Great video - many thanks for posting! The Vic 10s' were easily the best mechs that Cinemeccanica ever made. Rank didn't have many sets and most were replaced when spares became scarce.
Tremendous. To think the original proscenium arch is still there all hidden away!! Although perhaps no longer as rumour has it the place was big time trashed after closing to ensure any attempts to have the place fell flat!!!!
When I visited Manchester a few years ago I watched a film in Screen 1 at the Odeon, the presentation was faultless, watching the video's of the projection rooms obviously there was an excellent technical crew worked there, it must have been a very sad time when the Odeon closed for all staff who worked there.
Hi there, i'm assuming you worked at the old Odeon, i'm devestated that they are knocking it down. I just wondered if you know if anything is left inside the cinema. I am a film student at MMU and wouldn't mind pilfering any goodies that are in there for my set if the council let me which is unlikely.

I saw Star Wars there in 1977, and the re-release in 1997.

Hi I think it's still got seats in the cinemas spot lights and some very old stage gear But after 5 years with no heat on ? Good luck at MMU
