I dunno.... I think she could get at least 3-4 games against a professional male player on grass. I don't think she would have that much trouble holding serve; maybe men hit harder and run faster but that doesn't mean they return better. Men don't have faster REFLEXES than women. And what makes Serena's serve so good is partly its speed, yes (it is a fact that her average first serve speed IS higher than a lot of men's), but mostly PLACEMENT. On grass, it would not be unheard of....

@bjdm3089 you raise a good point but, i think men would be more than comfortable returning serena's first serve. In women's tennis 100-118 is your typical "ace-worthy" serve speed. Which for men is a very slow first serve to return. Roddick sometimes hits second serves of that speed. That being said roddick is not the best returner so i think what i said would not apply to him.

I didn't see the match but I think for sure men have a harder time playing with women mainly due to mentality. (They think they're SUPPOSED to win) Once your head goes - physicality and skill count for little. But for those who want to look at power and all the crap - Serena has some huge legs - if you're smart enough in this game you know footwork is the basis of all pro shots... hell footwork is the basis of sports.

The main factor would be movement and consistency. The men have a lot more margin on their balls (including Andy), coupled with the superior court coverage, Serena would have to hit tooooo many good shots to win rallies. I do think she would be relatively successful on his serve, because a lot of Andy's balls, although fast, sit up. Andy would be Serena's best chance at a top player, because even if she couldn't touch his serve, he would do much with hers either.

Mixed Doubles is a lot harder to return serves than a single match. Serena or any other top 10 female on the WTA won't stand a chance against any male in the top 100. Personally, I think John Ishner and Ivo Karlovic would annihilate any of the top 10 females with astounding ease.  Serena rely's on power to gain the advantage in her matches, without power... she's in a world of hurt.
