If you look at the shifter, it clearlt shows a launch in first gear and then two additional shifts. The setup is using a shiftnoid so the car is in 100 percent unison with the shiftpoint/peak performance of powerband.
So what I'm wondering is... why 2 shifts on the powerglide? It makes no sense to me. I can't imagine anyone wanting to run anything other than an auto in 10.5 classes just do to the fact the a stick car would be really hard to get off the starting line consistantly
He is using a superglide ati, powerglide transmission, and he didn't have to shift because he is using a silinoid, shiftnoid set up thats shifts for you, when you hook it up to any rpm activated switch, for instance a shift light on a tach
so whats wrong with an auto....guessing u dont watch much IHRA hell most guys run a glide....Lynch does now too some run a liberty 5 speed and some still run a Lenco or a jerico ..I run some NHRA events in the south and north but prefer IHRA bigger cubes n faster times haha Not one car you watch on ESPN NHRA has bigger than 500 cubes shit lynch runs 600+ cubes
You'd wanna have both hands on the wheel in that rocketship, too!!! I could care less how the shifting gets done. I want to know how the suspension is tuned to get that thing down the track!
