Total kills must equal total deaths (ignoring team and self kills), so you could say that Kills-Deaths will average to 0, but K/D is a ratio and will not necessarily average to 1. Consider a 1v1 game where player A gets 10 kills / 1 death and player B gets 1 kill / 10 deaths. Then KD(A) = 10, KD(B) = 0.1. The average KD is (10+0.1)/2 = 5.05. The same applies for win / loss.
i won't play solo on BO, because i can't dashboard when i get put into games in progress such as down 0-3 watching the last guy in a 1v5 in snd... so i'm always in a party, so we're almost always winning. W/L is currently 2.55 (about 600 won games), but it's always going up and my KDR is only like 1.38.

I personally find so many people leaving games and rage quiting makes it hard to keep up a win/loss. I normally play without a team so it's all luck that I get teammates. I prefer k/d because it has to do with MY skill, not the random drawing of teammates. My win/loss is horrible (.48)

My W/L is positive now, but because of the servers making me join a session in progress I get a lot of losses. I would over half my losses are due to poor matchmaking. (also includes quitting instantly when I notice I get dropped in a team thats down 50 points in Domination, and losing.)
Since they put me in games where we are completely dominated by 150-40 or so idc about W/L anymore cozz it gets ruined by that kind of games.
Or sometimes when u have the chance to spawn trap the other team, there has to be someone that caps the third flag, in about 45 sec we lost all 3 flags and we lost the game.
Thats why i only care about k/d, cozz i cant make the team win by myself if my team mates dont help me ;(

Well no. An average KD IS a 1. It's not mathematically possible for it to be an higher or lower than 1. For each kill there has to be a death. So sure you'll find kids with 2.5 KDs but there are also kids with .4 KDs.

Depending on what you play K/D and L/W can be similar. Mine are both above 2, I mainly play ground war and search. Search is nice because usually randoms will be able to work together.

Lol, I only wish 1 K/D's and 1 W/L's were the average. I'd be being nice if I said the average CoD player has a 0.90 K/D. Check the stats in all your lobbies. It's almost difficult to find 1+ K/D players. When I check stats, most players have a 080- K/D and an even worse W/L.
Average win loss is about .8 and above. I've brought mine up and it's around .94 with a 78 win streak. K/D is 2.64. Playing with a team is a great advantage to have.

Average k/d is actually 0.65 in Black Ops... Its one of the news in the mini feed inside the game! I saw it one month ago though, might have changed! :)

Well since in this game you has a host pull out his Ethernet cable and it count as a loss, I think K/D matters more.

well in this game i dont care about W/L anymore since everytime you get kicked or host disconnects you get a loss. im almost at my goal of a 2.5 k/d and i dont either camp or only get 10 kill games preserving it. But i always try to make sure im having fun

Depending on what you play K/D and L/W can be similar. Mine are both above 2, I mainly play ground war and search. Search is nice because usually randoms will be able to work together.

i have a bad win/loss ratio because either my pc freezes( which counts as i loss) or i rage quit. and i raged qit almost 3/7 of my games. So my w/l is 0.70

great video dude i subscribed to ur channel. and i think usually people have a lower win loss ratio then their K/D ratio. my K/D is 1.41 and my win loss is only .93. i do have a friend that i love playing with who has a 1.30 or so K/D with a 1.20 win loss i thought that is impressive. what is ur win/loss?

Lol, I only wish 1 K/D's and 1 W/L's were the average. I'd be being nice if I said the average CoD player has a 0.90 K/D. Check the stats in all your lobbies. It's almost difficult to find 1+ K/D players. When I check stats, most players have a 080- K/D and an even worse W/L.

Average win loss is about .8 and above. I've brought mine up and it's around .94 with a 78 win streak. K/D is 2.64. Playing with a team is a great advantage to have.

Well actually, the average k/d is less than 1.00 as people kill themselves.
And the average win/loss ratio is also less than 1.00 as backing out of a match counts as a loss.
