is it really in Aug. 2006? I was there in Aug. 2006 but the weather was just a little bit cool and dry. I remembered wearing short while walking to Tesco. Anyway, I really miss that Uni and the town.
I've been at Essex univeristy 3 weeks and it already feels more like home then the town I grew up in. This is such a beautiful video, I hope it snows this year so there can be a sequel =) x
The beautiful lake, the squares, the library, the towers, the southcourts it's all in there...it's been 10 years for me now...I remember one night in 1997 when the place was covered with the thickest fog...we wandered all night long...thank you for the romantic video, keep up your talented work!
thanks for uploading, brings back memories of 2003 and 2004 when I was there.
now I'm in Malaysia doing my PhD. I wish I could do it in Essex, but the scholarships for the overseas students didn't cover much of the fees.nice Enya song by the way.
Really enjoyed this. Some changes onsite since '72/74. Can't recollect much in the way of snow. 'Medication' hindering awareness. Maybe not. Being home (N.East) during the hols permitted me to enjoy snow at home. I recollect feeling very helpless when hearing the ducklings down the outlet from the lake unable to reach safety. Our smallholding is regularly supplied with ducklings, goslings, anything-lings from RSPCA and other sources. Redressing the balance a little bit. Maybe.
Why should this be classed as a poor comment? (We have a new crop of ducklings this year. Two new beautiful greylag geese arrived to complement our three residents) I passed through Colchester on the way to buying a pinball machine in Sept 2008. The sight of the towers still tugs at the heartstrings.
I still remember the snowy day. It's around Chistmas Day of 2005. I was there.

Beautiful video. Brings back some nice memories. It reminds me of the time it snowed when I was there in 1997. :)

Great compialation. The snow kind of hides the horrible concrete and glass architecture and makes it look like a great place.
