The one mistake was the legs apart as he his the vault table

This seems a classic case of a gymnast having to perform a vault they almost never do in practice and only compete a few times per year. As superior as his technique and air sense were on his first vault, it was completely lacking on the second. Such a shame.

The first vault was a perfect 10. Those judges sucked.

@Elbembu2 I think it's because he did land a little deep... but still.

@Nocturnelle72 His landing wasn't deep at all. He landed with his chest up with normal knee bend, which is all the more impressive considering what he did in the air. If the judges didn't give that a 10, nothing was getting a 10 at these Olympics.

What can be more perfect than this vault to get a perfect 10.0? Impossible, these judges have serious vision problems
