  • "This arrangement almost works better than just about any other I've seen almost working"

Even if it doesn't quite make it, you win the prize for most classic comment. ;)

  • Nice example of engaging gravity (falling stator here) with magnetism. Love it. Maybe a counterweight to the swinger with a smaller angle of operation works better. Go on like this.... and we are on our way with Finsrud's principles (requires a pendulum controlled pendulum with a magnet controlled vibrating feedback loop to a magnet driven rotary setup). I always believed magnetism should be combined with gravity to make a magnet motor work...nice to see you leaning towards this.

  • You know TK, you'd make a kick ass neighbor!

  • Thanks--if a rental comes up nearby let me know, I might be looking to relocate soon!

  • hahaha milo line and donkeys, hahahahaheeehoorr

    brilliant vid !!!

  • almost... haha

loving it Tk, keep em coming... :)

  • How about mounting the rotor magnet end wise? Mount the arm magnet end wise also. Make both magnet poles repel. Set the arm magnet to come down directly behind the rotor magnet with a very small gap. Maximum repel on each arm drop if the gap is small enough. I think this could work. If so, may be try two magnets on the rotor and arm in parallel for more go. Since the arm comes straight down, there may not be much problem with magnetic force on the arm magnet. 90 deg.

  • Neeeds more plywood :)

  • Dude, You're scary. I was just working on the same thing for my left over Mylow platter.

But, I was using two pistons on long arms extending about 5 inches diameter and using 2 stacks of rotor mags.

In and Out, out like a porn start.

  • I wonder if there is a way to keep the stator down just a little longer?

  • I'm not sure...is this a magnet-assisted gravity wheel, or a gravity-assisted magnet wheel?

Regardless, the magnorexic retracpulsion and the erectrolic repultraction seem about balanced most of the time, until gravity pushes things along over the hump.
