  • looks like the bear is passed out from sheer pleasure!

  • I'd contend that this man plays a great deal better than Clapton ever did.

  • great sound. It slightly reminds me sound of my Gibson LP Standard '92

  • You are great! Do you recomend buying the guitar(not fender but Squier)? I`m kind of a beginner

  • you shot the sheriff

  • very nice !

  • the backing track is I SHOT THE SHERRIF !!! COOL

  • Telecasters have such a pure sound for anything.

  • what beautifull music..................save eric

  • hey can someone help me?, i love to use my neck pick up but when i play over drums the HUM gets very loud and if i use a Noise supresor i get no sustain

  • You are a hell of a classic man - great guitar bends by the way :)

  • This backing track is of "I shot the sheriff" of Eric Clapton...

  • backing track- bob marley i shot you sheriff ,right?

  • beautiful tone man really wicked playing. I love tele's

  • Greg, I have the Lollar Charlie Christian and the Lollar BS Bridge in my Tele...Ever tried them? The Bridge is the best I've ever heard and the Neck Pup is so beautiful...Man you outta ruff out a Good Tele with these Lollars and enjoy the Tone...I do...Doc

  • Sweet!

  • nice playing, beautifull tone!

  • Sorry that I'm not focussing, what type of guitar is the one you see in the back please?

  • where do you get your backing tracks?

  • @TheRealErob The backing tracks are collected from the web during a long time. Sorry I don't know anymore from wich site this came from. When I find a nice track I'll store it on my computer and don't make a list with wich track came from wich site... Too many tracks (I would not even find this one on my computer, I just click them random when I record) too many sites. Seach for "Blues backing tracks" or "jam tracks" and you will find a lot

  • @TheRealErob

Forget the backing tracks, where do you get all your guitars?

  • @TheRealErob from the cd rack behind him :)

  • @TheRealErob this is eric claptons version of i shot the sheriff. original by bob marley.

check out guitarbackingtrack[DOT]com there are so many great backing tracks there

  • Hey Greg thanks for your videos. One question, I already own a cheap thinline tele copy and I want to change the PUs, are the texas special the best option or do you think there are a better choice? cheers from Spain.

  • very nice one but i choose the thinline telecaster of 69 in the other video , but very nice videos and guitars men keep on : )

  • really nice tone! Recently, I bought myself some Barfuss pickups!

I saw it's what they call a 'partscaster..'

where did you get that neck, or where can I find them?!

It's nog that easy to buy a decent one, I found out.

  • hey greg

your videos are amazing I like them but I can't say to much about guitar because I am a bassist :-)

Can you recommend the barfuss pickups to me? Because I'm just thinking about new handwounded pickups

    Greetings

    Philipp

  • @JazzBluesFunk thanks, yes, I love these Pickups

  • @GregsGuitars Danke für die Info. Hab gerade bemerkt, dass du ja auch aus Deutschland kommst :-)

    Gruß

    Philipp

  • Do you have a CD? Direct me and I'll get it.

  • What guitar is in the back? Thank you!

  • Greg...sell guitars and amps...but don't ever sell the Teddy Bear!

As usual your tone and expression are perfect.

  • you are one soulfull player greg.. amazing

  • sorry to ask but how can you afford all these amazing guitars

some are like £2000 a pop!

  • I buy and sell

  • which to you prefer greg

    gibson or fender

    lp or strat

    sg or tele

  • I love them all....

  • Awesome job!

I was thinking "This sounds a lot like when Clapton solo'd over the "I shot the sheriff" rhythm during the 2004 Crossroads Concert.

...then you played the lick 0:49 and I thought "Oh...nevermind". :D

  • After watching your videos i'm convinced that David Barfuss possibly makes the best pickups out there, in this whole jungle of boutique pickups. Looked at his website and he is also reasonably priced. Super stuff..Cheers !!!

  • Convinced... Yeah.... So you are.... Well, with every video that Gregor makes, I get more and more convinced that it's not the gear that makes him sound like that. It's him. Give him a vacuum cleaner with strings on and he'll make it sound like a custom shop 335. I'm not so easily a fan of anyone, but I think that Greg caught me... Wie immer: very inspiring.

  • I can't find where to by Barfuss Pickups

  • just send me a mail

  • i shot the sherrif

    eric clapton record, right?

  • yep

  • Great tones!

After hearing this clip,no one can tell apart this Tele from a CS Telecaster.

  • anyone here know how to record a condenser mic on a mac?

  • OH MY GOD MAN!!!

You left on tears right after that swell at 0:22 .

Please, please do not EVER stop making these videos, they are an inspiration to a lot of people.

I wish you the most sucess on your career.

    KEEP ROCKIN' ON Daniel

  • Awesome! :-)

  • pentatonic liks very good !

  • Yeah, you shot the sheriff good!

  • that squier thinline has a shortscale neck, does a standard fender scale neck fit without moving the bridge?

  • no this body was made for regular scale

  • actually the Squier Thinline does have a Shortscale neck from the factory

  • OK, I thought it is a Squier Body because of the color - maybe I'm wron g and this is something different. I assembled this guitar from my spare parts. Thanks for letting me know

  • Yeah the Squier's the only thinline I know of in that color. Maybe the squiers shortscale, is a conversion neck, where the body can accept either

  • For some reason whenever I hear you play, I always get hungry and find something to eat.

  • You made me like that song again - GREAT job.

  • i shot the sheriff!

  • Great man!!!!
