They are both great players. But they are both good at different things. I think I would take polomalu though because I like a safety who hits hard, and remember he isn't bad in coverage either.

This is a lousy way to show Ed Reed's skills. He is never the guy who puts pressure and sacks the QB, those are hard hitting run stoppers like Dawkins. Ed Reed is a coverage guy and I was hoping to see some great picks

I dont watch Ed Reed play or the Ravens,but I do know Troy Polomalu is one of the best to ever play the safety position. So if Ed Reed is so much better than him how come he's not on the cover or a higher pick in the fantasy draft?

if you think maddens cover or draft means your a better player your a FUCKIN MORON!! ed reed is a better safety than polomalu. and polomalu is a better linebacker than reed..unfortunately polomalu isnt a line backer. troy is great one of the best, but he gets caught trying to get the big hit. reed has way better recognition of plays and is smarter than troy. the safety position is all about being smart. reed is a far better overall safety than polomalu.

when they played the same position, Ed Reed was better at every single statistical category. Tackles, sacks, FFs, FRs, INTs, PDs, return yards, TDs, etc. Polamalu is an absolute joke in comparison.
