the boeing 377PG was built to transport outsized cargo like the saturn rockets built in california. there were the original 377PG, the 377SP(super guppy) and the 377MG(mini guppy).the PG was the only one that was piston engined. the rest were allison t-56 turboprops. watch all of them taking off and landing at long beach airport back in the 60's and 70's. real cool

it is a 377 stratocruiser origanally modified to carry sections of Nasa rockets. it was later bought by Airbus industry to tote airbus fuselages between plants. airbus later copied the concept with the Baluga airbus.

still the boeing beats out Airbus. we can produce enough 787's to rival that of the A380 and with less passenger carrying ablility. The age of 4 engine jets, though glamorous is over. the 787 will be easier to build, chepper to build, and look a lot sexier than any of the Airbuses

They are in fact (almost) all real planes: the Conroy Skymonster, the Pregnant Guppy, the Airbus Beluga, the 747 LCF Dreamlifter, the An-225, the A-380, and the Boeing 377 Stratocruiser.

@2:38 is from a flight simulator and not a real picture, but it is a real airplane. @2:16 is a photoshopped version of the An-225 (helpfully labeled as such).

I can't identify the plane at 0:54, but it appears to be a flying boat of some variety.
