  • at 2:25 the kid on the right is saying no, i wish i could ask him why

  • It is unlawful in the UCMJ to have sex in any other form than missionary.

I was enlisted for five years.

I can tell you I broke that regulation almost every night.

I bled for our nation's right to free speech, to include my own. You can bet your ass I intend to use it.

Ron Paul 2012, America. Make it happen.

  • How many times has the WhiteHouse used Veterans and Active Duty Military on PUBLIC display to promote the President? How many times do we (the military and veterans) have to be held hostage to dog and pony shows that were a complete waist of time to honor an officer in public. This is just the government saying we are going to hold troops accountable while the officers and their inappropriate orders go unnoticed.

  • It makes me sick to think that he could be in any kind of trouble for speaking up for what he believes in. He served our country for ten years all durring war time. I would assume the establishment would perfer he shut up or come home in a box or be the 1 in 10 that commit suicide after returnig home.

  • I see a man exercising his freedom of speech whether he is in a uniform or an easter bunny outfit the constitution of the united states protects this right. RON PAUL 2012!!

  • ^this Marine is an IDIOT im in the military and i was taught since bootcamp that i cant make these kind of statements..........PLUS if you ever been deployed and watched AFN there are constintly commercials stating that you can NOT support a polititian while in uniform or use ur rank and military branch while making such remarks......same reson you cant protest while in uniform or affiliate yourself with the military at a protest....FUCKING DUMBASS

  • @TriumvirVespasianus Oh my god you're hilarious.

  • Never comment or question authority, they are always right...Right.

Why? They out rank you. They hold the moral high ground.

    I hear and obey....

  • Chink Faggot.

  • @TriumvirVespasianus Yeah, he's a chink faggot who's also veteran lieutenant that served our country. What have you done with your life? Funny how you're subscribed to Ron Paul and Alex Jones, yet you don't believe in libertarianism.

  • @HeroicHero1 Sure thing 'Zero Hero'...:/

  • What's the deal with that lieutenant's medals? I knew they went to tthe blue uniform but do they not wear ribbons any more? He looks like either George C. Scott in 'Patton' or some Breshnev-era Soviet general.

  • Fuck the military freedom for all

  • who let that gook into the military in the first place?

ron paul would never let this faggot shit stain fuck up our army

  • @KernelGaddafi hey kenny just btw spongebob suports obboma :D

  • @KernelGaddafi As someone who served in the military, no real man would give a fuck if their war buddies are gay. They watch your back and you fight side by side. You're a little bitch if you can't accept a gay man in your squad. Don't fuck up Ron Paul's name like that.

  • Free Bradley Manning!!!!

  • This guy is Reptilian!!

  • What is this Chink doing on CNN?

  • lol army idiots always parading around in their damn uniforms. U would never see a Marine do this.

  • Comment removed

  • exposing this corrupt evil government

  • Okay, then please explain how family members of someone running for Congress and such are allowed to be in uniform and up there when they are active duty? The only time I've actually seen this regulation being enforced is when it benefits Ron Paul. The rest of the mainstream candidates on both sides are allowed to have active duty military personnel there without those individuals being targeted.

    Double-standard much?

  • that is an absolute Bullshit regulation. if you are potentially put in harms way, risking your life for our freedoms, you should be able to attend any political function you like while in that uniform, and speak your mind while in that uniform and on your own time.

  • @evilloren I think it's a good checks and balances and necessary for anti-military dictatorship. But, now he knows not to wear a uniform, but he can speak about his service orally. I feel like that's fair.

  • i love how this soldier is HELD to his personal belief and actions when the cunts who commit treason against the whole country get away with it. hypocrisy at its best America.

  • CNN, fuckin leftists...jeez

  • I've been in 12 years and have never been briefed on the regulations pertaining to political activity. Luckily I took it upon myself to look it up before I began participating in political activities.

  • She doesn't under stand what the word 'quote' means. When you say "and I quote" you are NOT allowed to paraphrase. What a stupid...never mind...I was about to say something untoward about her. I'm sure she is a nice person. Even if she regularly does the bidding of evil people.

  • Foreign and domestic. I guess the Oath doesn't mean anything

  • this was never enforced until NOW think about it

  • @EPIIIX no, they have been cracking down on ppl who wear the MOH over the last few years.

also he's ACTIVE DUTY, Active duty is NOT to wear the Uniform to a Political event. it's against Military Law and the Oath... the pledge is to the Constitution and the POTUS.

can not allow a Active duty member to do that.. it's very wrong.. the Uniform Represents the COUNTRY not a party or a person.

  • @Dogmeat1950 man thats so wrong on so many levels.

  • @EPIIIX I mean cracking down on ppl who wear the MOH who never earned it.. as in fakes

  • The powers that be pick and choose what regulations they will enforce or ignore. Uniformed soldiers have been at Obama's rallies, and uniformed soldiers have been on political shows on TV. Media whores and Obama Neo-Coms try to act like they never saw such a thing before. Stay real, people.

  • I’m a soldier and I’m here to tell you what this soldier did was wrong.

America is unique that it has a very powerful military which is wholly subordinate to the civilian government.

You do not want soldiers in uniform, not even junior enlisted members, endorsing candidates for ANY office, let alone the Commander in Chief.

If he was in civilian clothing, that would be different, but a soldier in uniform; NEVER.

  • @Waltham1892 So I'll assume you got pissed off when you saw uniformed military men and women at other politicians rallies.

  • @nekopheliac

Pretty much. Dukakis and the tank, W and the Carrier, any time the military is used as a back drop.

It does not serve the American people to have its military, at any level, share the stage with the civilian government.

A respectful distance between the military and civilians is best, with civilian supremacy of course.

  • Yes we do get briefed, but was there malice involved? it was an honest mistake. sheit. cut the man a break.

  • The policy is clearly aimed at personnel... as it's titled, "On Active Duty", and it does not look to me like that guy was on active duty... unless his superiors had him stationed at a political rally...Nothing there mentioned about what a soldier may or may not do in uniform whilst off active duty..Media r complete dumbasses...

  • Man fuck this. I'm not for gays or Obama . Or Paul really .. But if A man wishes to speak his mind he has the right to say what ever he feels rather he's naked or in uniform!! That's why we started this nation and look. A man can't even say who hes voting for president!! BS!!

  • I am a Marine and can not remember having ever been informed of this regulation. The idea that every service member is taught each individual order is complete bullshit.

  • @NitorSilentium The directive is a lawful general regulation. Violations of paragraphs 4.1. through 4.5. of the Directive by persons subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice are punishable under Article 92, "Failure to Obey Order or Regulation." yeah its gay that was in a email

  • All I see are a few reuploads of that original. Go to google, click videos, and search "ron paul vet censored". You will see that this video and another video where the veteran gets on the podium has been reuploaded many times. They have removed the original video and are literally drowning out any reuploads of that video by posting dozens of copies of the above /\ video. /\/\/\ WAKE UP

  • Where is the original video that was on the front page of youtube for days???? It should have had millions and millions of views! Last i remember, the people were getting upset because youtube would not update the view count of that video, despite there being tens of thousands of comments and likes.

  • 19K D Co 2/81 PFC formerly in the US Army and I support Ron Paul!! I earned my right to speak up and when I see a leader I will do so...this regulation code of conduct is the biggest bunch of bullshit that should be erradicated!! In all other countries its permissable...why not here the most free of nations??? Ron Paul 2012 my Commander in Chief and I will gladly join up again for him :)

  • @03SSMontecarlo i just saw you post this after i said the same thing...wicked is a dildozer lol

  • @WickederThanThou ...you are assuming too much my friend. They interviewed the Corporal 1 on 1 and right when he started speaking out for one of Ron Pauls policies, ironically, they "lost signal" and switched over to another rally , thus censoring. btw youre an idiot. have a nice day fuck wad

  • @Packedzigzag oooh boy...another raging paul-tard that lives in his own little world filled with conspiracies...grow up, douchebag...the world doesnt conspire against you

  • @WickederThanThou You are small minded. I'm so happy that you are comfortable knowing that your children are born into debt in America. I am also happy that you support American military in foreign countries. Keep telling yourself that our government is the same thing our framers intended and watch it all fall apart.

  • @WickederThanThou the world does conspire against us, read the book of Revelation. Its the one where Jesus comes to Earth to destroy the Wicked Government which is at that time a one world government run by the Antichrist. The truth shall set you free. Wake up and Christ shall give you light.

  • They can go fight and die for there country, but cant fight for there rights, and the rights of American citizens.

  • DoD Directive 1344.10, “Political Activities by Members of the Armed Forces on Active Duty,” August 2, 2004 (hereby canceled)

Was he "on Active Duty"? Well I guess this canceled Directive doesn't apply then. Next.

  • Fought to defend constitution, which comes before any guidelines or dress codes. Freedom of speech is absolute

  • This title is misleading. Fuck you.

P.S. Veterans are entitled to act any way they like.

  • censure? where? the title of this video sucks...why is it every time i watch a pro ron paul video i feel like ive been rick rolled?...ron paul fans are cunts

  • @WickederThanThou He was censored and cut off in another video from CNN so Paul invited him to a Rally to speak what they had cut short before. Then they(military) decided it was against the rules, but it wouldn't have been if CNN would have let him finish what he was saying at the time. Hope that helps.

  • @03SSMontecarlo just because they didnt play the entirety of a clip doesnt mean they were trying to take it out of context...furthermore if the military decides its against the rules, doesnt cnn have a responsibility to abide by those rules?

  • @WickederThanThou The rule itself, is for the military. It's kind of a guideline I guess. I've never heard of something so stupid though. The constitution trumps all, no rules or regulation can be above the constitution, Including but not limited to NDAA, patriot act etc.. CNN didn't have to follow it because they are not military, and they were just covering the story. The soldier broke their rule by doing it at a benefit rally, where before it was just a live interview cutoff

  • @03SSMontecarlo it doesnt look like anything was censured by cnn...they didnt even have to cover the story, yet here it is for all of us to discuss...kinda ironic how theyre covering a story theyre supposedly trying to cover up...the title of this video is full of shit

  • @WickederThanThou Something got lost along the way. It was not the video of him on stage that got cut off, it was another one they were referring to from a previous interview with CNN. I'm not even sure he was even censored in that one, it just lost feed or something. It just happens to be the same soldier, that's all. The rule he broke was the military's when he got on stage at the benefit in this video. They should have put a comma, or put previously censored or something???

  • @03SSMontecarlo he wasnt censured by cnn...youtube is filled with all sorts of videos uploaded by paul-tards who claim either ron paul or his supporters were censured or banned in some way...this video is just another example

  • @WickederThanThou I'm starting to believe them, it seems to happen an awful lot to what his followers have to say. Gonna see how much it happens to the likes of the corporate sponsored Romney, would be interesting to see. I'll get back to you on that one, maybe even eye-of-Newt. They may actually have a case, and if that is in fact true, why are they so scared of him to cut his videos. All I know is they're all politicians, and they're not to be trusted!

  • @03SSMontecarlo you live in your own world and youre gonna see what you want to see despite any logical explanation otherwise...all paul-tards must deny reality in order to accept ron paul as their messiah

  • @WickederThanThou I don't feel they accept him as their messiah, they seem to feel that everyone else in politics doups them. I have news for everyone, no one has walked on water in a long time. I did come across a funny statement about how Paul couldn't walk across the water and the media would spin it in to how he couldn't swim, now that was some funny shit. They're politicians, they all lie and deceive to get elected, just some more than others, especially higher offices.

  • @WickederThanThou I agree with you on this point. It's pretty clear that they are covering their inteded story. The story isn't about what the Paul supporting soldier said, it's about what military code of conduct says about the action. However, the fact that they focused on a soldier supporting Paul is funny considering how this happens all the time.

  • I really don't think it's a big deal...

  • Why is this LT in uniform while being interviewed by CNN? Veterans are not suposed to wear the uniform like normal street clothing.

  • He was aware of the consequences. Everyone in the military is aware that you can't do this. Its not like they just make up rules whenever it suits them. These rules have been in place for some time. This guy will be punished. If you don't agree and think its unfair? Don't join the military and if you're in the military and don't think its fair. Don't reenlist. The military is what it is and when you need the military how they do business will matter little to you. Stop your crying.

  • How about CNN breaking the code of ethics and censoring the news? How about holding those in power accountable for invading other countries?... all they can do it attack this poor guy?

  • So they can die for our right to free speech but they just can't take advantage of it themselves

  • @coffeetx Basically, yes.

  • @coffeetx An ACTIVE DUTY member of the military cannot campaign WHILE IN UNIFORM. It's to prevent the appearance of an endorsement from a specific military organization.

  • Comment removed

  • Everyone in the establishment is rallying to try and stop Ron Paul, so foolish things like this are happening.

  • Gee was someone pissed at him for speaking the TRUTH on tv

  • But it's ok for corporations to fund most candidates. Ok! Is there any freedom in this county?

  • I will say what I want, when I want, and wearing whatever I want, and will never accept any consequences for that except death. If you disagree with me then you are un-American and an enemy of our nation.

  • The government's job is to protect the soldier's 1st amendment rights.

  • An unlawful law is just that, unlawful.

  • R[̲̅ə̲̅٨̲̅٥̲̅٦̲̅]ution!

  • Communist News Network :/

    I am disappoint.

  • I knew it was gonna happen; now tell me what exactly is the difference between the USA and USSR, cause I don't see any

  • @niunka1 There are many, of course. You're missing the point.

Noncivilians do not enjoy civil rights. They've voluntarily signed those away for the duration of their contract of service.

Whether or not you like the military or its code (which I do not), it's a matter of upholding one's word.

Those boys should not endorse Obama while in uniform, either (which is not to say that he is unworthy of a military firing squad). Cheers.

  • when Ron Paul wins he will get a presidential pardon :)

  • Same policy applies in the Canadian Forces and rightly so. The military should not be seen as influencing the political atmosphere. This would most likely worry the civilians of that country. What if the Cpl's politician does not get elected. Might I assume that he will serve with less dedication? Who knows? No one wants to doubt the commitment of their military. When he wears his uniform, he represents every in the US military. Regardless of his service over seas, he is still bound to the ru

  • "Veteran censored" is beyond disingenuous. You heard him speak didn't you? He was disciplined for violating orders AFTER he spoke. That's not censorship. Any military member can speak at any rally they just can't do so while in uniform and while representing the DOD/government.

  • @cydonia21 ..yeah, they just stand their like idiots behind the wealthy Commander-In-Chief that sent them their during every freaking rally i can remember for G.W. Bush back in 2004 - Good for CPL Jesse Thornton!!!!!!!!!

  • @SuperOmnicron Well, clearly you don't get it. First of all your "Bush did it too!" example is just a childish 2 wrongs make a right fallacy. The ONLY issue here is disobeying orders which violates an oath that the service member took freely. Also, there is a deeper fairness issue. I support Ron Paul. Lets suppose a well decorated Navy Seal stood up in uniform and announced on CNN "The troops support Obama in this election!!" That sorta pisses on my political beliefs doesn't it?

  • @cydonia21

Hollywood puts on military uniforms and do whatever they want in movies.

I can buy a military uniform and say whatever I want.

It is obviously not about the uniform.

I would fully support a Navy Seal supporting Obama in full uniform because I support "Free Speech." The question is not the "rule" of the military, the point is the rule of the military is not Constitutional. Solders deserve free speech, in fact, it is their right.

  • @HAPMinistries

Otherwise, the "Commander In Chief" should not be able to speak out for any candidate or endorse any, including themselves.

    Make sense?

  • @HAPMinistries "The Commander in Chief" is not a member of the armed services. POTUS is a civilian.

  • @TheEnneagram

The POTUS signs a contract becoming the Commander In Chief.

    It is complete hypocrisy.

  • @HAPMinistries A contract, yes, but POTUS does not sign away civil rights and become government property, which is what soldiers do. Just because your feeling are hurt does not make it hypocrisy. Fight those battles you can win, and which are worth winning.

  • @HAPMinistries Hollywood does not put military in uniforms, military puts military in uniforms. Hollywood puts ACTORS in uniforms and it's not the same thing. Infact, putting on a uniform and pretending to be in the military is against the law. Your right its not about the uniform its about your personal views representing the government. It's not a freedom of speech issue, you can say anything you want JUST NOT IN UNIFORM. Why? BECAUSE YOU SWORE AN OATH NOT TO.

  • @cydonia21

Again, I can put on a uniform and say whatever I want, and a actor can put on a uniform and pretend to be in the military before a camera, and say whatever they want, and broadcast it around the world, and no law is ever enforced against it.

A soldier should never have to swear an oath to lose their freedom of speech, that should NEVER be asked of a soldier. The "rule" is completely wrong.

  • @HAPMinistries No law is inforced against it because acting in uniform is not to be confused with being an agent of the US government. You may feel like the rule is wrong but some Ideas no one "invented" they come about because they work. This is one of those ideas. By all means, start your own private army and make them free to do anything they want. If your theory is right you will take over the world with the ruthless efficiency of your methods and you can run things how you want.

  • @cydonia21 Well put. Cheers.

  • @cydonia21

Declaring a man is not a man because of the color of his skin is wrong, no matter what the "rules" are.

And a American born citizen has American rights that should not be taken away for working for the very US government that gives and protects those very rights. It is complete hypocrisy.

  • @HAPMinistries You can go to your house and yell "FIRE!!!" all you want no laws broken. But if you go to a crowded theater and do it you violate the law. Freedom of speech always has and always will have some limitations(ideally, as few as possible). You have the same freedom of speech as everyone else as soon as you hang your uniform in your closet after work. If you think that's an egregious violation of freedom of speech then your just a fool.

  • @HAPMinistries "Should" has nothing to do with it. The dude signed a contract. He's not a civilian and has no civil rights. Get over it.

  • @TheEnneagram

Should has EVERYTHING to do with it. The US Government should not have the authority to take away civil rights of an American Citizen.

Otherwise, why not have companies make you sign away your rights for a job. That is just lunacy.

And the fact that you are ok with this is HIGHLY Disturbing.

  • @HAPMinistries I'm not OK with it, but neither am I an idealist who mistakes my freedom for some document or who believes that words will save me from tyranny.

Your anger and outrage are understandable, but ineffective. "Companies" are simlarly irrelevant. A contract is a contract. I neither advocate nor support its terms, but I do respect the free will of those who sign it freely. Nobody put a gun to the kid's head and made sign anything.

    Get over it.

  • @cydonia21 ..You would be correct. The military has a contract it signs, and they are bound to it. And , I was in the military, my comment is only in the spirit of his act, not the legality of it. I understand the violation of the oath. There have been brave military people who have violated that oath - one of which was Hugh Thompson, who shot at fellow soldiers defending women and children being fired on in the My Lai Massacre. Morality tends to trump any oath, but he was in violation of orders

  • @SuperOmnicron I agree with what you are saying but why not hang up your uniform and then say whatever you want? That's what I do. I don't feel like I have any lack of freedom of speech. If I were to speak in my uniform I would feel like I am betraying the opinions of my peers by falsely representing them. I would also feel like I am betraying the american people because in uniform I am an agent of the United States Government and as an agent I MUST remain neutral.

  • @SuperOmnicron Well put. Violation of one's oath is a matter of choice, and as humans we retain the right to choose. It's outside the military contract.

    The key is choice.

Inadvertent violations, accidents, if you will, are careless and should be as punishable as speeding or any other offense. No harm was done, but the dude signed a contract. He owes it to himself to accept what he gets.

That said, voluntarily disobeying orders is a strong choice and deserves both punishment but respect.

  • Wars? WRONG! These have been INVASIONS.

  • this is why i dont wanna ever live in america lol

  • watch?v=iP068KDK-ko

  • Although I fully support Ron Paul, I was in the military a few years ago, and we were all made well-aware of these rules. If it was a 2-star general rooting for Mitt Romney, a lot of people would see this differently. It seems like this Private was censored, but the military uniform is a powerful image. With that said, I support acts of protest, and this soldier made a hell of a statement and I'd give him a high-five anytime :) Veterans for RP 2012!

  • @sladmalone *Corporal! I stand corrected!

  • The majority of the American people don't care about the military because they are finding out what bull shit all these wars are. The military does NOT defend anyone except rich old men and their wealthy defense contractors. The average military trooper is nothing but a sheep for the rich political class foreign policy schemes. Most of todays elected leaders did not serve in the military like Obama, Romney, Gingrich, Cheney, Biden. Because they are smarter then the average American.

  • The same thing will happen to him that happened to Bradley Manning, he will be waterboarded, indefinatly detained and then waterboarded again and all the time denied legal representation.

  • @ColdWarWarriors ha ha i hope not but i wouldn't be surprised with some flak from command, and some extra duty scrubbing floors and maybe some remedial PT...WELL WORTH IT!

  • Boy the "elites" expose their true colors and their contempt for our military men and women once these brave soldiers decide to speaks out against the status quo. They weren't paying this much attention when Halliburton had it's no-bid contracts. No conflict of interest there I guess. You can die for their right to free speech but not your own. What a joke.

  • Hey Forrest... didn't Lt. Dan (Choi) in this CNN interview just do the same? He was obviously supporting gays in the military while in uniform.

  • Comment removed

  • Protect the constitution? Where in the constitution does it give NATO the authority to call in airstrikes by US soldiers over a nation we haven't declared war with? Where in the constitution does the president or congress have the authority to use our military to build nations? It's pathetic seeing this military mouth piece talk about the constitution as if he knows anything about it.

  • Hatch Act

  • this shit is no joke. im in the military. once you sign that contract YOU ARE DONE!! i wish someone would of had warned me about it. now im WARNING YOU !!! think about it. ............... 2 1/2 year til im out!!

  • CNN is just as terrible as ABC, MSNBC and FOX being biased with their so-called reporters and journalists about Dr Paul... but now that he is gaining so much strength in support, they cannot ignore him for much longer.

Also, the reason why he showed up there because he had a sudden 'blackout'... intentional, I'm sure. Ron graciously allowed him to continue because the media was either being a dick, or if it was "unintentional", wanted to give him a chance to speak his mind.

    Ron Paul 2012!

  • Fag

  • Ron Paul 2012!

  • This is to scare other men in uniform from standing up.

  • @edeneating What about the Obama veterans?????

  • This is why CNN has lost all credibility and their viewer base is a joke.

  • @CentralSCarolina If what you say is true, that you served in the armed forces then you know, one you sign your name on the dotted line, the freedoms of an American Civilian No Longer apply to you. You are now government property for the duration of your contract. I served 5 years in the Marines and trust me they remind you of that fact on a regular basis. The Cpl, if he was active duty, would be out of line and breaking Military law under the UCMJ.

  • Those are Marines in the CNN and Not Soldier. There are a considerable difference in gear when you compare to them.

  • @miketranh What? That was a national guardsman on the CNN set, not a marine, A Marine wouldn't wear his medals like a doosh hat like that guy, and sure as hell wouldn't be on a news station.

  • It's because when someone's in uniform at a rally, it could appear that the entire military is supporting that candidate. The military has its own rules-separate from the federal state and local government laws. Stop whining bitches. And to those who said "fuck CNN"., tell me, what the fuck did they do? They reported this story unbiased as far as I could tell. However they did have a slight biased towards the soilder's benefit by only presenting one view.

  • Hey, uniformed or not, they are American citizens and have FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS, guaranteed by the US Constitution! When their lives have been sacrificed, they have a right to speak their peace!

  • I thought gays arent allowed in the military

  • The media is corrupt and full of propaganda. The people are being lied to and mislead. WE HAVE BECOME THE TERRORISTS! We MUST stop for the hope of EVERYONE'S future. This will all end in mushroom clouds if we can't change our ways.

  • Lol he's a gaysian... Not that there's anything wrong with that. Asian people are usually clean and so are most gays. He's probably an extremely clean person. :)

  • @sanvirps3 uhhhh you do know what you just said sounds racist.

  • if he endorsed a warmonger like Perry, Romney or Gingrich, this would not be an issue.

  • @PatriotsDomain it's not that they are war mongers, they are just so detached from the suffering and casualties of war that to them it's nothing more than a game. They'd send troops to some foreign country with just as much enthusiasm as a StarCraft player sending his first wave of zergs to enemy base. It's all just a game

  • FUCK CNN

  • no sorry I also lump most canadian off with the americans, you have no facts, you lie and then tell me to eat shot and pretend its chocolate, no not gonna happen. im not offering help, im guaranteeing I'll do anything im my power to be sure you get nothing. you all had your chances,we had to fight with the north to stop slavery, now you are reverting. im done believing your lies nazi's

  • I guess Freedom of Speech does not apply to the US soldiers who risk their lives for it... When they talk about Israel that is.

  • @megalonaut Nope. I'm active duty, and the rights we swear to protect do not apply to us. We have our own rules to follow. Speaking at an event is fine, but the way he did it isn't authorized under our regulations. One of many reasons I'm leaving the Army in a year. Ron Paul 2012!

  • @megalonaut

It doesn't apply to us while we are serving, you are right.

  • @megalonaut There is no need to guess. Soldiers are not civilians. They have no civil rights. They sign those rights away for the duration of their contract.

Believe it or not, a soldier's commanding officer can punish them for getting a sun burn. It's an extreme example, but the point is that the soldier is government property.

That's the logic. How we may feel is another matter. I don't care for miitarism and think that guns are a coward's weapon. Nevertheless, that's the logic.

    Cheers.

  • @megalonaut No, it does not. And for good reason. Because a soldier might not get the boss he wants. It's unprofessional.

However, I too hope Ron Paul wins

  • i know i cant wear a uniform during political stuff, but i will continue to support paul in other ways. I wont punish that soldier

  • Who gives a fine fuck.
