  • @steelersjourney No worries. Yeah man, my Niners were so damn close. Can't believe it ended the way it did, but I'm very proud of how well we played this season. Definitely wasn't expecting to be in the NFC Championship game. We're going for #6 next season!

  • Bettis obviously had more momentum than Urlacher. This isn't denigrating him, it's just obviously true.

  • @cauchamar Doesn't Matter Who Had More Momentum .The Point Is The Bears And Brian Urlacher Could Not Stop That Play For A Score To Basically Put The Game Away .Their Job Is To Stop A Running Backs Momentum And Prevent Them From Scoring A Touchdown And Forcing Them To Kick A Field Goal But The Steelers And Jerome Bettis Had Other Ideas !!

  • @steelersjourney no offense its makes u look gay when u capitalize every damn letter

  • @97devilpup No Offense You Must Have Bad Eyes Because I Only Capitalize The First Letter In Each Word Of A Sentence ,Not Every Letter !!

  • @steelersjourney Why Do You Do That? It's A Pain To Always Have To Go To The Shift Key For Every Word. Oh Well.

  • @fireandice909 First I'm Used To It ,Second Everybody Can Tell If It's Me Or Spam .Spam Don't Type Like That !!

  • @steelersjourney lol! And Lol!!

  • He ran him over. Had he not got the push from the guy on his own team he still would have gotten the touchdown. Ulacher was on his way down.

  • he didnt run anyone over his offensive lineman (#66) is the one who provided the push and momentum to move the whole pile, bettis didn't plow anyone

  • @abababbabababba I Agree They Helped ,But Bettis Did Run Over Urlacher Because He Tried To Takle Him And Was Simply Over Powered Because Bettis Wanted More !!

  • @steelersjourney "Jerome Bettis gets CRUSHED" type it in... THATS running over someone. You run over someone when you have close to or the same momentum as when you originally made contact with said person... Bettis barely makes the goal line... you guys are seriously deprived of actual run jobs... if you played football at all, youd know what im talking about

  • @jiggs416 OK Maybe I Should Refraze It As "Jerome Bettis Runs Through Bears Defense" Because They Had A Shot On Three Occasions And Couldn't Get The Job Done !!

  • @jiggs416 What are YOU talking about? Bettis clearly runs over 43, then loses a little momentum but then gains enough strength to run over Urlacher who had perfect position on him.

  • @jiggs416 Just watched the video you mentioned. That was a great hit, but watch your video, and notice Bettis stopped his feet, he had no power leaning towards Bowen. Most people over 225lbs could do that if there's a person standing there waiting to be hit.

  • @justinisaac95 Are You A Bears Fan ? Just Curious Because You Seem Hell Bend On Trying To Prove Something That's Clearing Not There .Number 43 Got Ran Over Then Urlacher Was Next And Got Put On His @ss With The Rest Of The Bears Defense !!

  • @steelersjourney I'm a NINER fan! But I think you missed what I was saying. I said that Bettis DID run through these guys. He totally ran over 43 and trucked through Urlacher too. Not sure what you didn't understand about my first comment.

  • @justinisaac95 Sorry About That ,I Thought You Were Disagreeing .You Know For A Minute There I Actually Thought The 49ers Were Going To Tie Us At 6 Super Bowls !!

  • @steelersjourney I think you might've seen my second comment to @jiggs416. He had this video of Bettis getting "crushed" but I was saying to him/her that Bettis had no momentum and he gets nailed right when he looks up field. It wasn't a fair one on one hit.

  • @jiggs416 your just mad because your favorite team is the bears and jerome bettis at age 39 could still run over any one on the defence

  • @abababbabababba yeh ok lol. thats why number 43 hit the ground and urlacher was went backwards along with charles tillman

  • @abababbabababba what are you talking about? 66 was behind Bettis when he ran OVER 43 and Urlacher. Just before Bettis ducks under the final two guys, 66 comes from behind and clipped Bettis' legs which had nothing to do with getting him into the end zone. You should watch that over and over until you get it right.

  • @abababbabababba You must be watching a different video

  • HE RAN HIM OVER!!

  • here's Bettis in his prime... type in "Jerome Bettis gets CRUSHED"....

    THATS called running over someone

  • LMAO, is that really what you consider "running over"? thats weak

  • @jiggs416 To Consider That Was His Last Year And Not In His Prime Yes .Either That Or The Bears Just Suck At Tackling !!

  • Comment removed

  • @steelersjourney

I'll give you its his last year, and he isnt in his prime, but when you outweigh almost everyone on the field while running downhill, its hard to stop anybody, even an amateur. Plus they are at the goal line, you cant go for a low hit like you would normally against a bigger guy, because his momentum is still gonna make him go forward after the hit. Urlacher played it as good as anyone could... the first hit shoulda been better

  • @jiggs416 I Saw Him Run Through Or Over At Least 3 Bears That Was A Great Run Dude ,Because It Not Only Gave The Steelers The Lead And The Win ,They Never Lost Again That Year !!

  • @jiggs416 he basically broke 3 tackles with a trucking move and urlachers knees buckled how is that not running him over?

  • @biglittlejujitsuman

LOL he knocked over a safety thats half his size while Urlacher was standing still and Bettis was moving forward. A "jiujitsu" person should understand momentum.... FYI when you tackle someone, you use your body weight to bring them down, so most of the time you ARE going to the ground, there are no "knees buckling"

LMAO I remember when i first started watching football too...

  • @jiggs416 ye that safety was tough and bettis had 3 yards when he turned the corner to run at him and so its not like he sprinted from way back. secondly urlacher was moving towards him at the same speed bettis was moving when they collide so throw your momentum argument out the window.thirdly urlachers left knee definitely buckles and lastly he is still running him over so your wrong on all counts

  • @biglittlejujitsuman Wow, just... wow... Urlacher is standing still , but he tries to push himself forward from a standing spot, Bettis CLEARLY has more momentum. Wow... im still in shock at your ignorance. O_O

  • @jiggs416 ye bettis was moving forward at the same speed urlacher was. his momentum was slown down by the safety. urlacher was moving forward from a standing spot originally yes but he was moving at a similar speed to bettis when they came together. watch it again and tell me they are not travelling at a similar speed

  • @jiggs416 name another back that could have done that and don't say jacobs he knocked urlacher over when urlacher was wrong footed. big difference to trucking him and he is too slow to do it after trucking the safety

  • Urlacher is overrated not impreessive do that against JPP

  • if somebody told me to show one play on what bettis is about, it would be that one. At 34 years old and in his final year

  • mendenhall is definately not a fit for the steelers i mean the bus runs over people thats the true steelers way but rashard just dancing around untilom recently but still not the bus

  • @ast1999WtF The Steelers Should Start Redman Instead Because Has That Kind Of Power To Go Up The Middle And Take On Defenders !!

  • @steelersjourney they should try 2 get trent richardson i think he could help them out alot

  • @TetnisNoodle I Know I Should Start Watching College More Often Can You Please Send Me A Clip Of This Guy ? Thanks !!

  • Look out! Here comes the bus!

  • remember those old FOX graphics, epic

  • they went on to win the SB that year in Detroit. Bettis' best year was probably that season. #6 seed won it all. it was supposed to be Peton Manning's year according to the media. LOL they don't give credit to Ben for the Detroit SB win, but Ben was responsible for whipping Peyton Manning in the playoffs in Indianapolis. Bettis nearly lost the game with a fumble, Ben was the only thing to stop the Colt that picked up the fumble..plus been through passes all day for touchdowns, 21-3 in first half

  • @DiceCarlinKinison then ben went on to Denver for the AFC championship game and won that game on incredible TD passes. THEN, Media give Team credit over Ben because he through 2 INT in SB. That was it. He ran a TD in, a made incredible pass to Hines Ward. And made incredible block for the Randle El TD pass to Ward. People are just jealous...they hated seeing Pittsburgh win all the time in the 70's. I still can't believe it... back to back super bowl wins TWICE with ONE TEAM..4 outta six years!!

  • @DiceCarlinKinison I agree. Ben played great that day. The team played championship football.

  • @DiceCarlinKinison For Jerome, what better way to end a career than to win a championship with the Pittsburgh Steelers in your last game, in your hometown. WOW!... Re: the Colts, the two teams have a bit of history in the playoffs. Steelers beat them in 1995 after a missed Hail Mary pass in the end zone and in '05. In '09 I think the Colts didn't start Manning because they wanted to keep the Steelers out of the playoffs. The Steelers are a dangerous playoff team.

  • You make it seem unusual when a guy like bettis is capable of doing that to

    Most linebackers

  • the bus is nice but go RAVENS!!! haha

  • @wmw5 So You're A Raven Fan Ha ? Just Wanted To Ask You How It Feels To Beat Us Twice And You Still Can't Get Rid Of Us ? We're Both 9-3 !!

  • @steelersjourney Are only losses were to Legit teams. The texans once and the ravens twice.

  • @steelersjourney haha ik we like to make it exciting at the end. and whoever wins the division still hope to see u guys in the playoffs

  • @wmw5 Just Remember The Steelers Are 9-0 In The Playoffs When They Had To Face A Division Opponent For A Third Time ,Including 3-0 Vs The Ravens ,Good Luck !!

  • I want another back like The Bus. He was a golden back and if we still had dim today we would own teh running game.

  • @kimplin I Agree With You 100%

  • @kimplin There will never be another one like The Bus

  • I hope the bus makes HOF this year.

  • @MrSteelerfan58 Me Too ,He Deserves It !!

  • @Aswifthippie,

Mendenhall doesn't run north south like JB did. He pretends to be a power runner, and at the line of first attack he turns into a primadonna and tries to do a whack spin move or back into the play. The bus would just drop his shoulder and either run the defender over or make half the D bring him down. Mendenhall lacks the heart and drive of the bus. Plain n simple.

  • @craftassassins That's not fair. Mendy is no Bettis, that's for sure, but you can't expect him to go head-on like Bus did. He weighs 50lbs less and has a different frame and style.

  • @craftassassins You know, it could be interpreted as lack of heart , I'm not sure it is. It could be that a lot of these intelligent players are thinking of how they'll be mentally several years after their careers are over. The data is out there now. These guys don't fare too well down the line.

  • Soo Uhm y isn't he in the H.O.F?

  • and The Bus wasn't a first ballod hallof famer because....?

  • @spickuss67 I Wonder Why ? That's Very Interesting .He Has The Numbers And A Super Bowl Ring .That Makes Absolutely Possitively No Sense At All !!

  • @spickuss67 I think he should have gotten in on the first ballot, but so should Curtis Martin. There are just some guys who have been on the waiting list longer. I wonder if they'll put two running backs in the same year. Dermonti Dawson also deserved to be in on first ballot, but it just doesn't work like that.

  • When was the last time you saw a fullback not only blow a guy back like that, but hold the block for that long? God I miss Kreider.

  • @AllTheBaconAndEggs I Miss Him Too ,The Steelers Need Another Full Back Like That !!

  • Why does this look like its from 1970

  • @volar I Don't Know ,Maybe It's Because Ben Roethlisberger Is The Best Quarter Back The Steelers Have Had Since Terry Bradshaw And Jerome Bettis Was The Best Running Back The Steelers Of Had Since Franco Harris !!

  • @volar its from the snow

  • Back when the steelers were good.

  • @KrupaDrums The Steelers Need That Kind Of Running Game To Go Along With The Passing Game To (A) Take The Pressure Off Of Big Ben And (B) Take The Pressure Off Their Defense !!

  • @steelersjourney c to tire out defenses mendenhall doesnt tire out the linebackers like bettis did

  • @biglittlejujitsuman That's Why He Was The Bus ,And Franco Harris Was The Sherman Tank Back In The 70's .It's Going To Be Hard To Replace Either One Of Those Guys !!

  • @steelersjourney redman is coming good right now as a power back which plays into the steeler way.helps to tire out defenses i dont believe in putting the ball into QBs hand every time especially when he is fumble and int prone.

  • @biglittlejujitsuman Yea I've Always Believed In Running The Ball And Controling The Clock .Going On Long Drives That Eats Up 8 Minutes .Throw Short Passes To Keep The Drive Going ,Take Your Shots Down Field When You Get Your Chance .That Kind Of Offense With A Great Defense Makes A The Defense Even Better Because Rests Them Instead Of Going Out There After An 3 And Out .Redman Could Very Well Be That Extra Guy The Steelers Need To Do That Again In Order To Win Their 7th Super Bowl !!

  • @steelersjourney ye its ok to have a shalow ground game when big ben is on electric form in the playoffs but he wont be every time thats why you need the ground game to tire guys out and keep the defense rested

  • @steelersjourney We would be a lot better off if our Offensive line wasn't such shit. I don't even think you can blame Rashard, our o-line just doesn't open up holes. Every time I wanna blame him, I see the replay and he had nothing but a wall of defenders to run at. Same reason Ben gets hit in the backfield so much. We need some young, new linemen.

  • @ASwiftHippie That Certainly Couldn't Hurt .Personally I Would Love To See The Steelers At 100% Full Strength On Offense And Defense !!

  • This run defines steeler football

  • @Jumsdune20 Defense As Well As Offense Nobody Plays Smashmouth Football Beter Then The Steelers Nobody !!
