Honestly, (I think) a side to side/straight wrist/still body/strength match is extremely boring to watch, like a couple of statues. That's why I like professional arm wrestling, there's actually technique involved, moves, leverage, rotation, body positioning, it's more interesting, there's more happening and multiple ways to win. Both people know what they can and can't do, it's not cheating, you can outsmart your opponent, but it still won't save you against someone with twice the arm strength.

Sure they do, its not the only reason they win, it is a big part of the sport though. Technique is nothing without strength, Allen Fisher has serious forearm and grip strength, etc. plus he has great technique.

Magnus was Europe's best armwrestler for a while. Did Magnus win 26 world championships in his weight class...No. Magnus would probably beat Allen,...but that's b/c Magnus was 343 lbs and Allen was always around 165 lbs!!! In terms of proportional strength, Magnus can't touch Fisher. That's a fact. And if Magnus was world best armwrestler, he would have a rack of world championships, and I think he doesn't.
