  • the level of artistry and musical genre is incomparable to the chamber choir I've been into under the mentorship of Mr. McKee (Chamber choir 05-06, 06-07)in this same school. This music will be performed in a concert choir level instead of Chamber if he's still there. tenors? where art thou?

  • actually, this song is not meant to be sung in a choir such as the concert choir(varsity). The New York Voices are only 4. In addition, this song was taken to pops festival, and got a high rating- in fact, so high that one of the adjudicators wanted to come by with her group of jazz singers and work with us. I do agree that it could be better though. McKee is no longer the director there.

  • I believe that it doesn't matter how many people can sing in that piece. What matters is the tuning of each person's voice. In addition, POPS festival is different from the previous festivals we've gone into where we sung classical pieces that puts us singers to test our musical prowess. We, too were in the Varsity level and to tell you honestly, you guys sounded more like the Saxon Choir.

I do believe the standard has dramatically decreased by the time McKee left.

  • to tell you both the truth azotobacter88 and sopranosrule. i was in mr. mckees choir as well. omg 08-09 totally sucks. and ive heard and seen you guys perform. so i know how much mr. mckee put in. BUT. mr. rigsby doesnt put us up for the challenge and he doesnt know wut he was doing. no need to diss on us if we didnt diss on yall. kinda hard to be as the older choirs if we dont have a good instructor.
