  • one of my favorite live performances

  • Boz ....great soul and real music...unforgetable seventees.

  • Great Boz...

    Greetings from San Paolo, Brazil.

  • I love Boz. One of my first honest-to-god music experiences. I grew up w/ old C&W (which I still love!), so when I actually heard stuff that was not?? Wow, I was hooked. Lido Shuffle was like a foreign language to me--- and I learned to "speak" it ALL!! So grateful for the internet and YouTube making EVERYTHING so available. I love so much music and so many artists-- like a kid in a candy shop, I am. Just sayin'... :)

  • My all time favorite.

  • Thanks for this song I had the eight track silk degrees when i was dating my husband. He passed away seven years ago. This song reminds me of him and the love we had way back when.

  • It looks very, very cold there.

  • 僕はこの時行ったけど、ちらっとしか見れなかった。雨は降ってなかったから別の日かもしれない。

  • HEY Twisted Sister is great fun, love their lyrics, they apply today.. ...I'm from the 80's...but the Boz....I love his voice/style/writing! WOWEE

  • I love this song, I love Boz, best version of all singers, so much soul in you Boz...

  • MUSICA LINDA !!!

  • 僕はこの時行ったけど、ちらっとしか見れなかった。雨は降ってなかったから別の日かもしれない。

  • where is the love button?

  • Best song ever, period.

  • I played this song at my husbands' funeral in 1979. Can't help it, in our lives, there's only one love, always and forever ...Huichol53......

  • Makes me cry.. Love this when I was in HS. :)

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE this song forever!!!

  • Great song at all time . Thanks Bob .

  • - 6 people can't accept that they are alone..

  • Brilliant, even though it must have been chilly!

  • so understated for so long, brilliant voice, and performer. wish I could see him live in England

  • Only those who've been together a long time can understand the true meaning of this song....

  • Bring me back to my senior year in High School, what a beautiful time and a great song.

  • Boz is the man!!!!

  • This is real music...I forgot all about these love songs!

  • This melody is hauntingly perfect and parallels the emotional intent of the lyrics like a mirror-image.

  • he sings from the heart!

  • he looks like he means it when he sings , emotion ! hes singing this to someone inside his heart

  • marvelous voice..

  • Great song. LOVE Boz Skaggs!! So thankful for youtube. I still buy music, but never listen to the radio any more. I get it here. Besides existing favorites, I have discovered so much wonderful talent I never knew existed right here - either through links from friends or searching on my own. Absolutely wonderful medium. How else would I ever have really known about the brilliant Eva Cassidy???? Now I have almost all her CD's.

  • By and large the music industry is too worried about the bottom line now. They keep promoting crap and selling it with T&A- oh sure some talent breaks through now and then but back then there were so many styles of music, and the studios took more risks, when they found real talent they backed it. It was an exciting inventive time for great music.

  • If you don't respond in some way- you are cold and mean. Really a beautiful song. One of his best!

  • guessin'

  • he looks like he's freezing his ass off

  • Ladies and Gentlemen introducing The Great Boz Scaggs!

  • What more can I say... He is just so talented and can deliver music in such a beautiful way. Sadly, there are no "Artists" out here in the world today that posess such gifts... Today's music is all "stolen" from previous hits and "Re-mastered" by computers... NO ONE compares!

  • @hockeychick1321 Boz is great but there are still talented musicians and songwriters out there, they just aren't getting the recognition and applause they deserve. Norah Jones, David Gray, Mark Knopfler with or without Dire Straits and Neil Young come to mind immediately.

  • I remember my 20's... Great music, great performer, song writer and arranger! Thanks Bozz for your music, you did a very good job! I grew up in South America listening and having a lot of fun with your songs! Yo recuerdo mis 20's... Estupenda musica, tremendo cantante, compositor y arreglista. Gracias Bozz por tu musica, hiciste un trabajo espectacular! Yo creci en Suramerica escuchando y disfrutando tus canciones!

  • i thought that the note must have been lowered. dont know why...he wasnt too old with this vid. but still the sexyness of voice was still there..

  • Sexy Boz Skaggs. Love this performance!

  • @laug66.. I hear the tune "All by myself" more so than this when listening to Rachmaninov's 2nd movemnt.

  • @slidomix69 Loads of people borrow from old music . There was a whole stage show based on the tunes Puggly Lloyd Webber stole from the classical world. It was and ever will be thus! Adapt and survive! xx

  • @theonlyantony I'm aware than limited notes and chords do create similarities. I think it's more interesting and conversational than argumentative.

  • Rita s and Boz s versions are good, no need to compare

  • How many of our pampered artists today would perform in these conditions. All the musicians, and Boz prove they are performers. Seems the weather had no effect.

Zipperheads? Glad to see ignorance and racism knows know bounds. Whayt does the race of people have to do with musics Do you D-bags understand Italian. or German Opera, or does it have to be written in English on a Big Chief tablet with a crayon for you to like it.

What happened to music for the sake of music?

  • this is the right kind of cheese!

  • Chris31974, GOOD for you. If you like Twisted Sister then I'm glad you stood up and said so. I have friends who like Twisted Sister too. You're definiately not one of the unemployable and don't really care if you live at home and I'm betting you don't have a low IQ either. YOU LIKE BOZ SCAGGS and that in my books makes you alright with me. This is a wonderful song and you obviously recognize that. Thumbs Up to YOU.

  • he's singin to a bunch of zipperheads that have no idea what he's saying.

  • @7070legend Great comment: Boys over at the Hee Haw would get their chuckles. Now go clean up the spitoons Bubba.... Billy Bob said it's your turn.

  • LarrytheLizardKing 1967, the 6 morons we both speak of are absolutely indeed 100% certifiably unemployavble and I'm betting they do live at home, making their parents lifes miserable still. LOW I/Q'S....my shoe size and that's a women's size 6. I highly doubt that combined there's is not that low. LMAO at you and your sense of humor and GREAT TASTE IN MUSIC. AH, BOZ! :0)

  • Yes I agree, but it is too late for them.

  • 口パクじゃないね。

  • One of the best songs ever sung ! We like it very much, Brings out the memories !

  • 298,000 times, I think I watch it half of that... :-))

  • Heavens to Murgatroid! Before today, I never knew that Boz wrote this song! And before now I'd only heard it done by Rita Coolidge. Beautiful tune, that's for sure. THANK YOU for posting this cool clip! :-)

  • 6 people who need to "get it though there head. It's over now" LOL

  • just beautiful

  • i remember the time when i was only teen i was so in love with my classmate chuchay

  • It takes nothing away from this song to hear the music that it came from by Rachmaninov. Art and artfulness are essentially derivative - what counts is where your heart comes from and where it intends to go.

    Piano Concerto n. 2 in C minor Op. 18

    ボズがホテル・カリフォルニアを歌ったら素晴らしいだろうな。聞きたい。

  • you morons with 6 thumbs down need to learn WHAT EXACTLY GREAT music is. This song is WONDERFUL....what, u jamming on some Twisted Sister or what?

  • @dgwhitmiresarrell The 6 morons you are talking about live in their parents basement, unemployed, low IQ, and redneck. Have pity on their souls. LMAO

  • @dgwhitmiresarrell I like Twisted Sister but I agree, that's 6 stupid people. I just got this on vinyl

  • @dgwhitmiresarrell Those with the 6 thumbs down are indeed "all alone"!

  • @dgwhitmiresarrell Your comment made me laugh. My brother made up a sarcastic story about driving to a "Poison" concert in Waukegan,Illinois and "listening to 'Twisted Sister' all the way up."

  • @dgwhitmiresarrell

Agreed MORONS Boz rocks still He rocked with Steve Miller! What a VOICE

  • @1gilbv , I took that promise and will fulfill it, thanks. :-)

  • Just friggin AWESOME! I love Boz's music. I courted my wife while playing Boz in the background...we had our first kiss listening to him....

  • i listen another singer, female... was it carpenters? both great version...

  • @isr4el666 ,

It may be you're thinking of Rita Coolidge,an American vocalist who popularised this song!

  • He is touring now, go see him, he is the real deal! great voice, great musician

  • Classic song, classic singer, pure class!

  • He must have really lost the highs in his voice. The original version was in G--this has been lowered to E flat!

  • A beautiful song, lovingly soulful.

Itz outdoors in Snoqualmie, WA and I don't care if I almost drown, I will stay to the end! Boz, this blue-haired grandmother of 60 loves you! I'm in section A; look for me!

  • @Jazzbabyful Enjoy and keep being blue girl!!

  • Singing in the Freezer!

  • all the songs of 80's all the best for me ...........bravo

  • Agreed...totally underrated.... An American treasure... It's F'ing freezing there in Tsukuba, but somehow he sounds perfect. Classy and and a perfect musician. Well done!

  • Search Kermit Scaggs on You Tube for a really funny video to accompany this great song!

  • ボズって若いときから渋い。すてきなおじさま。今はライトジャズを歌っている。

  • めちゃくちゃ若い!久しぶりに聞いてやっぱり感動しました。ありがとうございます。

  • ausome song....cant belive i missed him in brisbane...

    just worked out the chords....

hes singing it lower than on the recording here.

original is in g, this is in Eb. thats a big change.

  • but that lower key fits very well to his voice, and it gives an extra atmosphere. Anyway, it's an awesome song :-D

  • give the guy a pair of mittens

  • Poor guy was freezing his ass off..yet, the true professional that he is..This is OUTSTANDING! Boz is the best!

  • This song warms me up. Memories from the '70's. Love it. I missed him in Melbourne, Australia last week but will aim to be at his next concert here.

  • 今でも好きな曲です。(でもとても寒そうですね)素敵な曲をありがとう!

  • Comment removed

  • He still sounds great...just saw him live in concert in West Australia 1/2 hr ago. This song is haunting.......

  • 不朽の名曲

  • i really love this song.

  • I'll never forget Spring Break, drivin' to Florida, listening to Boz, Elton, Billy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, J Geils Band, Boston, America, Supertramp and all the zillions of fabulous artists and groups that none can even compare to now. I've still got a crush on Boz - he'll always be my favorite. He brings me back to the day like no one else!

  • It's not a cover. This is his own song and he released it as a single (B side) in 1977. Rita Coolidge's is a cover.

  • Wiki must be wrong again then. Either way it's a beautiful song. Props to them both

  • Boz wrote this song.

  • I like the original better. Rita Coolidge's voice is amazing

  • Boz what a champion, freezing cold and still goes hard. respect boz.

  • @mr270368 Agree! My elders kept saying our generation did not have romantic songs. This one beats any one of theirs in melody, sentiment and sophistication of lyrics.

  • さすが、ボズ。

  • what if your mother saw you write this?

  • why wasn't this ever released as a single!?

  • It's a cover of Rita Coolidge's single from the the 70's.

  • Rita's version was the cover. Skaggs had this on his 1976 album Silk Degrees - one of the only songs on that album he didn't have a hit with. He wrote it.

  • Brings back great memories, love this song and Boss

  • Boz rocks! How sadly underrated he is!

    U.W.

  • this is beautiful song from the late 70s, early 80s,,one of my all time favorites, they dont make music like this anymore....
