  • REM with talent!! lol!

  • Was raised on Led Zep and Hendrix, and Elton John and all the rest, but for some reason I prefer to rock out to these guys to almost anyone else. Dont know why. Do you?

  • Sublime did a version of this song in the EARLY 90s on a drunken acoustic album

  • Also love this tune. Saw these guys in AZ while attending ASU in the eighties. Too bad it's never played anymore. Maybe Little Stevie will play on XM soon

  • CHRISPY DERSON!!!!!!!

  • "To give some cowboys some acid, and stay in motels." Fucking brilliant, and silly. I like that. Oh, and great song, too. Saw them in Madison, WI in, um, '86 or so.

  • .. !

  • .. !

  • I used to be in a band that toured with these guys

They took us on our first tour to Canada

We walked around Vancouver in 1986 looking for hash

We ate breakfast with the Hari Krishna's in St. Louis.

We played a show in together in Fayetteville Arkansas and after the show I almost got killed riding with a chick in her orange 240Z down a country road and she lost it on a curve at 60mph and we hit a brick wall and had to limp the rest of the way to the post-gig bash

    We were like Gods!

  • lol that's Woman Driver's for you:)))))

  • Awesome story.

  • well ,elvis at least you had a blast & lived

    to tell about it----automaticman .

  • best MK Ultra inspired song ever!

  • So sorry guys.....this is amost 20 years overdue on comment......god bless you tube. just plain said, this vidio completely rocks!

  • this is cool, i like sublimes version better though.

  • This here's a government experiment

  • and wer'e driving like hell, hell yah

  • I can't explain why I think this song is maybe the best ever written, but that is what I think.

  • me neither. I don't know why I like it either

  • i think its the cowboys on acid, honesly thats my favorite line in any song ever.

  • mine is "No one ever conquered Wyoming from the left or from the right" but i like it better on the Sublime version

  • these guys are touring again, they tour as Cracker and play as CVB as their own opening act, just saw them in Atlanta a few months ago, awesome

  • lol bradley nowell took the liberty of changing 2 bottles to 3 bottles and 18 yr old to 15 yr old...so typical of sublime haha

  • i swear he was a pedophile, so many of his songs talked about him and 15 year olds... giggidy giggidy

  • An awesome tune. Some of the best lyrics EVER!

  • Cool.

  • thx for putting this up. More plz!

  • yeah---it is agreat album . a lot of fun .

  • Take the hands off the clock we're gonna be here a while.

  • THis song makes me think of drunken college days! LOL Di:)

  • You mean you can actually remember those days? Then you must have been doing something wrong. If you can remember it, you didn't have a good time. I'm just pulling your leg. Yeah, this song does bring me back. I remember hearing it for the first time in 1988 on KLSU in Baton Rouge.

"Cowboys on acid are like Egyptian cartoons"

I don't know what that is suppose to mean now, but in 1988 it made perfect sense to me.

  • weeeeeeeeeellllllllllll.........it is a bit blurry! hahahahaha! I was at Chico State! Lots of FUUUUN! Peace! Di:)

  • 1988 was a whole lot of brain cells ago. I'm really not sure how the Hell I survived. LSU is known as a "party school". Playboy Magazine no longer ranks LSU in their Top 10 Party Schools because they said "Sorry LSU. We can't rank professionals"..lol.. But at least we both survived our college years to tell the tale. Now if we can just remember it.

I still love this song. I haven't heard it in a very long time. I wish CVB would get a little more airplay.

    Geaux Tigers!

    Peace

  • Bradley's verson is like 100000x better, someone should definatley post a sublime versoin on youtube

  • I couldn't agree more!! I never even heard of these guys, but I guess give credit were credit is due, they are the originators!

  • Umm one major difference is Camper would never cover that loser. Camper blows him away in a very sublime way!

  • great song. I also like the cover Bradley Nowell did on the acoustic album

  • great tune from a great album

  • yep....probably the best album by CVB....this is one of many great songs on it.

  • Cool. My name (Fatima) is on a song.

  • tx for this, great stuff. Never seen it only listened over and over years ago. Cool.

  • the best

  • Love this vid. Thank you!

  • the first concert I ever attended was CVB on the tour for this album, october 1988 in atlanta, ga. Our Beloved Revolutionary Sweetheart is a great example of an indie band going the major-label route without compromising their sound (or weirdness).

  • they released it on a 120 min comp as i recall. i love them

  • Wow. They certainly look young here. They should re-release that album for the 20th anniversary. Of course, they probably would have some trouble with whichever record company owns it.

  • they slept at my house- and left one combat boot!

  • Every song on this disc is a jewel

  • Never new Camper sang this tune. Originally hear it from Brad Nowell.

  • thank you so very very very very very much

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this gem! i saw this vid on MTV when i was a young'n & have been looking for it since. great video for a great song from a great band! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
