Steam is kinda strange, call of pripyat costs 30$ but with another stalker game it only costs 20$ and clear sky costs 10$ :)

Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat are considered expansions to the first game, even though they could be called full games.

clear sky is a stand alone expansion/prologue which means it does not require you to own shadow of chernoybl

And yes HL2 has the same thing - fighting music and such....

Without the music your so-called climat would be extremley boring and annoing.

how many problems did the game have for you when you played it on your 7800GT, cause I played mine on an NVidia Gforce 6600 and it was terrible

it did, but here's the thing: Even if you choose to play it on the lowest setting with Nvidia Gforce 6600, it will lag and sometimes the game will even freeze. I got a new computer with ATI Radeon 4350 which is almost like Gforce 9600 I think and it worked awesome. To play the game with perfection on max settings and no lags, it's best to play it on ATI 4350 or any Gforce 9 series (9100-9800)

it would run great.. i have a p4 oc'ed at 3.5GHz, 3 gigs of ddr2 ram at 667 MHz, 9600gt and it runs great with everything on max, enchanted dynamic lighting (DX9) at 1280x1024 and im runing vista home premium... you shouldnt even worry it wont work at max with those pc specs dude

Man I can't wait till I get this game ;P Watching gamepaly videos just makes me wanna buy it more and more.. But I think it'll be best for me, if I wait till most of the major bugs are fixed.

But I loved S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC, which I bought 2 weeks before S:CS launch :) Great game, and hopefully, I'll be bale to say games very soon!

My fiance is out picking this game up for me right now, I loved the first one, and this looks to be even better. I hope it's just as long or longer, cause it's so much fun for me, I never want it to end. Replayability is a quality of the first one tho, so I'm sure CS will be the same...I'm literally minutes away from installing and playing...watching these video's is driving me nuts!

The action/combat music is still there, but apparently you can turn it off.

I hope its not going to be too easy combat-wise like that last one. One you got the hang of YOUR MOUSE a headshot was usually second nature while playing the game :/ Apart from that, I really enjoyed it.

I hope they make it so that explosives (like the RPG munitions) can rip people and creatures apart. Or at least some damage textures would be nice. That would be more realist and make for less of a "game" feel to the combat.

It's not worth it to install Vista just to get DX10. Besides, the difference between DX10 and DX9 is marginal in this game.
