  • I personally love this version. Thanks so much for uploading!

  • The original Touch stands, this one's falls.

  • the 2007 remix of the original beats this becuase of the rap, tottaly ruined it D:

  • Stan Still has the voice!.

  • ruined by the rapping.

  • it say REVENGE OF THE FALLEN on the title but theirs more clips from the 07 movie

  • the origional version was much better

  • this is cool

  • THE ONLY REASON STAN BUSH DID THIS IS SO HE COULD ADD THE ORIGINAL "TOUCH", AND "DARE" INTO THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • THEY BASTARDISED THAT SONG IM GONNA FUCK MICHEAL BAY UP SOO BAD

  • @jackgiggal er... stan bush wrote this... that is stan bush... the original singer of The Touch.... an i wish you luck with beating michael bay up, i'm sure his bodyguards will be very amused with your attempt.

  • @flareyphoenix not to mention he will too busy counting his mutli millions lol

  • @jackgiggal I love how you're blaming someone that had nothing to do with this whatsoever XD

  • Stan tdid this cover to get in on the official movie score. This is why it sounds like whiney Linkin Park drivel.

  • You got the touch! You got the power!

Hell yes, I love Shia <3 omnomnom.

  • rapping sucks

  • @80retrodude

Rap sucks in general. Honestly, almost every other word in a rap song these days is shit, fuck, etc.

  • This isn't my favorite rendition of The Touch at all but it's alright. As long as it's Stan Bush, it's good.

  • the truth is. rap was meant for black people. the only exception is eminem. lets keep it that way.

  • There's a version without the rap, but it won't let me link it. Just search for -- The Touch 2 : Sam's Theme Comic Con 2010 Edition

  • So linkin-parkish. And that's not a compliment.

  • @CyclopsPL Yup, trying to get trendy so they'd use it.

  • @CyclopsPL whats wrong with linkin park? but i agree that the rap is terrible in this song

  • i hate the rap part but i love how stan is all like alright get out of here bitch at 0:54

  • I can't wait for Marky Mark to do this version!

  • No rapping needed, apart from that. it would have been OK

  • why so downer

  • This song is amazing. It would be even better without the shitty rap though

  • wtf is this shit?!

  • @meshowz ur mom

  • @meshowz

You are shit! Don't ever talk shit to the STAN BUSH who can practically walk on water while singing.

  • It was okay till the rap, then it just became terrible.

  • I prefer the original from the cartoon movie.

  • i was actually the slower pace of this version until the rap started....WTH?

  • Good song this would better without the rap sections.

  • Original is better.

  • @kinghorus not better......way way better!!!

  • an attempt at sounding like linkin park at a time when linkin park has changed by a lot. not bad, though.

  • 3:04-3:07 You can see Stan Bush's soul being pulled out by Time Warner...really sad.

Poor bastard, and FUCK Stinkin Park! Stan looks younger than some of those corporate drones!

  • This version wouldn't be so bad, if those rap parts weren't there srsly, WHY?!

  • The movie: would have been amazing if it wasn't for the side "love story" they tried putting in.

The rapper in this song: is a nobody, his lyrics sound like a 10 year old going "HEY! that rhymes!" Death of a great song and Tv show I grew up with ='(.. (still going to watch the 3rd though)

  • I actually don't mind the slightl depressing undertone... And Stan Bush is still awesome.. . It's just the rapper is so terrible. Seriously: at what point did one of the sound producers say "HEY! This guy sounds BRILLIANT!". Whoever it was deserves to get fired.

  • stupid rappers this is stan's song not a stupid rap song

  • Way to kill off a piece of my childhood.

  • It's Linkin Park Light.

  • Long-live Stan Bush.

  • when i heard the rappers it was ruined the other bits good but the rappers suck

  • This new mix seems to match the recent movie pretty well, but that's like saying that the smell of garbage and human refuse compliment each other.

Maybe I just like G1 too much.

  • The rap isn't what bothered me. What bothered me was being forced to watch scenes from that horrible abortion of a film!

  • @TheSgtSloth

To be honest the first movie was not that bad, neither was ROTF.

  • This would have been epic if it wasn't for that jackass rapping.

  • im can´t se the orginal music video from 1986 fuck you sony

  • Stan Bush still kicks ass, the rap segments cant defeat him

  • I like the original "The Touch" by Stan bush from the 1987 Transformers Movie alot better.

  • What the fuck????

    Rap???

    RAP IS NOT TRANSFORMERS!!!!

    Stan Bush is still awsome.

  • Pretty awesome...I didn't even see this till now! Good stuff, Stan! Love it!

  • The rapper sucks. Other than that, while it doesn't have the power of the '80s version of the song, it's alright. Fits the new movies to a tee, that's for sure.

  • It's a shame this didn't make it into the movie.... I would've loved to had seen a "Light our Darkest Hour" moment. Would have made the movie much better.

  • That rap is shitty

  • it isn't better than the original but this version isn't bad by any means either. I don't really care for the rap part of the song but it does bring something different to the table, reminds me a little of linkin park but mike's rapping is a lot better lol. Either way the song kind of grew on me and i have both versions on my ipod so what I'm getting at is give it a chance...

  • nice version, but it will NEVER beat your original! Every time you hear it all you can see is that beautiful red transport truck with its magic trailer mowing down Deceptions... "happy sigh"

  • Stan Bush's voice is still killer after all these years. I'll bet if Linkin Park covered this, it would have made it into the movie and would have been a hit. The rap verses has Mike Shinoda written all over it.

The background montage looks really cool too.

  • I'm sorry but the fat david schwimmer kinda ruins the video for me.

Not half as good as the original but so is everything else. Still a pretty good song.

  • Kewl!

  • rappity rap rappity rap

  • Can't top the original, but it's still good to see Stan Bush doing his thing.

  • wow very nice ...

  • Transformers: Return of The Primes

  • Good interpretation of his original song. The original from the '86 animated movie is still better, though, imho.

  • This new version is decent but I just wanna bitch slap this idiot every time he starts rapping. It seriously ruins the song every time this fool opens his mouth.

  • @venom160 you got that sooooooooooooooooooo right. About that wanna be rapper.

  • Original wins. Hands down.

  • I dodn't care what this is, Its Stan period, I grew up with his music I wish the guy the best of lucks on whatever genere he atempts.

  • To all those who gave Stan Bush a thumbs down: You suck. That is all.

  • u know at first i hated this song but after listenin 2 it a few times its startin 2 grow on me

  • @roderickpass same here

  • I can't tell if this is the worst or best thing I've ever seen.

  • where did i can download this song?

  • @diegolin467 itunes. Click the annotation at the beginning of the video. :)

  • The rap kills the song... If it wasnt for the rap this song would be solid

  • not as good as the original but still good

  • i perfer the original, but this one is okay, it could have been much better.

  • this really has grown on me. I'm still not sure about the rap, but the chorus makes up for it.

  • poor song was ruined by new age music..... DAMN U MICHAL BAY!!!!!!

  • hey everyone .this version is cool but i like the original one bettter i seen this one at jacon 2009 when stan played for the guest and everyone that came ot that con it was great to see him preform the song and dare it was a great time.

  • this version may not be as good as the original but its in its own league for people who havn't heard the old one and heard this one first

  • Awsome TRANSFORMERS Video

    LOL 5 Star's***** ^.^

  • I like the original version, it has a lot more beat and feeling to it.

  • i like this version. its pretty good. it dont beat the original but i like it

  • I like the Old One... I dunno

  • I think this could have been a lot worse; for that matter, I am glad to see this song have another chance at life.

For whatever it's worth, I think it could have been better without the rap segments. They just do not mesh well with Mr. Bush's voice.

As for the new instrument backing, I believe it should not have used grunge and nu-metal thematic(s). The overall theme is a tad dark compared to the original's optimistic leitmotif.

  • greatest song in the history of music

    if u dont like it ur a HATER & i got 2 words 4 u...F*CK OFF B*TCHES...

  • that's 3 word's ........ this sucks

  • See comic book films can b modernised more easily bcos they modernise themselves anyway. But something like this should do what Watchmen did and set thier story at the time of the source material.

  • i agree

  • I concur with all the comments. It is a little dishearting that Michael Bay is trying to modernize transformers to the modern day pop culture.. I wish he would just stick with the original G1 concept. I love the originals they were a part of my childhood. I think I speak for everyone here that has grown up in the 80s.

  • @Dead2ritz78 Most filmmakers r retards when it comes to this very simple concept. At 1 point no1 was a Transformers (or whatever) fan, so what did the Transformers have that got it fans. Whatever it was if u replicate it then u would get new fans, therefore the more accurate the better. U have 2 make certain concessions as this is a film instead of a tv format, but essentially if u make a movie with likeable robots that the audiance can carw about then u will win

  • like michal bay

Michal:Hey the theme is too simple lets add a bunch of explosion bad storyline and a lot sex jokes and lets turn wheelie into a pervert.

  • @BlackAce1229, I liked Revenge of the Fallen but your right. They could have done without the sex jokes. There were kids in the theater. I know that they're learning sex ed in grade 2 these days but they could have had funny jokes that were not sex oriented. Also I don't think that the script wasn't as good as the first movie. I heard it was because of the writers strike.

  • what concept the concept of the transforming robot because he obviously covered that one

and i happen to like this new version (rap bits n all) although the old one was better

  • well...i had to listen to it a couple times, but now i actually like it....nothing can take the memory of when i first heard the original back in 86, but this is not bad

  • this isn't bad, the G1 version is better by far but its not bad, I'm glad that Stan Bush did it so you know theirs love in the song for the old one.

  • this is bad, its not better the the G1 version but its not a bad remake ether. i'm happy with it and will probably download it. i like the Stan Bush was back sing in it.

  • o__o they have not done bad but they have still btchered a great franchies......i mean if they had remained true to teh original gen 1 designs it might have been better but they had to go and change it all so it r uinedi t for me....but prime kicks ass no matter what form you put him in....this song wasnt bad though i wish i could find it somewhere online to have

  • Bre2nan hit the nail right on the head.

  • i see nothing wrong with it.really people?cant u grow up and shut up?its just a song.go after someone else for once.

  • Look what you've turned The Great Stan Bush into. Pray for you salvation hethans

  • I love the original version of this song, this too is good just take out the lame rap.

  • I agree.

  • wow, what a perfect analogy for the Bayformers. I mean, just compare this to the original and you have the difference between the original Transformers and the new ones. There's the awesome classic original and there's this version, neutered of all that made the original awesome and frontloaded with all sorts of "hardcore" pop-culture bullshit.

  • @Bre2nan I was going to comment, but you said exactly what I was thinking (and Gantzer1 said my first reaction watching Bay's movie!). I've never heard this version until now (I actually really liked the remake Stan did), and I have to say, it's very bad indeed. Glad I never sat through Bayformers 2 after the first disaster and now this.

  • @Bre2nan correct me if I'm wrong but the original was full of 80s pop-culture bullshit too?

  • god i hate new transformers it is so fucking lame, wanna be try hard garbage pumped out by the michael bay american flag waving horse shite factory.

  • If they only used the original version of the Touch in ROTF the fight scene with Prime kicking the Fallen & Megatron, believe me, no matter how geeky it will sound, I think it would rock the hell out of us TF fans!

  • originals better by far

i'm just not getting pumped by this one

no power, no feeling, no nothin'

  • who ever thought this was a good idea was totally wrong

do people really like this song the most of the animated movie ? i never understood why....Instruments of destruction was way better i thought....

  • what the fuck have they done ?

  • this one is good just remove the rapping

  • Murder was the case.. this remixed version is for gays with attitude

  • its more rock like than the 2007

  • They have totally murdered the song ~_~

    This was terrible.

I dont mind re-inventing a song for a new generation but fuck me atleast get it right.

This felt so... emo. Wheres the power? Wheres the inspiration? Wheres the exilhiration? That was in the original in 86.

I actually feel like my childhood memories have been raped as I watch this. ~_~

  • lol if your child memories raped so easily then it looks like they are not so good memories after all

  • I wanna know something... when did it stop being cool to be... I dunno... cool? <_< I was a dork, now I can beat up most college kids. What the hell? And I'm still the same RPG EverCrack addict I was back then.

  • Totally agree. Well...I wasn't born in '80, but I know what you mean. 2007 revamp of this song was pretty good, 'cause there were no big difference beetween it and '86 version, but this... oh god, this is a real piece of shit.

  • music is awesome, but the new lyric style is horrible, so much better the 80s version

  • i prefer the original but this one isnt too bad really :)

  • They fuckin murdered it. Why would they want this great song in the 2nd movie anyways when they already saw that the first one was lame

  • I really like both songs. At first the rap discouraged me, but when I really listened to it, it's not so bad. It's still the same message just updated. Nowadays it's hard to listen the the original and see it the same light as they did in the 80's, in my opinion.

Oh yeah, I think the rapper might be trying to hard to be serious and the guitarist's had too much of the other guys weed :P

  • original's better

  • really?.....

  • I dig this version!

  • what is with the guitarist expression he looks like a pedophile.

  • something you have experience with, or just looking in the mirror lately?

  • I don't like this version... Original ftw!

    Stan, you got the touch!

  • Shitty version. You can't compare this with the original song from '86.

  • cool

  • i love both versions they both rock

  • I think both this and the orginal are pretty good. But I will always like the old one more.

  • Sam's song? who cares. its even sick, ''the touch''? horrible, remember what his sex addict mom asked him in the 07 movie? :P

this is Prime's song damn it!!

  • Jesus tap-dancing Christ... Bay warped one of the most positive, upbeat, and iconic songs of the 80s into a cheap, tuneless emo song for 15 year olds to cut themselves to. And come on, Bush, you can't be THIS desperate for a paycheck! <:S

And this is NOT Sam's theme. If anything, Sam's theme should be "I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me?".

  • Michael Bay ruined a good series, and now a good song. No Bay Transformers movies = no shitty version

  • I know people are going to hate me for this, but I prefer this one than the originol

  • @avak124 I completley agree.

  • @avak124 I also agree with you

  • I cringed the first time i saw this vid.. but gotta admit.. not a bad attempt at a new twist of this song.. i guess what killed it was the silly looks on the rapper n guitarist faces LOL...

  • cool

  • this is FUCKING awesome

  • Anyone else agree that the rapper looks like porn star peter north?!

  • I love how at 0:55, he just steps up like "I'm Martin Sheen, get out of my way scrub"

  • This sounds like LP

looks like they finally killed one of the greatest songs ever ;(

  • At least they got Stan Bush back in.

  • After rewatching this a few times, I think my favorite part is the weird shit eating grin the guitarist has the entire video. Like, Stan and the rap guy (who looks like a cross between Shia Lebouf and Luke Wilson, which also kinda weirds me out) are trying to do the whole serious/depressed face thing, and he's just got a big smirk the whole time, like he's the only one who's in on the joke.

  • The grinning guitar player , towards the end .. there's a quick clip where he looks like Dan Akroyd 3:47

  • I know rap music way better than this...

    This...

This is just a boring song.

  • Why does Stan look like Paul Mccartney now?

  • @moron989 - the piano parts sound very similar to the parts from New Divide (the Linkin Park song for RotF), and the whole rapping/talky parts + heavy guitar gives off a very Linkin Parky vibe. Not saying they were trying to rip off Linkin Park, more that they knew that was the musical theme for the new movie and wanted to make something that would fit in.

  • Stan Bush is my best friend's dad, i drove to the 09 botcon with them. i know the guitarist and his son personally too

  • .... The original version was... is... much better than this, but the original movie was better too. This is all my opinion.

  • also,nice song,really nice

  • @sonicmegamanxteam4

    its not :)

  • y dos everybody rip on this vid?they didnt want a linkin park feel or rip on linkin park.i dont hear it at all.but, linkin park really?

  • ya..i know stan personally, and we were talking about that. he did try to put some linkin park in there. in the first transformers movie stan competed with link park to have his sng played during the credits

  • Sounds like a remix. Instead of doing a 'L-P' style remake, he should have kept the upbeat, powerful sound of the 80's & updated 2 something more like Nickelback's 'If everyone Cared', or maybe something like Creed's 'Take Me Higher'.

I'm still adding this, because it's one of those songs that, if you yourself ever became an artist, you'd want to do a version of. I'm glad he got in the Movie, tho.

Still, 80's version was far more...evocative.

Would u congrats him 4 me, plz.

    From a fan

  • so true, so true. the 80's version at the scene:

    rise, rodimus prime.

    ......optimus......?

that scene is most amazing because of the touch song!!!!

  • I was all ready to laugh at this video...but, its actually not THAT bad. (except for the rapping)

  • This is pretty cool. The movie sucked ass but this is a nice update from Stan! I agree that the rapping is a bit out of place. Seems like they want a Linkin Park feel. Which is bad.

  • i am okay with the update but the rap part really annoys me. Rap is not music imo!

  • it's not rap,it's talky parts

(sorry, but i had to get that out of my system,it was annoying me that they call the talky parts rap,rap is something on it's own, when there's rock in it,there's no way it can be rap,if it's a rap song alone, then it's rap)

  • love it..!!!!!! great job Holger..

  • Where's Michael Bay so I can go beat the shit out of him for not only this abomination and the complete and total shitfest that was "Revenge of the Fallen"

  • I didn't like this song at first, but it somehow managed to grow on me. o_o Go figure. Still like the original, but this one holds its own in a way.

  • nice new take on a classic song.

  • I don't understand why people keep saying this is bad. I admit that I didn't like it at first, especially the video. But when I listen to it, it sounds actually pretty cool. This song is meant for the character Sam, who has these difficult trials to face when being befriended with Alien Robots, so it's normal that the song has a different tune to it.

I love the original one, but I love this one too. If you compare the both of them, the themes aren't the same.

Great job, Stan. I love it.

  • Man, this song is not about Sam at all. It doesn't work as the theme for anybody whose last name isn't "Prime".

  • Hey, I'm not a Linkin Park fan. Used to when I was twelve, but not now.

As it happens, I prefer this version over the original.

  • Its an OK update of the song, but has npothing on the original version!

  • Yea. I would like it a lot better if there was no rapping in it. I like the more emo theme for all the new age kids who don't like uplifting songs but the rap just kills it for me. It will never replace the original version. ever.

  • great job

  • most of those clips are from the first movie. not revenge of the fallen...

  • I miss the original

  • que buena version!!!
