  • where did you get your fan - I like the idea of insulated panels

  • We actually ordered it from the United States.

The wireless remote control (which works VERY well from anywhere in the house) was shipped separately, and had to be installed. The instructions are clear, just follow them CAREFULLY when wiring it. That's why I had it set up in my basement to test it before I installed it in the attic. I wanted to make absolutely sure it was going to work.

  • i am looking at the same model can you tell more about after installation. is it noisy? does it perform well?

  • If I were installing new, I'd look at one of the fans that are installed remotely (the Quiet Cool), but the expense of installing ductwork would probably outweigh the advantages.

  • It is a bit noisier than I expected, but not terribly so, not like the huge old rumbling belt-driven ceiling fans I remember growing up in Louisiana. You absolutely must live in an area where the nighttime temperature drops considerably. This works well for us here in New Brunswick; it wouldn't touch the Alabama heat and humidity we left 5 years ago.

  • what is the purpose of having doors for a fan.. and why are they soo thick/ large..

  • Insulation. The doors open into the unheated attic. I bought the model with the highest insulating value (thickest doors).

  • So have you installed it yet? If so, how noisy is it?

  • Interesting fan system. Good explanatory video.
