The interface looks like GTA/GTA2, but it seems one detail is missing: in GTA, when you accelerate, the screen is no longer centered in your car, but slightly ahead of it, which helps a lot when guiding the car at high speeds. It may seem like a minor interface issue, but this was missing from the top-view in GTA 3 and rendered this view mostly useless.

This game, is, is, amazing. I've played all the Classic Grand Theft Autos and it does not compare to this. Rockstar Games never made people interact after getting shot, or shot at. Ex. Screaming as they die or screaming as they are trying to run away. Well done.

^^ The Beta only has a few side missions. In Weston there are some rampages available and if you hop inside a Taxi you can do fares.

ATM, I'm trying to fix all the reported bugs in the engine. Patch is coming next week.

God this is just amazing. GTA 2 is probably one of my favourite games of all time and I really can't wait to play this game. It's hard to believe this is all made in Game Maker (I know it's not a lie, it's just that impressive) it'll probably be the best Game Maker game ever made.

It's almost a shame this game will be freeware, it just looks too good to not be sold on the shelves or something like WiiWare, XNA etc.

I'm really looking forward to it and I don't mind any delays.
