  • Matt 24:35 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away." Because the Church is united to Christ, the eternal Word. In unity with Him, she will preach His gospel and never pass away. She will baptise and lay hands on the baptised even though all the books on earth be destroyed. The written gospel comes through her, belongs to her, is in agreement with her and points towards her spiritual authority. Is disunity a characteristic of the Holy Spirit? No, but of Protestantism.

  • John 10:16 "So there shall be one flock, one shepherd." John 17:22 "The glory which thou hast given me I have given to them, that they may be one EVEN AS WE ARE ONE, I in them and thou in me, that they may become PERFECTLY ONE ..." His glory is given to his Body, the Church, rather than to scripture: scripture is not the Bride but only a glorious product of His glorious Bride. Protestantism is a hotbed of division and far, far away from being "perfectly one" like the Catholic Orthodox.

  • This is the scriptural model, there is no other. Even if you only believe in the Bible and not in the Church, the Bible itself points towards the Church as being given all authority by Christ. The Bible presents itself as twistable. 1 Peter 3:15-16. "So also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you according to the wisdom given him .. in all his letters. There are some things in them hard to understand which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other scriptures."

  • Scripture receives its authority from the Church. The Church does not receive its authority from Scripture but directly from our Lord himself through reception of His Spirit in the laying on of hands. As Christians we are to have our thinking guided by the Bride of Christ, rather than by scripture, because She has the Spirit of God and the gates of Hades shall never prevail against Her. She creates scripture, authorises scripture, canonises scripture, interprets scripture, not the individual.

  • Our Lord understood that the Torah itself didn't produce unity amongst Jews, nor even belief in Him. The authority and unity of belief in Him is created by the Holy Spirit acting in his disciples, rather than on holy texts. Did our Lord write anything in ink? He certainly said, "I will build my Church." He passed His SPIRIT & teaching AUTHORITY onto the Apostles by the laying on off hands, not by the writing of scripture. This is the scriptural model for spiritual AUTHORITY, there is no other.

  • There are two points that arise out of the Scripture, Matt 7:16 "You shall know them by their fruits." Firstly, that a disunifying force (not bearing an important characteristic of the Holy Spirit, ie, unity) is clearly hugely active in Protestantism. Secondly, that this divisive force is facilitated & justified by the adoption of the "sola scriptura" teaching, a teaching that didn't exist for a millenium and a half. Our ancestors knew scripture can't be authoritative enough to create consensus.

  • In life, one has to take a lesson from art of magic practised by magicians. It would be even better if one studies the secrets of how they can fool highly intelligent people into believing what they want them to see or hear. Look at the video above again. Can you spot the secrets of how the maker of the video try to convince you to believe what he want you to believe as true? This English idiom is most revealing."Something up the sleeves". David Copperfield can make an aeroplane disappear.

  • All such spiritual division cannot derive from the will of our Lord, which is that that His Body be one with Him, just as He is one with the Father. This spiritual division is facilitated by the Protestant attitude that scripture is subject to a Protestant sect's own reading of it, and that the Holy Spirit creates true teachings chiefly through that specialised reading. That is not how the Spirit works to produce unity: that way only leads to disunity and history proves it.

  • Even the differences between the various of Orthodox churches are in distinct contrast to the differences between the various Protestant churches, because the Orthodox churches teach the same fundamentals, so they are unified in the Spirit. Protestant sects do not so they are spiritually divided. Lutherans belief in infant baptism, Baptists don't. Baptists believe in a literal interpretation of scripture, Methodists don't. Methodists believe in the Apostolic succession, Pentecostalists don't.

  • Since Catholic dogma is so difficult to reinterpret into a personal religion, one cannot claim adherence to Catholicism while establishing a separate Church built on fundamentally different beliefs. One can however claim adherence to Biblical teaching while establishing a separate Church built on fundamentally different beliefs. Our Lord prayed that his followers be one. There are THOUSANDS of Protestant sects. Protestantism is by nature schismatic, it does not encourage unity. Catholicism does.

  • A sect can only develop through someone personally developing a new belief which departs from the majority belief around him. Catholic dogma does not permit this. Protestant teaching is that the Bible is the basis of your thinking. Unlike Catholic dogma, which is difficult to interpret in more than one way, the Bible can easily be interpreted, both well and badly, in multiple ways, allowing any person to claim Biblical authority to establish yet another sect based on their (new) personal belief.

  • He that hath an ear let him hear. These precious truth seekers found Jesus in His wonder and power and simplicity. Our prayer is that other Catholics will seek the Truth with all their hearts. Another good thread dear Catholic is done by Richard Bennett. Listen with an open heart.

  • @Radicallambschannel Sorry for the unintentional interruption from nepistepa. So, back to our discussion. Have you solved the puzzle of the two truths?

  • @Radicallambschannel Those who curse, make fun of,mock and blaspheme Mary, had better beware. It won't be long before the time comes for reckoning. Imagine you standing in front of Jesus and his mother. If I did the same to your mother how would you feel and how would I feel standing in front of you and your mother. It is the same. Would you welcome me with open arms? Life is short, eternity is forever. Why want to exchange eternity for this life because of pride, hatred, lies and foolishness?

  • @rocky60191 I wonder why fellows like you believe Mary is cursed & made fun of! And how in the world is she blasphemed? Why would anyone mock Mary, the mother of Jesus? What you don't want to understand is that Catholic Mary is NOT the Mary of the Bible. The two are totally different. Another fantasy you people have is that Mary is in heaven queening Jesus. This is blasphemous given the fact that she is a created being who should be worshiping her Creator not directing Him.

  • @rocky60191 You should be concerned about were you will spend eternity too, and whether it is not really you who has been duped in believing lies, because you trust man's system that authors of your faith other than Christ. We who are "foolish" know the position of Mary, She believer in Jesus her God who died to save her from her sins. We know nothing of her dispensing grace, being crowned as queen or that she remained a perpetual virgin & all other garbage RCC invented about her.

  • @bulyabalive Welcome Milly. You are quite a mouthful. I am at a loss of how to begin with you. You brought up some many issues as most Protestants do in one breath. What are you excited about? I would so very much like to have a discussion with you but unless you come down to your senses I see no way out. What I basically mean is what is the topic you would like to talk about? Is it Mary? Purgatory? Imputation? The Good News i.e. the bible? Please make yourself clear. Waiting in anticipation .

  • @rocky60191 >>You brought up some many issues as most Protestants do in one breath.<<

Have I? Well, since according to you I am out of my sense, just pick which ever you want, I give you the choice. Catholic Mary, none existance purgatory, imputation, the good news or Bible.

  • @bulyabalive Thanks for clearing the air. Because the whole issue of Protestantism rests on the Bible, let us talk about the bible. Why do Protestants believe that the final authority lies with the bible?

  • @rocky60191 Why do Protestants believe that the final authority lies with the Bible.

Because it is the only book(s) were God & His Christ is revealed & because Jesus held Scripture in highest esteem. "It is written" was his shield against the fiery darts of the tempter (Mat. 3:3; 4:4,7,10). Apostle Paul taught that Scripture is inspired by God (they are God's words) & is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction & instruction in righteousness.. (2 Tim. 3:16).

  • @bulyabalive Now probably, you are the one I am waiting for, to answer my questions. But what a silly answer you have just given. You said: "Because it.....(2Tim,3:16)". Do you mean to say that when all those stuffs in the inverted commas happened, there was already a bible in existence? What was the name of the bible? The Holy Bible According to Nobody? You make it look like Jesus and Paul were holding a bible in their hands walking around waving it like a street preacher? Come on , man.

  • @rocky60191 Mr. rocky, we have the Bible now, and you and your Church the arch-enemy of it can't do anything about it. And please don't give me the "we gave you the bible stuff" because I can see that is were your answers are leading to. You never did. The only work RCC did is to corrupt the Bible, hid & forbade it to people & in the process, killing & burning the Bible-believers at stake whenever they could get hold on one. I am sorry that you cannot see that Scriptures existed..

  • @rocky60191 ..in Jesus' time or in the times of the early Church. But for your argument to be valid I may again refer you to 2 Tim 3:16, prior to that verse v 15 reads "And that from a child you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation.." It seems your argument falls flat! Compilation of Scripturs in one book does not mean they never existed. They did long before Catholic Church showed up.

  • @bulyabalive Your name is Milly, right? Don't be angry. You are welcome home to the Catholic Church, if you so wish it.BUT: Please don't interpret my intention as trying to convert you. You can stay as a Protestant. It doesn't matter at all. Everything happens for a purpose. Only God knows. I am ending our discussion now. It is nice talking to you. Oh, yes, one more thing; There is a difference between the meaning of the Scripture and the Bible. However you don't have respond. Good-bye .

  • @rocky60191 >>You are welcome home to the Catholic Church,<<

Peter, while opening the kingdom of heaven, preached: Acts 2:21 "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Peter was quoting Joel 2:32. Peter went ahead to teach that Jesus Christ was that Lord he presented. Paul in Rom.10:11 declares "Whosoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed" Paul is quoting Is. 49:21. Salvation is in Christ Jesus NOT religious institutions.

  • @bulyabalive Honestly, when you answered that Jesus and Paul went around waving the bible like a street preacher, I gave up on you. And when you said the the Catholic Church did not give us the bible I thought I would faint. So, I told myself. This is an innocent victim of Protestantism. She is under the diabolical influence her pastors have cast over her). An intelligent person would check out everything for himself. For a start check my posts. Type rocky60191in Google. Type EWTN at the top. Go

  • @rocky60191 For you, Catholicism is your salvation through their sacraments. Therefore, instead of judging their theology by Bible standards, you judge the bible by Catholic doctrines & theology! This is what you call "home", but is it? Are you really worshiping God in your mass where Christ is sacrificed again & again when the Bible clearly says Christ's sacrifice was a once-&-for all matter, never to be repeated again (Heb. 7:27 & 10:12-14) or are you worshiping in vain (Mk 7:7)?

  • @bulyabalive I gave up on you because 1. Scripture that was associated with Jesus in this case is the Old Testament. He frequently referred and quoted from the Old Testament. He didn't carry it around.

    2. Bible contains both the New and Old Testament inclusive of the Gospel. A gospel is an account, often written, that describes the life of Jesus of Nazareth. According to the bible, the "gospel", is also defined as the "word" that comes forth out of the mouth of God.

    3. Bible means the book.

  • @rocky60191 If you read your earlier posts, it is you who asked an assumed question whether Jesus & the Apostles "walked around waving the Bible".. not me. However, you seem not to realise that Jesus knew Scripture because He is the one who gave it in the first place! It is His word! It was He who said in the beginning "Let there be light.." So if you really believe that the Bible (which contains Scripture) is the Word of God, this shouldn't be a point of contention.

  • @rocky60191 2ndly He taught His disciples to use Scripture & opened their minds to understand Scripture. He even castigated the Sadduccees (the learned religious fellows of his day similar to ours today) for not knowing the Scriptures & the power there in. 3rdly Jesus defeated Satan with Scripture; Heb. 4:12 "For the word of God is living & active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul & spirit, joing & marrow, it judges the thoughts & attitudes..

  • @rocky60191 ..the heart." This is not joke. Eph. 6:10-18 talks about the Armor of God which we need for our protection against the devil. In v17 it says the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, is the only instrument we have to attack the enemy, the rest are defensive. The war is in the Spirit & when you jeer & sneer at the Word of God, it may be an indication that you are on Satans side without even knowinging it. Ask yourself why does your Church down-play it?

  • @bulyabalive As I said, you are a good person but because of your good-nature pastors take advantage to hoodwink you. It is very pathetic. You know why I know? Protestants of your category know some bible verses by hard given to them by their pastors as bullets. Other than that they know nothing: like Jesus carrying the bible in his hand preaching like a street preacher.

  • @rocky60191 "Protestants of your category know some bible verses by hard given to them by their pastors as bullets."

I began reading the Bible when I was 10 years old. True, like any other God' loving Christian, I have learn a lot as I grew up along the way from other people & teachers of the word. Indeed as I have already told you, the Word of God is indeed in modern terms a bullet although I prefer a Sword. That is why I can stand. I have no particular interest in religions.

  • @bulyabalive You read the bible when you were 10 and did you understand everything you read? Did you do you own interpretation? You should. The Holy Spirit would guide you, Martin Luther said. Before his death his best friends and followers broke away into 40 different Protestant churches. I tell you. If I were a life-long Protestant now, this breaking up of the one Body of Christ into 4 millions individual sects and 38,000 churches would throw me into the arms of the Catholic church at once.

  • @rocky60191 >>You read the bible when you were 10 and did you understand everything you read?<<

At 10 I did not read the bible to understand or interprete it. I read the Bible to know God. Indeed the Holy Spirit drew me to read God's Word at that early age. Because of it I could identify error WITHOUT PASTORS, that once a Jahovah's Witness put their book in my hand (I had not know the cult before), I could identify the contraditions that led me to reject their writings.

  • @rocky60191 >>I tell you. If I were a life-long Protestant now, this breaking up of the one Body of Christ into 4 millions individual sects and 38,000 churches would throw me into the arms of the Catholic church at once. <<

I am sure it will, given the carnality of your reasoning, and given the fact that Roman Catholic Church is & was never the early Church in the NT! RCC was also not the ONLY Church BEFORE Reformation. 3rdly RCC is ALSO A SPLINTER CHURCH. Do you know that?

  • @rocky60191 4thly the allegation so often repeated by Catholic apologists that there are 20,000 to 30,000 Protestant denominations is simply FALSE . . . not to mention the double standard employed, for the Roman Church is not exactly united. There are untold factions & divisions, & diverse understanding of doctrine within Catholic groups & by different Catholic theologians and individuals. Having an umbrella name does not mean you are united. We are not fooled, my dear.

  • @bulyabalive Sorry to put you in a spot. The sighted man is the Catholic Church. Too embarrassed and afraid to admit it. Just another of Protestant evasiveness. Another trait of Protestantism is to put the blame on others when caught in a jam. See how many times you blame me when you are trapped. Trapped ; meaning having to admit the truth or you were forced to reveal your inadequacies. Tricks of Satan at work. Yet another trick is to say a certain truth or fact is false . Contd.

  • @rocky60191 >>Sorry to put you in a spot. The sighted man is the Catholic Church. Too embarrassed and afraid to admit it. Just another of Protestant evasiveness.<<

What on earth are you talking about?

  • @bulyabalive You know what I am talking about.

  • @bulyabalive Caught again. “It is challenging to write a coherent history [of Protestantism] because of the sheer multiplicity of Protestant and Protestant-like churches in the world today. The Atlas of World Christianity, published in 2010, counts more than 4,000,000 individual congregations worldwide, with most of them gathered into more than 38,000 Protestant denominations.”

Caught again. the liguty of your Mary by heart? No such a thing. Oh, I have caught enough of prey for tonight.

  • @rocky60191 >>Caught again. the liguty of your Mary by heart? No such a thing. Oh, I have caught enough of prey for tonight. <<

I am sure you have! Go to sleep, you must be very tired the way you are loosing your tempter & trying hard to make me loose mine.

  • @bulyabalive Now it is time to catch some more prey. You are sure there is "liguty of Mary" in The Catholic Church? Wait, let me summon more witnesses to verify your expose on "liguty of Mary" in the Catholic Church by a Protestant who claimed to have read the bible at 10 yrs old and was guided by the spirit to know how to reject Jehovah Witness. What, people? Ask her to show where it says in the bible to reject J.W.? Ask her to recite liguty of Mary? You heard them, Milly.

  • @rocky60191 Which "prey" are you catching? Which witnesses do you mean? Who are they? I am totally confused now! Do you mean to say you don't know the liturgy(sorry about the misspelling in the last post) of Mary which you catholics chant after chanting away the rosary especially in the so-called months of Mary? Are you saying I was lying when I said I STARTED reading the Bible at 10 years old? Where did I say I encounted JW at 10? Why don't you read the posts carefully?

  • @bulyabalive HISTORY is a mirror for us to find out our mistakes and to correct them so said H.G.Wells. Li Shih Ming, a Chinese scholar said, "History is a mirror for us to adjust our hat". Imagine this. Your daughter ask you, "Mummy, when is my birthday?" And you answer,"Aah, that is not important. That is history. I don’t care for history".

  • @bulyabalive 1.Here is a lady who suffers from amnesia. She doesn't believe in History. She doesn't know what she did an hour ago. 2. This same lady only remembers that Jesus and Paul walked around waving the bible in their hands like street preachers teaching the people. 3. This woman said she could not vomit on Mary because Mary was not in her house. 4. This same woman said that God only wanted to use Mary to be born into the world and so I said - child bearing machine (a sex object). More..

  • @rocky60191 >>1.Here is a lady who suffers from amnesia, etc<<

Oh Come on, don't you have anything better to write? Or must you write something for the sake of it?

  • @bulyabalive So, for Barrett, the Roman Catholic Church of the USA is a different denomination than the Roman Catholic Church of Canada. The beauty is, the anti-Catholic Evangelical Svendsen still has not faced up to the fact that there is ONE Catholic Church listed for every country Barrett lists. My conclusion is Barrett is a shady character of a Protestants to give the figure for Catholic denomination which our snaky woman, Milly happily take to quote 223 even though she knew it was untrue.

  • @bulyabalive

    Number of U.S. Denominations

    Catholic 1

    Orthodox 60

    Protestant 6,161

Remember, the above numbers are derived using Protestant sources only.

  • @rocky60191 >>Protestant 6,161<<

They have not planted enough Churches, so far. They need to plant more! And as I said earlier there will always be distinction of basis of jurisdiction, rather than differing beliefs & practices, why, because we are humans, not robots. In fact the Roman Magisterium has worked hard over centries to control the minds of its followers. You're all robots, the all lot of you. Forbiden to have a mind of your own when it comes to God's matters.

  • @bulyabalive “It is challenging to write a coherent history [of Protestantism] because of the sheer multiplicity of Protestant and Protestant-like churches in the world today. The Atlas of World Christianity, published in 2010, counts more than 4,000,000 individual congregations worldwide, with most of them gathered into more than 38,000 Protestant denominations.”

I am waiting for your evasions, blames, excuse, cursing, rejection of facts, turning truth into falsehood, blaming again and again.

  • @rocky60191 Are you running around your house, cursing and swearing at these reports and saying they are not true? No problem. These reports are not for you. They are for people on You tube reading and finding out how silly, inadequate and ignorant you are. Puffing up your chest and showing how intelligent you are would not naturally make you intelligent. You have to come down to the nuts and bolts of the subject of our discussion. Do not make a fool of yourself. People are watching.

  • @rocky60191 Why don't you simply answer my questions? I am on your post that starts >>Are you running around your house,<<

Do you know how you sound?

  • @bulyabalive World Christian Encyclopedia by David B. Barrett, George T. Kurian, and Todd M. Johnson (2001 edition). Barrett showsONLY ONE Roman Catholic denomination for the United States.Barrett's reference for Britain, listed ONLY ONE Roman Catholic. There wasn't one country listed by Barrett that had more than ONE Roman Catholic denomination. It seems Barrett is counting each country as it's own denomination.

  • @rocky60191 Is the USA the only country in the world? However you are living in denial. The sword which RCC shaped to attack Protestants happens to start in their own house. After all they were the leaders of splinters. You also living in denial when you lie that RCC has no division. I had just finished to one-hour long of "traditionals" attacking Real CatholicTV presenter calling him an heretic! To mention just one...

  • @bulyabalive Everyone is laughing at you. Liturgy of Mary. What a nutcase! This is the best example of a person with elephant hide. She has been proven wrong so many times but refuses to back off. I was discussing with three other Protestants before her. All three knew when to stop. That was when they knew they had hit a wall. But this devilish woman keeps on coming back for more derogating put downs. Catholics don't say "Liturgy of Mary" but "Mary in the Liturgy".

  • @bulyabalive This woman who said, "Peter opened the Kingdom of heaven" (ssh! an aside: Protestants would kill you for this) and who said,"Jesus and Paul carried the bible in their hands waving like street preachers teaching the people (ssh! an aside: Everybody will spit at you for this) is now asking "Is the USA the only country in the world?" What a silly question! She is trying to squeeze out of the lies which were exposed: ONE Catholic Church in every country.

  • @bulyabalive So she is giving the total of all the countries in the to show that there are 223 Catholic Churches in the world. I think I have to go down to the level of an idiot to teach her. Hi! A hand has five fingers. Now see ( I put my hand out in front with my fingers spread) How many fingers has a hand? FIVE HANDS. Ma'am, you had better take her to a psychiatrist. And DON'T bring her back

  • @bulyabalive The three Protestants with whom I was having a dialogue before you jumped in were different from you. They knew how to hold a dialogue in a more intelligent way. I think they are searching for the truths and the Absolute Truth. I wish them well and I will pray for them to eventually find what they are looking for. It is important that we do, for it could mean the loss of our soul for eternity. It is no use winning arguments & losing our soul. LIFE IS SHORT; ETERNITY IS FOREVER.

  • @rocky60191 2 Cor. 4:3-4

  • @bulyabalive That is it ,Milly. Stay focused. Don't stray when discussing a topic. Settle the target topic completely first then go on the next agreed topic. And don't get upset when your dialogue partner points out to you that you are going off topic. You can explain how this new point you bring out is related to the topic in question. Answer the questions posed to you. If you don't know admit it but NEVER EVER lie. If you are uncertain, admit it and you can forward you opinion about it.

  • @bulyabalive And the most important of all is to be patient and wait for a response from your partner. He may be busy or at work. Don't add new and unrelated stuffs to what you have asked him. 2Cor. 4:3-4 is what we would talk about.

  • @bulyabalive At first, I thought of giving an overview of what it was that St. Paul was telling the Christians in Corinth and the whole of Achaia. But on second thought, since you brought up the verse numbers, it is proper to give you the benefit of explaining what you understand by theses verses. I might learn something from you at the same time. O.K.? Take your time. 2 Cor. 4:3-4

  • @bulyabalive 2 Cor, 4:3 If our gospel seems to be veiled at all, it is so to those who are on the way to destruction,

4 the unbelievers whose minds have been blinded by the god of this world, so that they cannot see shining the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

These are the verses you cited. So what do you make of them? I am waiting. To preempt your intention: They are quoted to attack the Catholics, right? So go on and attack!!

  • @bulyabalive No attack, forthcoming. Well. Let me attack the Catholic Church for you. 1.The Catholics are on their way to destruction 2Cor 4:3-4 because the gospel is veiled to them. 2. the Catholics who are unbelievers are blinded by the god of this world cannot see the shining light of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. Right? Happy?

BUT wait. Let us see the whole picture (elephant). You are touching the tail of the elephant and thinking that it is a brush. The third blind man.

  • @rocky60191 >>Everyone is laughing at you. Liturgy of Mary. What a nutcase! This is the best example of a person with elephant hide. She has been proven wrong so many times but refuses to back off.<<

Jer. 20:7 "O Lord, you deceived me, & I was deceived; you overpowered me & prevailed. I rediculed all day long; everyone mocks me. Whenever I speak, I cry out proclaiming violence & destruction. So the word of the Lord has brought me insult & reproach all day long.." Cont..

  • @bulyabalive 2 Corinthians - Chapter 1

"1 Paul, by the will of God an apostle of Christ Jesus, and Timothy, our brother, to the church of God in Corinth and to all God's holy people in the whole of Achaia".

-This is the elephant's head. Paul is writing to the Christians in Corinth and Achaia.

    2 Corinthians - Chapter 2

"9 This was in fact my reason for writing, to test your quality and whether you are completely obedient."

-Why did Paul write to them? Going to the body of the elephant.

  • @rocky60191 And your point?

  • @rocky60191 Cont/.. Jer. 20:9 "But I say, 'I will not mentiion Him or speak anymore in His name, His word is in my heart like fire, a fire shut up in my bones..."

I have read you posts which seems to be addressed to me but actually are addressed to another "imaginary" person, so I decided keep quite. But I keep receiving more posts from you. However I don't like your attitude. Like most romanists, you are out for meaningless arrguments.

  • @bulyabalive 2Cor 3: 6" He has given us the competence to be ministers of a new covenant, a covenant which is not of written letters, but of the Spirit; for the written letters kill, but the Spirit gives life."

    - Open your eyes Protestants. The New Covenant is the New Testament. Paul said it was not written of letters, but of the Spirit (Sacred Oral Traditions). Why? not written of letters? Ans: "WRITTEN LETTERS KILL" but "THE SPIRIT GIVES LIFE." Protestants are killers. Sola Scriptura.

  • @rocky60191 Could you given an example of "Oral Tradition" you have recieved so far, & perhaps passed on to your children?

  • @bulyabalive IMPORTANT!

To anyone scrolling around, please stop and read the comments and posts below to see how a Protestant KILLS a bible passage to attack the Catholic Church.

  • @bulyabalive 2Cor 3:15 "As it is, to this day, whenever Moses is read, their hearts are covered with a veil,16 and this veil will not be taken away till they turn to the Lord.17 Now this Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."

    - Israelite hearts are covered with a veil: no use reading. This veil would be taken away only when they had turned to the Lord who is the Spirit and there was freedom. Protestant hearts are veiled: sola Scritura. Spirit: Oral Traditions

  • @bulyabalive 2Cor 4 It is not our way to be devious, or to falsify the word of God; instead, in God's sight we commend ourselves to every human being with a conscience by showing the truth openly.

3 If our gospel seems to be veiled at all, it is so to those who are on the way to destruction,

4 the unbelievers whose minds have been blinded by the god of this world, so that they cannot see shining the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

  • @bulyabalive - The word of God was the spoken word.Like the Isrealite the Protestant hearts are veiled. The Israelite relied on the written words of the Old Testament. Paul told the Christians believers not to be like the unbelievers whose minds have been blinded by the god (Pagan god) These are non christian. He told Christians in Corinth and Achaia not to be like them for the gospel seemed veiled to them and they could not see the shining glory of Christ. He likened them to the Israelite.

  • @bulyabalive See the evil sharing pair trying to harm the Catholic Church. They should get married. Barrett and Milly would be a good husband and wife team in their next life. I salute Svendsen. Even though he was a self-proclaimed anti-Catholic, he abstained from committing Intellectual Prostitution. He noted that Barrett listed ONE Catholic Church for every country in the world...never TWO. He had Intellectual Honesty . Lesson to learn "DON'T PROSTITUTE YOURSELF JUST TO GET MILEAGE!"

  • @rocky60191 >>It is challenging to write a coherent history [of Protestantism] because of the sheer multiplicity of Protestant and Protestant-like churches in the world today.<<

Who cares about history? For us our Lord, Jesus Christ is the Same, yesterday, today & tommorrow. He who spoke to Paul & delivered him from his delusion, can do so now as He did then. He is a Living God not past God who is history!

  • @rocky60191 The 4,000,000 individual congregatiion is quite O.K. given the fact in the NT, there was Community Churches planted by the Apostles. I don't read anywhere that there was any likeness of institutionalized Church in the NT. The Church in Phillip was distict from the Church in Corith & Ephesus. The Church in Berea was quite different from the Church in Thessolonic & Paul pointed this out! It more benefiting to become a child of God than a child of a Church!

  • @bulyabalive Your doctor asks you for your family history. Aah, that is history. It is not important. Like anything else, it is not important when we don’t need it. For example: the knowledge of your family history can help the doctor make a proper diagnosis and course of treatment. The mirror is not important until you need to groom yourself. Church history is not important until you want find out the Truth which will set you free from falsehood, lies and deceptions. You love living in lies.

  • @rocky60191 Do you know what, Dr. Jesus does not need to ask me my family history, He know it! And if you really want the truth, you go the the TRUTH Himself. John 17:17 "Sanctify them by the truth, your Word is the truth" He also said He is the Good Sherperd & that His sheep hear His voice. Can you testify of that? It is not history that guide us into truth, but rather the Spirit of God. You should learn to walk by the spirit not in flesh.

  • @rocky60191 The source of the 30,000 denominations was from the World Christian Encyclopedia (David A. Barrett; Oxford University Press, 1982). Barrett cites a figure of 20,780 denominations. However not all of them are Protestants. According to Barrett, Protestants account for 8,196 (incidentally, Roman Catholics account for 223). Even this figure of eight thousand Protestant denominations is misleading, for Barrett defines "distinct denominations" as any group that might....

  • @rocky60191 ..have a slightly different emphasis than another group. The distinction is made on the basis of jurisdiction, rather than differing beliefs & practices. Barrett breaks down the Protestant bloc into 21 major "traditions" which are much closer to what we usually mean by "denominations." RCC are subdivided into 16 such "traditions!" RC apologists in hypocrisy & irresponsibly - glanced at Barrett's work, arrived at all sorts of absurdities that Barrett never concluded."

  • @bulyabalive I used a word some time back: diabolical. Its meaning is: from Latin diabolus, devil; Diabolus original meaning is to tear asunder into many parts. Mark 5:9 And he asked him (the man who was possessed): What is thy name? And he saith to him: My name is Legion, for we are many. (Legion is 60,000 soldiers). Oneness is God. Divided or broken into many is Devil. Catholic Church is Oneness. Protestantism is many 4 mil. sects grouped into 38,000 churches increasing by 500 each year.

  • @rocky60191 >>I used a word some time back: diabolical. Its meaning is: from Latin diabolus, devil;<<

I am interested to know the deference in meaning when translated into English! Typically, you are using the "Latin" game(or Greek) not to make meaningful point but simply as a show off! I have met such thinking many times & am amazed. It is really boring. 2ndly you totally misrepresenting the story in Mark 5:9. Incidentally the Churches in the NT were not institutional Churches.

  • @bulyabalive Any sane man would not remain in Protestantism."Life is short; Eternity is forever". Satan the Prince of lies has tricked many into believing that they are saved. (Once saved, Always saved). See what you have done: Peter, while opening the kingdom of heaven, preached: Acts 2:21 "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Firstly what do you mean 'opening the.....' I am going to bite this blank bullet in my teeth later. Legions.

  • @rocky60191 >>Firstly what do you mean 'opening th...'<<

What did Jesus tell Peter in Mat. 16-19-20. As a Catholic, those should be your favourate verses. 2ndly do you mean to say Acts 2:21 is not true? If not, then why on earth is it in the Bible? Who enables a person to "call upon the name of Lord"?

  • @rocky60191 Still on the same point, I don't know why you judge "Protestant Pastors" the way you do & even say they "know nothing"! It is an attitude which I recall meeting when I attended a Catholic Boarding School for several years. The despising attitude towards protestants surpised me. The assumption that our beliefs are inferior was staggering, & being young, I could not even realise that while in religious classes none of my Catholic...

  • @rocky60191 ..friends could answer bible quesition which were so simple to me. Yet we were regard and know-nothing pupil, the same attitude I am meeting now! My point is you cannot sit down and listen to a genuine preacher as long as he is a protestant, right? Why, you have been brain-washed from the very beginning, they know nothing! Sadly it is the same attitude the Apostles had to endure when they first preached the gospel see (Acts 4:13).

  • @rocky60191 With things of God, when you claim to be learned & full, know that you are off because it is the Holy Spirit which leads us unto all truths & He will never contradict His Word. Jesus castigated the Pharisees "who knew everything" for making the Word of God inffective because of their tradition! He went ahead to warned His disples to be on guard against the leaven of the Pharisees, meaning their many teachings apart from God's which makes them appear big but without value!

  • @bulyabalive Even the history of who, when and what of the beginning of the bible , they don't know . It was the Council of Carthage (397 A.D.) that settled all doubts on the canon or list of books which all Christendom had until the Reformers changed that list.

  • @rocky60191 Very few people if any come to the Lord & are saved, do it through "knowing history". For us which are saved the Lord Jesus is our HIStory! I have heard many "learned people" who became Catholics, interestingly they testify, by reading "church history"! On the other hand former Catholics testify they came to know the Lord by convinction through Bible - His Word & teachings of those who trust in the Lord as the only one who can save. Religious rituals saves no-one.

  • @bulyabalive Don't, please Milly, for the sake of your two lovely children do something however painful it may be. C.S. Lewis said,"Pain is God's megaphone to the deaf". It is going to be painful to step into the unknown territory of the Catholic Church and take a look. Trust God. God is Oneness. Devil is Many. Life is short: Eternity is forever. If after you have done that, and you find that you are in the right place, well good. At least you have given God a chance to speak into your ears.

  • @rocky60191 >>It is going to be painful to step into the unknown territory of the Catholic Church and take a look. Trust God.<<

How do you come to the conclusion that I know nothing about Roman Catholic Church? I am sometimes surpised at the among of ignorance Catholics have about their own Church! Do I really give you that impression. Do you know that I know the liguty of your Mary by heart? Or the useless mass, benedictions etc.

  • @bulyabalive Let me tell you the story of an elephant and the three blind men. One touched its body and said it was a wall. Another touched its leg and said it was a tree trunk and the third touched its tail and said it was a brush. The elephant was the Bible. The blind men were Protestants. All, and like their pastors, knew a lot of untruths but NOTHING of the truths. Then came the sighted man. He asked, "What are you doing?"

  • @bulyabalive The first said that there was a wall, the next, a tree trunk and the last, a brush. The sighted man said,"You are all wrong. It is an elephant". The three blind men with one voice scolded and cursed the sighted man and chased him away and did want to have anything to do with the sighted man. The sighted man was left alone by himself. One sighted man.

  • @rocky60191 The 3 blind men & the elephant story is used mostly by politicians & ecumenical-supporters. I am surprised that you use it to describe Protestantism. BTW Vatican II decided to call protestants "separate brethren" yet you are here callings us blind devils. Who is right, you or your Bishops who believe they are infalliable?

  • @bulyabalive Then the three blind man turned to one another and started questioning one another about what they had just said. The 'wall' blind man walked away from the 'tree trunk' blind man and the 'brush' blind man walked way cursing the other two. Question time, Milly. Who was the sighted man, if the three blind men were Protestants and their pastors?

  • @rocky60191 So you 1st question is answered, the stuff in inverted commas, in the case of NT church were written down addressed to the Church or persons & the criteria they were know to others was the Church or person "copied/read them to other Churches or persons" as evidence by Col. 4:16. In Luke 4:17, Jesus in given the Scroll of Propeht Isaiah, that was the name of the that book while the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers & Deutoronmy were called the book of Law.

  • @bulyabalive You are a good person and I admire you for that. Sorry, if I have offended you in any way. Your last post made me realize how tough it is to be a working mother. A mother and wife who gives her life for her family. Are the two cute little children in your channel your children? I am going to pray for them. That they will grow up healthy and strong and learn to love God. I am a faithful Catholic. I will be leaving for Mass soon. I will pray for you and your family. (Contd.)

  • @rocky60191 >>You make it look like Jesus and Paul were holding a bible in their hands walking around waving it like a street preacher?<<

And do you blame me? When Satan came to tempt Jesus in the wilderness, Jesus simply answered him with Scripture "It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." Jesus was quoting Deut. 8:3. "It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God." Deut. 6:16 and the third tempt..

  • @rocky60191 ..Get you from here, Satan: for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve" the Lord was qouting Deut. 6:13! So incidentaly Jesus was holding "Scripture" in His hand walking around waving it like a street preacher and the devil run! In the great 1st summon of Peter in Acts 2, he quoted Scripture 13 times! Paul wrote in 1 Cor. 15 that he preached Christ according to Scriptures. Have I left out any question?

  • Comment removed

  • There are as many interpretations of scripture as there are Protestant sects. How does one know that one's interpretation is correct? 2 Peter 3:16 "There are some things in them hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other scriptures." Catholic Orthodox dogma (including the discernment of the canon of scripture) developed over 1400 years. How could Christ have withdrawn his Spirit from His Bride all that time?

  • MISINTERPRETED VERSE

John 14:6: Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me". It means that after the fall of Adam and Eve man was separated from God. Man invented all kinds of religions to go back to God. That was before Jesus came. Now that he has come, there is no need for all the other religions. He established the Catholic Church and chose Peter to be its head. He entrusted his church to continue his plan of Salvation until he comes again.

  • ARE YOU STANDING ON SOLID GROUND OR QUICKSAND?

    1. If it is solid ground; It is firm, steady, undivided, protected from disintegration, rock-like foundation, unwavering, indissoluble, permanent, unchanging, invincible, has history and traditions, one on the side of truth: If you stand on it, you will stand tall.

    2. If it is quicksand; It is loose, billions of grains of sand on its own, floating from one place to another, uncompounded: If you stand on it you will sink. The choice is yours.

  • Catholics' faith in the West have slackened. So Christ is bringing in sheep from Africa which rose by 146% Asia by 63% L. America by 42% etc. The number of priests rose from 405,178 to 410,593, Bishops who have av. of 81 priests per person rose from 5002-5065 ( 2011 stats for 10 yrs). Thanks to the priests' abuse scandal Christ makes His Church stronger. For, in this test of faith, the weak flee . The strong stay. CATHOLICS PLEASE BE STRONG AND STAY. Be Peter not Judas, St.Augustine not Luther.

  • @rocky60191 Dear deceived one, Flee the institution and follow Jesus. He will give you the Holy Spirit who will lead you into Truth. But convincing a dyed in the wool Catholic is nearly impossible. You may be sincere but sincerely wrong. It's not your fault, you believed what you were told. Do your own search for Truth as these dear people did. The Way is narrow and few there be that find it. Numbers only convince that Bible prophecy is true...2Thes. 3&4. There will be a great falling away.

  • @Radicallambschannel Yes, I have got it! How about you and I together do a research and search for the truth as you have just said, 'sincerely'. Since you think that I have been deceived, I will let you tell me first. What is truth?

  • @rocky60191 John 14:6 - Jesus is the Truth and He's THE way and He's THE Life. No one gets to the Father but through Him. Please read your Bible. It is MUCH more reliable than the Catechism you have learned. Catholic catechism is used to control you and Jesus will set you free if you will let Him. Don't complicate the Scriptures with man made traditions. The Lord condemns them. But He came into the world that the world through Him might be saved, not condemned. He is the only Way dear one.

  • @Radicallambschannel Oh, you are still around. You still haven't answered my question. I had to answer it for you. O.K. Never mind. Now, since you are back. I am going to tell you what I had illustrated to you about the 400 yrs without the bible, about the Sacred Oral Traditions, about the Magisterium, about the Chair of Moses to the Chair of Peter and the Chair that Pope Benedict sits on now are are truth. BUT; it is a different truth from the "TRUTH" used in John14:6. WHY? Explain!.

  • @rocky60191 That is my point exactly. How can there be 2 Truths? Jesus is the Truth. The other truth you talk about is a fairy tale that you would not believe if you checked it against scripture. Where does Jesus Or any of the disciples practice any of the sacraments that you practice? If the sacraments were to be practiced, wouldn't Jesus or the apostles have mentioned them if they are so important to salvation? I trust the Holy Spirit which is offered to every man, not some "chair".

  • @Radicallambschannel Now, a puzzle for you.The 400 yrs. when there was only Sacred Oral Traditions, the Apostolic Succession, Church fathers and Church History which you classified as fairy tale, would be in which category of truth from the truths I have listed? THINK! You can't find it in the bible. Sorry, not everything can be found in the bible. Just because you can't find the date and time of Jesus' birth in the bible, that doesn't mean that Jesus wasn't born nor was it a fairy tale.

  • @Radicallambschannel The day of reckoning is not the end of the world or the second coming of Jesus. It is the moment you die. When? It could be today. Tonight. Tomorrow. So one should be ready. It is the FAIRY TALE of ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED that put many to live in this fantasy. They believe that they are destined for heaven. It reminds me of the Chinese Boxer Rebellion where some martial artists fought having been made to think that knives and bullets couldn't penetrate them. Like Superman.

  • @rocky60191 And the 2nd coming of the Lord can be today, tonight, tommorrow. Are you ready? To me the real fantasy is the profitable business of purgatory. Take way purgatory, which at least gives a false hope of making it to heaven after being roasted for sometime in the fires of hell, oops I mean purgatory, you will not have Roman Catholicism. In Catholicism one will never do enough to please their God. They know nothing about the Good News of imputation!

  • @Radicallambschannel Do you see the craziness in Protestantism which I posted 9 hrs. ago. Who would not flee from such craziness? The truth is Christ did not give each of the 12 Apostles a book called the bible. He did not even say that the bible was the final authority. The bible also did not say it. There was no bible for 400 years after Christ. There was no printing press during the time of Jesus. Now see how smart you are. How was the teachings of Jesus passed down? Answer this first.

  • @rocky60191 the New testament was written by eye witnesses, the very close friends of Jesus. They wrote down their accounts long before the fall of Jerusalem which was 70 A.D.. These accounts were discovered and compiled later as our New Testament but were written very early. Read 2 Tim. 3:16, John 14:26 and 2 Peter 1:21. Dear one, the Bible is all you need. Go to bible.ca/cath-overview-false-teaching.htm. There are many sites that clearly show how Catholic doctrine contradicts the Bible.

  • @Radicallambschannel I haven't followed this discussion, but Jesus transferred his Spirit and authority to men. That Spirit and authority was then transferred to other men. There is no other model. This Spirit and authority was never transferred away from men to a book. In the scriptural model, the authority of the Spirit is vested in the Church of God, the pillar and bulwark of truth since the 1st century, and the gates of Hades have not prevailed against her.

  • @nepistepa You can remain in your deceived state of mind if you want to. You Catholics do not honor the Bible as Truth and authority and Christians do. What do you do with the testimonies of ex priests and nuns who expose the ugly secret sins of the business? You believe what you are told so that could change with any whim of the pope. We believe in the unchanging Word of God so that we are not deceived. Why, why, why would you put so much trust in man? Dangerous!

  • @Radicallambschannel Your comment does not deal specifically with any of the points I made, so de facto, you are not listening, nor discussing, merely monologuing, so you make yourself not worth conversing with. I depart quickly with a last comment that Catholic dogma has built up over 2 millenia and is essentially unchanged over that period, so no Catholic can change what he believes "with any whim of the pope" whereas Protestants change their beliefs on any personal whim.

  • @nepistepa I am a Protestant and my beliefs about salvation have not changed at all since coming to faith in Jesus Christ my Savior. And I speak for most protestants. The Word of God and God Himself changes not so our beliefs don't change either. We follow the Holy Spirit which is given to men when we ask. Luke 11:9-13 He leads us from day to day as we yield to Him. I am sorry that you don't find me worth conversing with. And I'm sorry if I have offended you. Peace.

  • @Radicallambschannel You are in a jam. Firstly, you said there is one truth, not two truths. You also said that the 400 yrs without the bible but with only the oral traditions, protected by the Magisterium headed by the first Pope St. Peter and through the Apostolic Succession the sanctity and authenticity of Christ sacred teachings which has been upheld from corruptions and the evil intentions of men was FAIRY TALE. The fairy tale came mostly after 1517. Now there are 4 mil. fairy tales.

  • @Radicallambschannel Allow me now, to recapitulate and consolidate. As truth is grouped into two i.e. natural truths: e.g. moral truths, scientific truths, geological and all other truths of this world which are impermanent and the other which is absolute truth: i.e. God: who is out of this creation, who has no beginning or end and so, is infinite. In the beginning was the Word...The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. So, Jesus is the absolute truth. His oral words were truth.

  • @Radicallambschannel Following from this truth, the Catholic Church's position on the role of Mary is clear. She is not God. Jesus is. She was instrumental in bringing God to the world as man. She carried him in her womb to visit her cousin, Elizabeth and there is she showed her the Son of man, when Elizabeth said," Who am I to be visited by the mother of my Lord? Why? the baby in my womb leaps for joy". Likewise she is carries Her son to us and in a quiet way says this is Jesus listen to him.

  • @Radicallambschannel The Way, The Truth and the Life was in the womb of Mary for nine months. Later when The Way, The Truth and The Life was bigger he went with his mother to a wedding feast at Cana. The host ran out of wine. Mary told The Way, The Truth and The Life to help him. He said,"Woman, don't you know the time for my mission has not come?" Meaning it is not time for him to perform miracles to reveal himself. Mary said to the host." Do as he tells you".Q: Did Jesus answer Mary's request?

  • @rocky60191 >>the way the truth and the life was in the womb of Mary....<<

Well, He had to be born to fulfill His purposes, I believe. The story is about the Saviour not His servant he decided to use for the purpose. Because Mary (of the Bible) is just that, a servant used of God. So take you own advise and adhere to Mary's words, "Do as He tells you.." Not as she tells you (the demonic apparations have many tales for you) but biblical Mary let Jesus speak. Jesus has many says.

  • @bulyabalive Knock, knock. Are you home? Easy to vomit but difficult to swallow, right?

  • @bulyabalive You have vomited all over the Mother of God. She is covered with your vomit. You hate the Catholic Church so you hate her. How outrageous. She is just an object used by God to bear the Way, the Truth and the Life and to give birth to him and to nurse him and look after him and everything a mother should to be in the end cursed as just a dirty object, a servant. Now I know why your husband treat you as a sex object and your children treat you as a child bearing machine. A servant.

  • @rocky60191 >>You have vomited all over the Mother of God. <<

I don't have her in my house, and even if I could find her somewhere, I don't think she will make me so sick as to vomit, do you? BTW from my comments just point me to one hateful word against Catholic Church & its queen, then we will discuss that. Most likely you, like many romanists, are being paranoid.

Being a servant used of God is a privilege, honey. Mary herself acknowledge that. "..Behold the servant of the...

  • @rocky60191 ...of the Lord; be it to me according to your word." (Luke 1:38). But of course in the your aberrant world, were you “wrest…scriptures unto your own destruction” you don't realise that and unfortunately, “many follow your pernicious ways” thinking they serve God, but are in truth the “enemies of the cross of Christ.” (2 Pet 3:16; 2 Pet. 2:2 & Phil 3:18-19).

Actually your comment involving my husband is stupid & shows how low your thinking is in things of God.

  • @bulyabalive That is how Mary thinks and how Jesus would think if you people go on blaspheming Mary. So the stupid message is to tell you that it cuts both ways. Stop it! Now you know how it hurts. Evil thinking people should be treated as animals. Who cast the first stone? Tell me. The verses you quoted are directed at the Protestants, the rebels against the Church and bride of Christ. Jesus called the Pharisees snakes and vipers. Did the Pharisees say there are no snakes in our home?

  • @rocky60191 "Evil thinking people should be treated as animals."

See what I mean? It is God who says there is nothing good in humans, therefore, each one of us is "evil thinking" WHO TREAT EACH OTHER AS ANIMALS.

Rom. 3:10-12..There is non righteous, no, not one, there is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable, there is none that does good, no, not one..v23 "For all have sinned & come ...

  • @bulyabalive Don' try to run away. Was Jesus holding a bible in his hand preaching like a street preacher? If yes, good and fine. If no, why did you say such a thing?

  • @rocky60191 ..sort of the glory of God:" So are you or your self-rightous Church worthy to cast the first stone? BTW there is no where the bible teaches that people are evil for rebeling against the Church or the bride of Christ (whoever that one is!). People rebel against God & His word. Even when we sin, we sin against God not against some immaculated heart of some lady as you are taught. But I feel I am wasting my time since you don't even take time to study God's word.

  • @rocky60191 >>Jesus called the Pharisees snakes and vipers. Did the Pharisees say there are no snakes in our home? <<

O.k. since your choice of the topic was Bible, as we go along, we may find out who are the pharisees of our time and who the real rebels against God are.

  • @bulyabalive Don't spin a web around yourself. I want an answer to my question first about what you said about the bible and then we can proceed from there. I stay on the topic religiously. After touching on the topic, I have the liberty to go to the stuffs you sprout out. They cannot be left hanging waiting for clarification. For example, Mary not in your home so you could not vomit on Her or say things about your husband etc. We will have a tight discussion. O.K.? No running around in circles.

  • @rocky60191 >>Don't spin a web around yourself. <<

Should you worry about that? However, I have no clue on what you are talking about in this post. I did not have time to finish my posting. It may frustrate you but I do have other things to do. And being a weekend, I have some time to spare, but not so during the week.

  • @Radicallambschannel God Jesus changed his plan for Mary. Why? She was his mother. Two, she said, yes, to be the Ark of the new Covenant. He honours his mother. Unlike Millions of Protestants who curse his mother, he loves her very much. They think they are doing Jesus a great service. I want to tell them that they can go on doing that. They think that Jesus is so delighted that they curse his mother. He will surely prepare a mansion for them in heaven, so they think.
