  • As much as I like Cloud, the Warrior of Light is the actual face of the Franchise just Glad Dissidia lets us revisit these old times before it went Sci-Fi and crappy

  • Please, Square Enix! Remake the first Final Fantasy in full 3D! And no, 4 Warriors of Light did not count!

  • If i wanted to play this what would be the best system for it? PS1?

  • @omarct If you don't mind a bit of load times, you might want the PS1 version, otherwise the Gameboy Advance version "Dawn of Souls" is the way to go. Chances are, the Gameboy Advance version is best. Happy Gaming!

  • @StoneMonkWisdom

There's really no load times in the PS1 version. 2 seconds at most of something but that's it.

    GBA version is still better

  • @themangodess I suppose that's true, I must have been thinking of Chrono Trigger in the Final Fantasy Chronicles for Playstation, which definitely has some serious load times compared to the original game on SNES.

  • @omarct PSP version is pretty good.

  • @omarct PSP version

  • Darnit, where are the OTHER warriorS of light? This opening ignores them, dissidia ignores them, it's like they never existed.

  • @HyperMushrambo Dissidia ignores them because Dissidia is a prequel to FF1.

  • @ThePirishman ... What does that have to do about the lack of there being four? There are four that appear together at the beginning of FF1. And that doesn't excuse the actual opening of FF1 excluding them.

  • @HyperMushrambo I agree with you up to that point. But in DISSIDIA.... the Warrior of Light has yet to meet them. If you beat Duodecim you will understand.

  • @ThePirishman Yes I do understand that. I'd just think it would at least mention the other three.

  • @HyperMushrambo Indeed. I would love to see the Red Wizard owning in the intro.

  • @andoc Same here! I'd also like to see the Monk fight.

  • @genius476 lol i kept that in mind 2

its strange that they have a big difference

  • WOL: dont you know who i am you botti dragon

  • this is just something the Warrior did before he met up with the others. He's a badass and this just him doing something badass. He's my favorite character in Dissidia. I think he might be the most badass guy in the Final Fantasy series. Just a warrior with a name lost to the ages, going around kicking ass. He probably could have soloed all the later villains.

  • They should REALLY put that song that played in this video on Dissidia 012.

And I pity the guy who thinks just becuase a character has long hair, they automatically look like a female, that's like saying Sephiroth from FF7, Magus from Chrono Trigger, or Even Ghaleon from Lunar look like Females yet you can clearly see the masculin body and the male face.

  • llol bahamut @ 1:!4 "Is this nigga serious!?"

  • do you have all the cutscenes?

  • @XcXtrippyXcX It really didn't have anything to do with anything, as the was no character in the pplayable characters in the first game. I think they just had to make somthing up.

  • The artwork is from the original artist, and is infact much, much more manly then certain other protagonists.

This is just a random fight againest a dragon.

  • @StoneMonkWisdom Kinda of, at this point i don't know if Squall or Cloud could ever look more androgynous than this guy, at least thet have shorter hair.

This is just too close, it's like raiden from MGS2.

This is a general problem with anime as a whole, they need to learn the differences between females and males, males normally don't have noses that small and have larger chins, along with a larger torso, without those kinds of traits you're just drawing a girl on testosterone.

  • I'm sorry, but I really don't see it,. The Warrior of Light design featured here looks very manly. Compare and contrast Vaan from FF12.

  • does anybody know the game where you are the Daemon and you switch from him to a human and you play both of them in the game. Later in the game they cross paths and they fight together... but i think that they fight against each other at first? lol can anyone help me out?

  • @cdawg3033 Sorry, I can't help you... however something that came to my mind was an old school game called: Illusion of Gaia, where you have an alter ego you turn into to not only become a bit stronger but help solve certain puzzles in some environments. Otherwise, I have no idea myself.

  • @cdawg3033 Did you ever get an answer to this and if so what was it?

Sounds remotely like Cecil in FF4 or ... Magus in Chrono Trigger...

Illusion of Gaia isn't a horrible choice either. There are 3 forms in that game though, there's the young Will, the hardcore Knight dude and then near the end(?) of the game you get the special powered Will. That dude that's like made of energy.

What era are you pulling this from? Could be...Breath of Fire, you fight your dragon form I think.

  • @cdawg3033 u must be talking about arc the lad : twilight of the spirits

  • @cdawg3033 Arc The Lad: Twilight of spirits

  • Had the same intro in the PSP version also. Does the version on the Apple App store have this intro? I know Square ported this over to the iPod Touch/iPhone and I am just wondering.

  • can you watch the rest of the cutscenes anywhere or is that the only one? I dont remember...

  • @CrossxAngel That's a good question... There might be a couple more cutscenes but I certainly don't recall where you see them...

  • @CrossxAngel

there is only the intro and the ending which is very long as usual haha

  • Warrior Of Light Looks better in Dissidia

  • Wow. This is the DS remake? I didn't know the system could handle this level of quality.

  • @Crodic This is the Playstation / PSone version. This game was also remade for Game Boy Advance, use wikipedia once in awhile.

  • @StoneMonkWisdom I'm aware. My real query was how the DS system handled the updated graphics.

  • ... I think I own this game. The intro looks so familiar.

  • The FMVs for all the FF games always give me goosebumps! I love it!

  • so this is how ff crystal chronicles eoc came along. hey where can i get this game. or play it online

  • Yuffie and Cloud are from Final Fantasy VII originally released in I think, 1997 on the playstation (PS1). Leon is from... Final Fantasy 8 but may go by a different name in FF8 if I'm not mistaken.

  • @StoneMonkWisdom Leon goes by Squall in Final Fantasy VIII; his full name is Squall Leonheart.

  • @StoneMonkWisdom Squall.

  • @StoneMonkWisdom Squall Leonheart. FF8. Also the only game to feature a fatguy throwing an anchor...heh.

  • @StoneMonkWisdom Yeah, his original name is Squall Leonheart

  • @StoneMonkWisdom His name was Squall

  • i never played FF games, i only know them from Kingdom Hearts

witch ones are the ones with Cloud and Lion and Yuffie?

  • love how after the awesome intro you play as a little blue square

  • el viudeo es bueno pero el juego no

  • warrior of light FTW!

  • awesome. can you put the rest of the fmv's from this game on?

  • As of now, I don't intend to, I'm sure a playthrough somewhere on youtube exists and includes the scenes full motion video cutscenes, this is assuming there are more. I know that Crhono Trigger for instance actually does have a few fvm sequences throughout the game, but I'm unsure of Final Fatasy on playstation, I have never played through the games, ...yet.

  • yea i think this is the only fmv for final fantasy i beat it on psp
