Saiga is the internal recoil reduction structure. The Saiga is cheaper, faster to reload, less bulky and heavy, shot-type friendly, and you can acquire stocks with recoil buffers installed. 3rd party companies make drum magazines for the Saiga in the 30 round capacity range to rival the AA12. Sorry, but the AA-12 is over-hyped and unobtainable. And have fun with smooth reload transitions on it in a firefight.

the man in the video said that the saiga 12 has no rivals in rate of fire and combat capabilities and youtbe user 'dopenessinsurround' said the saiga 12 has less recoil than other 12 gauges. the AA12 shotgun has the least recoil of any 12 gauge due to the revolutionary new recoil system and has a faster rate of fire (as it is fully automatic). there are other 'assault shotguns' like the jackhammer, usas-12, xm26, rmb 93, spas 12, benelli 90 (to name a few).

I also believe that this promo video predates the XM26 and AA12. As a mag feeding weapon it reloads faster then tube ergo higher combat rate of fire. It features less recoil nd bulk then the usua as well.

I used AK 47 and alike since I was 12. Tell you what, if shotgun based on AK47 out there I would buy it. I mean Benelli is cool and groovy, M16 is also cool, anything with trigger, I would like it. But all genius is simple. You can argue that, but to me its true, and AK 47 based rifles it is simple and genius, fast and precise in shooting, easy to use and will work under any condition. What can you find better then that?

I agree. I'm American, but just because video games and television tells us things doesn't mean shit. I hate to admit it, but Saiga weapons are fantastic. The AA12 is not acceptable in combat conditions. Its too sensitive, just like the M16. A Saiga 12 SWAT with a shorter barrel, flash hider and a red dot kicks the AA12's ass. And there are reliable 20 and even 30 round drums for the weapon as well.

Some of our firearms weren't the best. But the Garand and it's later brother the M14. Badass! The AR180B is pretty good for a 5.56. The Thompson? The BAR? Maybe the M1 Carbine? Hellz yeah. The 1911, the Python, etc. etc. We've had a lot of good weapons, and some not so good. But we can produce them with a good quality fast and we improve on other designs as well. We just don't sometimes. The politicization of the military is major reason for this. *cough* Democrats *cough*.

M6 isnt any good and thats why no one in the world uses it. Kriss is yet under development and I am not sure it will be used as due to its design it seems very unreliable to me. M110 is a very good sniper rifle and it is used by US army so I dont see any politics involved - same with SR25.

A) The Saiga 12 has less recoil than most other 12 gauge shotguns.
B) There are many different magazine sizes (from 2-12) AND there are 20 and 30rd drums
C) The Saiga is more reliable, ligter, more customizable, with the same accuracy AND much cheaper.
D) The Saiga can be configured to run fully automatic.
That is not weak by ANY means.
