wow they suck now. he still has the same voice but the material just sucks. they've lost it. he might as well put the guitar down and pick up a damn keyboard cause that shit wasn't rock it was techno/pop. they didn't know what they had. instead of being the biggest band in australia they could have been the one of the biggest grunge bands period, up there with foo fighters, bush, pearl jam, nirvana, etc. but no they had to sellout and start playin gay dance club shit. how retarded is that.

I think it's hilarious how people are so stuck on "Frogstomp", that album came out 16 years ago!!! he was a kid and they were trying to sound like Nirvana and Pearl Jam. he said himself he considers "Neon Ballroom: the first Silverchair record because the first two were so heavily influenced by other bands and by what their record label was asking them to write. as for the new stuff, it;s the most real they've ever been, and I'm super excited to hear this new album that's coming out in 2010!

I personally don't want to dismiss Frogstomp stuff. But I do really admire the way they have moved on. I don't think the sound levels would have done frogstomp songs any justice - because of their new sound now, with anthemic keyboards n stuff, the frogstomp stuff would just not fit in.

I had a really great time at this gig - the new material makes me feel happy.

I saw him at Nottingham, he was a bit drunk but he wasnt up himself at all, even though he wanted to get off he signed my ticket and even allowed my mate to take a photo.

They dont play Frogstomp anymore, because it isnt them anymore, it doesnt apply to them. You can tell he doesnt really wanna do Freak anymore, but i guess thats one song they cant afford to ditch

FACTS: Frogstomp will never be played again, people chant it to wind him up, he has a right to be pissed off cause its all he hears ALL the time. maybe he does come across as "up himself" but hey, hes only just living. so why not ;)

I kinda feel sorry for him and the band that there are still idiots who probably know that they dont play frogstomp anymore, still deem it neccesary to shout. no, it wasn't fucking awesome. I was disappointed. that cunt Daniel is a prick who is so up his own arse. While I understand a band has to move on and they can't just play grunge anymore, I was a bit insulted that he basically took the piss out of the fans of Frogstomp. Does he not remember that it was those fans, like myself in 1995 that payed our money and put them where they USED TO be. I went with high hopes.. but that band was NOT Silverchair. Such a shame.

it was a great show. he was taking the piss out of the people chanting for freak show, not the fans of it, the people chanting it, ruin the shows and its basically an insult to the boys now, so they have every right to retaliate, they must get it every show, and its bound to grind on your nerves after a while. hey, at least he aint axl rose, and doesnt kick ur ass.
