  • I pity conductors at times. Often times, whatever they try to communicate to the performers is misunderstood or ignored, even from the practice sessions. Balance needed between instruments and voice. Brass sounds stabby, timpani is almost full-on, little more the I would think the rite of spring. Slide instrument pitching? Musician can't hear what they play? Well if you could see the facial expressions, more insight. Good try anyway, if we don't try, we can't shape the layout.

  • If it wasn't the bad video software that shifts the pitch while being worked on a weak processor during the recording. I attribute the tonal quality to forcing for volume to compete with the instruments. Maybe more singers would help. Besides with all that blasting, don't think you can hear yourself sing very well. Singers need to have a decent amount of separation from the other instruments, not surrounded by various types of instruments playing different parts and rhythms. But it's a church.

  • Good God!! What were you all thinking? Did you not practice at all?

  • piedadddddddddddddd

  • i think the timpanist has it his own way...

  • Bad Carmera + Baldly out of Tune!! Who Agrees?

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this piece is too pretty to screw up like this. my high school choir can do better than this. i mean really, you can't go flat on the third note and decide to change keys in the middle of the song.

  • omg, what the heck happened in there? ew

  • I have sung under the direction of John Rutter. While I admire the attempt, if Mr. Rutter had heard this, he would have forbidden you to perform it. Up until 1:50 it was completely hideous. Nice Soprano solo.

  • I wouldn't even go so far to say that the soprano solo was good. She was straining at the high notes and went sharp several times.

  • This is hideous

  • very nice music but bad quality

  • also did this songin my schoolchore,, again the highest female voices, and believe me, this one was quite difficult! but soooo much fun:D XD

  • i just got back from working with john rutter we sang in carnegie hall it was a great experience and the sound we made was amazing i loved it i loved NYC

  • ditto on all the other responses! ugh!

  • One tenor ruins it alllllll

  • et filio is off key

  • i agree but it is the whole patri et filio it shifts off key and then comes back on the gloria

  • aweful

  • i love this piece but the quality is bad.

  • the quality of the video and the sound ruin everything, I cant't even hear if this is a good performance.
