  • wow that is awesome, first time i see that style

  • This dvd series rocks!! One of the best Dvd series I've seen yet on Silat!

  • Remind me of Merantau movie's elevator scene.. thumb's up! :)

  • @MrSolitude14 - Guro Inosanto had many Silat instructors. Pendekar Suwanda was quite influential and is the reason you can see Mande Muda here, but he was not the only one.

  • @all dan inosanto is herman suwanda student in silat, thats why we can see alot of mande muda style here (CMIIW)

  • There is a lot of Mande Muda in the system. Pendekar Herman Suwanda had a lot of influence on Guro Inosanto's approach to Silat.

  • Looks great, mostly looks same as Mande Muda, how much influence is Mande Muda in the stuff shown?

  • The warmups are great, I incorporate them every time I work out. I expected no less from a student of Guro Inosanto, great material, thank you for sharing your knowledge!

  • hey, i want to ask you, where did you learn this silat???

i'm from Silat too, but from different style from yours, i need to learn how to fight a ground fighter :D

well, i don't know, but i think i'd check it at Padepokan TMII

my location is Jakarta, so i dont have any trouble to go there :D

    Salam Perguruan

  • looks like extinctly Cipitik styles from Bogor- west java. Amaze me !

  • Great DVD, just ordered part 2 the other week can't wait to get it! Both Guru Suzanne and Guru John are very knowledgeable and great persons! Can't wait to see you guys soon ! Regards John

  • @JFKALI Thanks for the kind words. Looking forward to your visit John!

  • welldone guys, a great DVD to have. But I'd like to know whether the name of Madjapahit silat is officially the other name of Inosanto silat? is it because many styles are rooted from Indonesia silat?

I am sorry to asking this way cause I am Indonesian, and it is known very well to us that Madjapahit is the name of our greatest Imperium during medieval age based in Java island. It has a teritory in most of South East Asian nation, thus much bigger than Indonesia it self today.

  • @viverepericoloso76 Yes. Guro Inosanto has drawn on many systems in building the Madjapahit Silat. Thanks for your interest!

  • MADJAPAHIT SILAT looks awesome.

  • AWESOME !!!!! COOOOL

  • hello guro suzanne, where can i get this dvd? thanks

  • I love this DVD set. My Sifu is certified under Guro Inosanto and Sigung Fong and he raves about the quality of both the instruction and the production. Thank you for making this information available for people like me who have only been doing Silat for a short while. Having this information available any time I wish to review it makes training at home more interesting and enjoyable.

  • i love her dvd. got a chance to meet guro suzanne at one of the silat seminars and she is so nice. can't wait for her second dvd.

  • Inosanto's Academy is probably one of the best if not THEE best freaking schools of martial arts in the entire united states.

  • Does anybody knows what is the music she is using in her dvds please? Thanks

  • I know I shouldn't say this but she is beautiful. Mind you, Graciella Casillas is still more beautiful

  • Her sarong looks brutal.

  • A great example of the quality of Guro Dan's students. OUTSTANDING

  • some of the madjapahit silat moves looks like brazilian capoeira

  • I was thinking the same thing

  • indonesia dangerously beautiful

    love pencak silat very much

  • great!

  • Still one of the best Pencak Silat video's on the market....

  • so you recommend it even for beginners?

  • Yes. The DVDs are broken down for all level practitioners.

  • cool man...style

  • Awesome DVD!

So much content on this DVD. Great if you have some martial art experience especially silat.

Clear, precise instructions of each technique.

Good amount of variations from warm up exercises, to evades, take downs, and stand up.

Guru Suzanne Luna Spezzano makes each move look easy.

    Great camera work.

    Excellent soundtrack.

Great to see people get credit for their hard work.

  • Suzannes' movement is like silk. This dvd is a must have for any silat practitioner. Even after practicing Pencak for some time, this video has many virtues that add to martial vocabulary. Guru Inosantos' statement was right on regarding Guru Spezzano! Well Done.

  • Salams Guru Spezzano.

Your dvds on Madjapahit Silat look amazing how can I order these, to augment my Cimande Training.

Its so seldom one see's good Silat anymore thanks for bringing this to us all.

  • I'd also like to know how to get these dvd's - great intro demo.

  • Beautiful.

  • Wow. She looked very slick.

  • mashaALLAH.respect,great move Guru Suzanne.

  • Bought the video and was really pleased. Hope to see a continuation of the series. It really filled a need for us.

    Thanks, and all the best.

  • Any martial artist, experienced or novice can benefit from Guro Suzanne's video on Silat. She has professionally laid out this highly complex system and delivered a very clear and learnable format. If your into any of the SouthEast Asian arts you will stand to learn a great deal. I give this video an A++ on this video.

  • Salam Guru Spezzano,

Your Silat movement is very good - I commend you on your efforts to spread the art of Pencak Silat.

    Hormat,

    Nicholas

  • Guru Suzanne is an amazing teacher. One of the best instructors at the Inosanto Academy. Get the DVD folks!

    -Christian

  • Hey Suzanne. It's Jason Lancucki from Toronto,CAN. We met through Kevan MacKenzie when you were in town a few years back...you came over to play for the afternoon. Good to see you doing well! Looks like you did an outstanding job.

I look forward to viewing it.

    -Jason

  • Guro Suzzane is a great instructor. I took a class that she was in during Legends 2006 at the Inosanto Academy. I am from San Diego and didn't know anyone there. She and John were very nice to me...someone who is normally shy and doesn't speak much. Thank you for your kindness and good luck on the videos! Respect.

  • Don't miss this DVD!!!!

  • Guru Suzanne, you are awesome!!! I remember you from elementary school -- who knew you'd turn out so AWESOME! I'm so proud of you!!

  • Wow, looks great! Definitely looks like a must buy DVD.

  • nice...is there any website of this style?

  • I'm not aware of one, but it may exist.

    Guru Suzanne

  • can i get one on one lessons?

  • Sitbatan,

Thanks for your interest, right now my schedule doesn't allow for private instruction, this was the catalyst for making the DVD. If you get a chance, come to the Inosanto Academy Tues/Thurs nights at 7PM for the Madjapaphit Class with Guro Dan, you'll love it.

    Thanks again for your interest,

    Guru Suzanne

  • Great to see that Suzzane I ran into you at Miami airport with John.
