  • damn it those people draw the girraffe better than i do.

  • Ohh like this, I actually did a painting of lady gaga on a rock on my channel x

  • Looks like prehistoric anime.

  • how do the images stand the test of time so well? ...weathering etc?

  • Our ancestors didn't have problems with freedom of expression. They simply marked on rocks exactly what they saw to the best of their ability.

  • AWESOME video!!!!....Thank You!!!

  • Nicee =)

  • Beautiful!

  • very nice!

  • It's Picasso like 3000 years ago

  • @jmm1233 more like a few hundred thousand years ago.

  • Gotta love the ancestors.

  • the bradshaw foundation has a great interactive video about the journey of mankind......just add /journey to their website.........cool stuff

  • Grüße aus der Oberlausitz!

  • So beautiful, it makes one feel connected with ancient times.

  • The music is very fitting to the art being shown considering its context.

  • sorry, who knows where is located the drawing at 2.14? many many thanks!

  • There's no South African rock art here! Its arguably the most beautiful in the world.

  • We have a Bradshaw Foundation film all about the San rock art of south africa. Look on our profile, or the Bradshaw Foundation website.

  • What the Hell is THAT suppose to mean?!

  • Good video but i would like see the names of the places come up on screen so i could learn where they where.

  • The Bradshaw Foundation website details the locations of rock art from all over the world and includes far more than the samples shown in this film.

  • Amazing and inspiring. Better than much of our contemporary art. Who paints anything today that speak to people in 20 millennias?

  • Beautiful drawings and paintings. Great tour around the world of ancient art on stone.

  • Molto interessante il video,

io mi interesso di Archeologia Sperimentale, ho studiato un femore di Orso forato oltre 50.000 fa da un Nenderthal, un dei più antichi strumenti musicali.

    Very interesting video,

I am interested in Experimental Archaeology, I studied a femur of Bear drilled more than 50,000 from a Nenderthal ago, one of the oldest musical instruments.

  • 3,000 years ago mammoths roamed the evergreen siberian prairies, lions ruled over the northwest Sahara.

Time for you to break out of the evolution lies - google:

    MattMarriott good astronomy

  • Hey Truth666 . . . "3,000 years ago mammoths roamed the evergreen siberian prairies"

Just keep reading your bible idiot. Without science you wouldnt be able to write stupid comments like that one.

  • This is a great clip. However, would have been nice if there had been captions. Lots of kids visit here. Kids with short attention spans who may not be inclined to do lengthy research. Captions could help enlighten them quickly (albeit on a small scale). In any case, thank you for the beautiful pictures.

  • The captions as well as lots more information, including full length iLecture films, animated genetic maps, and galleries of the world's oldest art can be found on the Bradshaw Foundation website. Well worth a look if you are interested in these subjects.

  • extraordinary-should love to know the places and sources, some of which are within us

  • If you would like to know more about the world's oldest art and cave paintings visit the Bradshaw Foundation website, the iLectures section has documentary films on these subjects, and there are sections on rock art from all around the world.

  • Thanks so much for alerting me your website.

I both practice and teach architecture and landscape gardening at the Cooper Union in NYC.

Garden history begins with the Edens you have collected, the first evidence of the earth being closely observed in s process that cannot be overstepped.

The deep past is the eternal present.

    Thanks for your kind alert.
