I wonder who else would agree with this one, So Sentinel kills Ironhide with a rust gun and it dawns on me, Sentinel has a rust gun, and yet the Autobots loose the war. I'm not ashamed to admit, from this scene through the destruction of the Autobot ship, I was outright crying in the theater. I remember how hearing the original Arrival to Earth theme made me so excited and so hopeful in the first movie--and then hearing this version in such a sad scene? Made it even sadder! Steve Jablonsky is a true musical genius, and DOTM was a great ending of the trilogy. So much emotion!

I love how in the first film, this was such a beautiful track - it introduced The Autobots to Earth, and as it played, there was excitement, and happiness as one of the best things in the movie happened. Now the exact same track that was used for the arrival of The Autobots is redone to sound terribly sad and depressing as one of the saddest things in this movie happens, and gives EXACTLY the opposite feel that Arrival to Earth did in Transformers 1 - Absolute Jablonsky genius this track...

Is it possible to feel as connected as I do to mere sentient robots? This is a film about large robots and yet the theme delivered by Jablonsky, positions the characters in such an Academy worthy and humanistic portrayal.

The theme is filled with such sentiment and passion...such emotion! The violin creeping to the forefront tips this scale a thousand times over. It pulls you along a journey; one you never wish comes to an end. Sadly, at 3:36 it does. But don't fret, skip back to 0:00.
