Lost was a part of my life, and for many others too. I have never watched a show that has made me feel so happy and sad. What they made here was special. It can never be taken away from us, nor can we ever forget how much of a good show this was.
The reason why its called LOST isnt merely because they are LOST on the island. It's also about being LOST in who we all are and what we are unsatisfied with. We are too LOST in ourselves that we become the island. An island with mystery, life , and secrets. Our friends visit but can never make it inside. Only we can reach the inner core of who we are and finally get the taste of fufillment. Once we accept who we are and our mistakes, only then will we be found. See you soon
Lost made me question my poop. When I would go poop, before it was just poop. But now.. Now, my poop, the texture as it slowly slides out stimulating the sphincter nerves into an orchestra of feelings and provoking deep thought that transcends my very being. The sound of the poop crashing into the porcelain cliff below, tender but forceful, bellowing out a beautiful melody, reminding me of a simpler time... long long ago. When the earth was still new, and the innocent, were still innocent.
If I can get heavy, deep, and real here for a minute. I have often wondered if God has "perfect" music to be enjoyed for every individual person when they enter the pearly gates. In other words, knowing your soul as intimately as it can be known, does He have music to move you like nothing else possibly could? That is a hope and fantasy of mine. This music in LOST must come pretty close to what that would be. It is powerful, beautiful, communicative, sad, and hopeful all at once. Truly amazing.
this piece of music is extreme power, nothing has ever made me cry so much than this ending. im a well educated guy and know and understand how the world works and how this is just a tv show etc etc blah blah blah, but this piece of music when viewed the right way, after watching something for 6 years and invisting time and energy and thought.... it pulls at your heart strings like nothing else. i was crying like a little girl watching jack die and his friends be together as they pass on.
@rob87s Amen and ditto. This is one of the most moving pieces of music and from the most amazing sequence of television I have ever seen. And as you point out, we earned the right to shed those tears through six years of time invested in the characters. Movies, and television, and theatre are designed to trigger emotion. That is the point. So don't worry rob87s because I cried like a baby multiple times. It is powerful, powerful music and powerful drama, beautifully done by all involved.

There are only 2 instances in tv that have made me cry... The x files episode where moulder found out what happened to his sister, and the end of Lost. And it takes a lot to squeeze some emotion outta me.
