  • Banana boats look like lots of fun ... I wish I would have known about that when I was younger coz I loved to make crappy paper boats and following them down the river. These boats would be way more fun :o) Since I am a man (don't know if you have the same saying but we say here "the child in the man", haha) so it still can happen again, haha.

  • Oh do make some banana boats! They take about a month to really dry out and go hard but worth the wait!

  • OHHH TRISH MUST MAKE ONE!!!!

  • Yes, the hardest part is being patient for 3 weeks while they go hard

I kept checking and by about day 4 they looked all droopy and i thought it wouldn't work, but time just dries them out and makes them go hard

  • I think it's the child in us that gives us delight in making such things as banana boats. Seeing them float in a sink or a bathtub takes one back to simpler, happier times. And besides, it's darn cool to watch :)

  • Oh for sure! Since being on YT i have tried various crafts that i would never have done before, but making boats from banana skins beats them all! AND i get to play with them in water!! When i was a kid i used to cut a grapefruit in half and sail it in the pond, but banana boats are better!

    :-)

    x hugs x

  • Wow Twish...I wonder what Harry Belafonte would think of your banana boats!! That's Cool..and they even float.....Sherry☺

  • His song was the obvious choice for this video, but copyright and issues prevent me *sigh*

    :-)

    x hugs x

  • What a poet you are Twish!!!!! Great! I see you added some wall art along with that prize photo...are they gifts from YouTubers too?

  • Yes, all gifts! The top one is MargoGomez, a USA comedienne here on YT also, the middle one is 'Ode to the People' by ScottFaithfull and the bottom one is a Calendar made by Ladypn with each month a different scene of where she lives in Vancouver :-)

    x hugs x

  • All I can say is "you really float my boat!" bah dah dum... Yes it floats, but I bet it won't hold a passenger!

  • I admit they did sink when i tried to get in them ;-)

    LOL! you nutter!!

    x hugs x

  • Great Job!

  • Thank You Dunross, i like your new orange background on your channel. All you need now is a channel icon :-)

    x hugs x

  • I thought that idea of Nancy's hubby was so cute and how it would make a great idea for a party favor at a luau-themed party or to hold a name tag for a place setting.

  • He is wonderful, i love 'The Wiz' !

    :-)

    x hugs x

  • Hey Twish, Nancy's HubbyWiz here with Congratulations! You not only had twice the fun Twish, but you also had the joy of devouring two bananas! Now, as I see it, you could be the very first queen to wear banana skin boat ear rings and maybe start a trend! Here's another Royal idea, put your cell phone into a unique re-cycled skin... a banana skin! Hey, how about getting some GIANT Bananas and make a pair of 'slippers'! OK, time out for the Wiz, got brain freeze from my banana Split. Yummy!

  • Banana boat earrings sound divine! I am totally into these new fashions! a cell phone cover made from banana skin sounds, well sounds fruity to me! but as for the slippers idea, i am afraid they don't grow high heeled bananas!

I had FUN making them and showing them off, Thank You! :-)

    x hugs x

  • Those are too cute;) Is it okay if I make a banana split instead????

    Hug Ice Cream, Marylou ^-^
