What a pleasant surprise! A rational, reasonable Republican. People like Frist are a rarity in the GOP today, and the GOP sorely needs them, because if they keep going down the extremist, radical, lunatic-fringe path, their party is going to disappear!
Could someone from England explain what the hell he is talking about? I dont even understand his point. What, he dont want nurses and doctors to be able to go home at night?
Its funny that stating the truth and clearing up a misconception is to you "moving to the left." you probably think hes "betraying" the right dont you?
ur gonna have to realize that reality has a liberal bias...
Bush was called those things and worse, and many other presidents have been called much worse than those things. Since when did the zealots on either side care about accuracy? I think that's the question you should be asking yourself.
"LOWER PREMIUMS by $2,500 for a Family of Four" ????
obama..."If you've got health insurance through your employer, you can keep your health insurance, keep your choice of doctor, keep your plan," obama said on 10-15-08 debate against McCain.
"The only thing we're going to try to do is lower costs so that those cost savings are passed onto you.
And we estimate we can ***CUT***the average family's premium by about $2,500 per year."
obama... "I think we can anticipate that there would be people potentially who are not covered & are actually HURT if they have ***a mandate imposed*** on them."
In June 2009...
obama indicated in a letter to Kennedy & Sen. Max Baucus that he was changing his tune to ***accommodate Congress*** on the proposed bills that CALL for an ***individual mandates***!
Wow, I'm surprised this came from my old Senator. I'd like to see all of this interview though.
I'm fine with socialized medicine having used the ultimate socialized medicine in this country--U.S. military heathcare. You want to know what Communism is like, join the military--and I've done multiple enlistments and I'm still a very open-minded person.
Don't listen to the nonsense people. Just read up on it (and everything else too!) for YOURSELF from credible, peer-reviewed material.
You were fine with your treatment in the military? I guess some bases must be different than others because I still have a hard time seeing a doctor today after the traumas I experienced with military healthcare.
Overall, yes. I was both active Air Force and active Army (believe it or not, AF first!). The healthcare I got in the AF was great. I had surgery six years ago and still no complication. Now with the Army, it was more hit or miss. My experience at Womack on Fr. Bragg was good. Some other places, no so much. Overall, I saw better care at an AF field hospital in Iraq than throughout the Army. It's getting better. And I've been lucky too.
Yes, luck does count for a lot. It is going to be a key issue in any socialized medicine scheme since it will be the factor that replaces choice. My experiences were entirely in the navy and they were unimpressive to say the least. Having said that, my sister-in-law is currently a dentist in the navy and I know she is excellent. That's one base though, and I'm certain that's not the situation at all of them. Perhaps you see what I'm getting at. Thanks for your reply.
Obama 'steady as you go' attitude, eventually wears down the ignoramuses in opposition; because in time, Americans will become a bit more educated by Professor Obama, and appreciate what is truth and in their best interest, and what are PLAIN LIES from the republicon Party of No. lol

Good because that where they should move towards and they realize it that the demographics have change and it's working against them.

"LOWER PREMIUMS" (cont)
CBO.. "For most preventive services, expanded utilization leads to higher, not lower, medical spending overall.
The legislation from the Senate Finance Committee could result in higher premiums for customers.
The insurance industry is threatening that the $6 billion industry-wide fee & other taxes Sen. Baucus has proposed will be passed on to consumers.
This means..
It may be YEARS OR DECADES before any overall savings from obama's plans materialize.....if at all."
