im native spanish speak from the african country of equatorial guinea, i think that if u wanna speak spanish and u gotta get a good accent try get argentine accent most pple love it and its the easiest to get, my country sounds almost like spain due that we got independence from them on 1968!!! yeah i encourage u to learn spanish the same as an english speaker encouraged me to learn english, and im working on my american accent wich is a lil hard to get,

About his accent, You must know that although he speaks Spanish his NATIVE language is CATALAN, which has a much wider set of sounds than Spanish. So it was easier for him to completely grasp English and in particular American English. I also can tell you that he also has a slight Catalan accent when he speaks Spanish.
