I have a question, islam respects and tolerates judaism and christianity, that's fine, but I'm a Thelemite. That is why Christians and Jews are allowed to practice their religion but not convert people away from Islam. @DKB786 Btw, The greatest crime of the Crusaders was the sacking of Jerusalem, in which at least 3,000 people were said to have been massacred. This number is dwarfed by the number of Jihad victims, from India to Constantinople, Africa and Narbonne, but muslims have never apologized for their crimes and never will.

@Puseye2 The Crusaders sack many cities on their way to Jerusalem, and even ate the inhabitants to survive. Christians have killed millions during the colonial period. In India alone, 100 million starved to death in the first 100 years because the Brits forced the farmers to plant cotton and not food grains. Anybody who opposed the Empire was strapped to a cannon and blown to bits, and the village was razed to the ground. European Christians have killed millions in just about every continent.

@Puseye2 That is my whole point! Christianity has no rules for how to govern a people, so people are instead governed by animal instinct. The Conquistadores were devout Christians, but since Christianity did not teach anyone how to rule subject peoples, the Spanish exterminated the Aztecs and Mayans. Same with the Americans and the Native Americans. Many Americans are devout Christians, but Christianity is not against racism. Islam would have dealt differently with its subject people.

@Puseye2 This does not neglect the fact that in the Old Testament Moses is commanded to kill all of the Amalekites and take their women and children as slaves. Or how the Israelites displaced the Canaanites in order to claim their "chosen" land. This sound a lot like what the Americans did with the Native Americans, and probably why the US supports Israel because they both share a history of ethnic cleansing. The Olde Testament is a genocidal book.

Either the Old Testament and the Qur'an both promote violence, or they both condemn violence, or both. I think that they both perscribe violence when it is needed and condemn it when it is unecessary. If you are against violence, why do Christians follow the Old Testament which is full of violence?

@Puseye2 I have all the sources. Read any history book! Even Western ones cannot mask the sins of European expansionism. Then read about Islams view of treating subject peoples. Read Surah al-Kahf, the second part about Dhul-Qarnein. He is the ideal ruler in Islam and he treats subject people with respect and dignity, not like the Europeans did with the rest of the world. After that, see how every people and every faith servived under Islamic rule, unlike Western rule.

@Puseye2 nice history lesson, but muslims did not burn down the worship places of other religions intentionally; it is against islam to do so. look how many people were saved from the hellfire as a result of these conquests. there is no compulsion in religion they converted at their free will. slavery (prisoners of war) were taken in any battle not just the one muslims fought in. The christian knights slaughtered everyone in 1099, unlike saladin who sparred his enemies lives.

Today, Muslims only make up 1/5 of the total population of India, which refute the fact that people were forced to convert to Islam. Had that been the case, India would be almost exclusively Muslim. Indonesia the largest Muslim country has never been conquered at all. The Quran maintains "There is no compulsion in religion'.

My own family was Hindu of high caste generations ago. They converted because they could n't accept the caste system and opted for Islam. @Puseye2 There is a great documentary on youtube on the Crusades. Also read Warriors of God: Saladin and Richard the Lionheart. I will supply you with the name of the author, but remind me if I forget. It's a tough read, but has quite a bit of info about the 3 crusades. Also watch Occupation 101 about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

If muslims were forced into the religion. I ask why in the US there iss an average of 20,000 converts to Islam? This was NBC reporting this. The number is a lot more now. Why in Latin America countries there are so many people becoming Muslim? You know what I hope you do.
