  • so im watching this live in 2012 =O awesome

  • can i record directly from that?

  • Thank you for the sounds

  • did he ever mention that it's portable as fuck?

  • 7:36 is bbc start up

  • 7:36 is bbc start up

  • I don't like the yellow either, But I'll probably just take the plastic covering off and spray paint it whichever colors I like haha. Then the thing will mean business haha

  • 200$ is a little much to pay for a kaossilator. You can get them for less

  • @adamdonovan88 yeah i saw one for $120

  • 1:03 aiaha iahahahh iahahaih aiahahaih hah LMFAO

  • 10:00 oh yeah dubstep :P

  • you can use headphones

  • Guitar Center has them for 130$

  • @Joetehpsycho Amazon has them for $106. :)

  • Thinkgeek charges $200 for this PLUS shipping. Everyone else on the web has them for $119 to $129

  • How about if they made a huge kaossilator and put it under an earthquake meter thing.

  • @XxxGamer5641xxX I REALLY LIKE THAT IDEA

  • im sure there was some pacman sounds in there

  • If you want to see great Kaossilator playing, look for the videos of psychopath3000 or Tim Rideout.

Some great instructional videos are from users Kaossilation, lcc0612, and triplesquarednine.

I got one in March 2010, got better at it; I'm pleased with my latest tune "Dark Taxi".

  • whats the difference between the yellow and white kaoss pad and the black and red one

  • @ramonesdude93 The yellow one is the one you see here. The Black one is i think the Pro which is as the yellow just a bit more advanced the red one is best seen as an ad on to the kaosilator you can use it for effects. A friend of mine has all his equipment run trough the red Kaos. You can create great funny things. (i do not know the white one)

  • @Mescalino74 Korg is using the same casings for different things. The Kaossilator (yellow or pink) is not to be confused with the Mini Kaoss Pad (black with red trim) which is an input/output effects processor but doesn't make many sounds of its own. The Kaossilator Pro in a large casing has 4 save banks and green lights on the pad (not to be confused with the Kaoss Pad 3 which has red lights.)

  • @ramonesdude93 The yellow (or pink) Kaossilator makes sounds from 100 programs. The black one with red trim that has casings of identical dimensions is the Mini Kaoss Pad, which is an input/output sound processor for various trippy effects, but makes little or no sounds of its own.

  • first sound is like paper planes?

  • just another boreing rich kid, yawn

  • Packman is S.74 haha

  • i payd 99,00 cool new

  • KORG DS-10 Has a koassilator built in. Its less advanced but you have to use your own settings for sound with it. Takes a little more brainz.

  • DONDE LO COMPRO EN ECUADOR

  • ideal christmas present for stoners

  • 8:07 Funky town XDXD

  • they hv pink :D xDD

  • Awesome, but y 200 bucks??? T^T

  • i found one on amazon for 150

  • osrry to say, you have no idear.

  • intellivision fan naming the game: astrosmash

  • at 07:52 I thought he was gonna kick into 'Funkytown' !

  • Ha Ha. Awesome comment.

  • Is it easy to use, can i use it like straight away if i just wanna mess around! ?

  • yeah i think so, just turn it on, find an effect then play

  • Yep you can, I bought mine with the KP3 kaossilator dynamic/effects processor. It's a wonderful package, especially if you use it with other such machines like the Korg EMX-1 which I also own, I'm eventually going to get a korg microkorg xl to use along with my standard casio synth to make some wicked sounds. But it's severely easy, you can make it repeat several sets you create, and you can lap over them with other sets. It's quite fun to cure the daily boredom, even at work if boss not there

  • hahahaha even if your boss isnt there haaha wut a G... so would you recomend this wit a mpc 500?

  • Then its like you!

  • Dude fuck off.

  • 7:49 FUNKY TOWN

  • i use this device when i DJ. It's really really easy to hook it in to a sound board. It's pretty much amazing, i love running the drum loops while talking to the crowd, and it adds a lot to popular tracks. Plus it gives me something to do lol

  • do you play hardstyle? cause hardstyle's shit

  • try to control it from behind?

  • the device is facing away from him, he is behind it.

  • this dude is more geeky than musician-eee.

I got a KP3 + Kaossilator bundle for 60 bucks on ebay.. new... Excellent deal actually... Well, on my behalf anyway.

  • were they stolen?

  • chanced across this vid while looking for more Kaosilator demos. anyone interested, there's a cool demo of this and a Mini KP out there. i've already decided to get one, as i'm a musician, and it can open endless possibilities in my music. this vid just sealed the deal with some of the more outlandish sound effects. best use of this is with a Korg Kaos Pad (any variant, 1-3 or mini) the Kaossilator would be great for anything from techno, to numetal. hell, slipknot uses a Mini Kaos Pad

  • fuck you mannn

  • Actually the Kaossilator DOES have a multi-touch pad, do your homework better...It doesn't work on absolutely every voice but it does on most. I've had four fingers touching the pad at once and it created a "chord" of voices.

If you have one already, you can try it out for yourself...if not, just take my word for it.

  • thx 4 sharing!

  • that thing kicks ass, great vid, thanks

  • input would make this amazingly better but o well.

  • yeah, seriously

  • you can open the kaossilator and mod input in it!

  • theres such a thing as the mini-kaoss, which has input- but it is used as an editor to pre existing music, not a synth music creator. if you want to make, the kaossilator is the way to go

  • lol, i can see this becoming the ipod of musical instruments. lol. get ur own color. every kid is going to want one. but it's pretty cool for $200. i might get one next week

  • I dont know who thumbed this down... he's right. They already make them in pink

  • That's awesome.

  • no input? ne1 no a similar product w input?

  • Me wants to noes!

  • 2:30

    "freebird"

    LOL

  • whats the easiest way to link this badboy up to a pc? cuz i didnt get what my homie in the vid said about outputs etc...lol...

  • haha that chat thing is funny

  • this thing is wery cool!!!!

    I like it wery much!!!

  • Well that was patronising

  • 'oh my god that was the best story i've ever heard, it's insane. can i hear it again?'

    :|

  • what kind of speaker do you need to use this?

  • hahaha the women filming is goin like PAC MANNNN PAC MANNNN Hhashahah sooo funny!!

  • 8:10 yes it will. thats why im getting one :D helping de cause

  • how long is the battery life on these?

  • korg say's 5h with 4 alkaline aa bateries

  • does anny1 know if there is a way to save the creation u've made? like a output on your computer?

  • nope. once you shut it off, it's all gone--unless you run the kaossilator into your computer and record a song on a program like Garage Band or use other recording software like Ableton Live

  • Thanks for the post .

  • cant wait to get this for my bday in november with the mini-kp

i wanna get this besides a video camera

  • lol i wish i could get both!!!

    your lucky dude

  • hey can i hav a coupon?

    just kidding ur a loser...

  • I happen to be a big fan of Joy Electric (google them, really!!!) and they employ actual analog synth in their music. This thing is the cheapest thing that can mimic the performance of analog synth. I also would be interested to use it as a cheap drum machine. Good pick Chris!!

  • i really jope you kidding. well on second thought you prolly do not the understand electronics in musics, this is considered very nice and cheap i have one and i love it, WORTH EVERY PENNY. btw this prolly will not come out for the iphone, i feall as it it will be to much to program for the iphone/ipod touch, this does have alot of features.

  • No I'm not kidding Zacharysaul. I do understand "electronics in musics" thank you very much. I work with Cubase and have Access Virus Snow, Korg Triton, M-Audio Axiom, a shitload of vst plugins and so forth... I don't want to brag about the stuff I got but you don't know me. So don't start about what I know or do not know.

    Again. Would never buy this.

  • oh my god "a coupon for willy"

    wat a nerd

  • There is no more expensive version.

  • I wander if someone is going to make a similar app for the iPhone? It must be fiddly to play out a known tune on it. Perhaps a grid overlay would be handy.

  • the more expensive 'version' of it has a visible grid... not sure if it has the same functions or not (i don't think it does) but you're right it'd make it more usable

  • i personaly think the kaoss pad kp 2 is better i know its more an effects prcoesser but the synth sounds are good

    still preaty cool gaget

  • KP3 wins the race so far.

  • i prefer the kp2s sounds though the kp3 is cool i find the kp2 better in some ways

but just a matter of opinion i spose

  • Yeah, propably. The thing that conviced me is the 4 sampler buttons (KP3) instead of 2 (KP2). i dont know much about effects in KP2 tho.

  • yeah true but i cant really aford a kp3 aswell so i just use midi samplin

  • yeah. Also alot more money but. I'd agree.

  • That is proper buce!

  • no kidding you are not a musician.

  • Hell yeah :D

  • nice

wow i need 1 of those

  • pansi seems sort of.......idk.......obese maybe

  • Yes! I so want one. Only Korg gadget I have is an X5D keyboard, which I still love after all the years of use. Anything Korg is the shiznit.

  • that is pretty cool

  • how do you subscribe a username for his site?

  • I was waiting for this to be posted, I love it and I am in it! and ponzi loved my responses about willy wonka lol. When I get the money I am getting one of these :)

  • lol were you Arcane?

  • question on korg kaosiltor...can u record music beats to cpu or a memory card

  • you can record it into cpu if using proper software. then you can use the sounds in other applications or hardware.

  • the "friggin" scale?

j/k, I know the phrygian scale

  • quite worthless!

  • anyone know if u can change the beat in th background? ill go ask in live chat.

  • lol, on 7:37 he made the perfect "Dreiklang" from NBC GIGA

    xD

  • It's good not to see your face for once!

    Pirillo you fugly bastard!

  • i saw this on MAKE

  • dang that thing is cool. really nice.

  • Lolz

chris try to make the mario theme song!

    :D

  • Oh man, I really want one of those. Stop making me want to spend money, Chris. D:

  • They Might Be Giants just gave an interview saying how this was one of their useful "unsung hero" gadgets, along with the stylophone.

  • what are you talking about i enjoy his music

  • you know, even if the music is wierd,it doesn't mean it's not music, and what do you mean by that. only guitar can make music,

oh yeah btw, he knows music, i heared the background music when he's not recording music

  • I want oneeeee.

  • The beat at 7:45 was awesome !

  • I love that thing :D Maybe in the future :)

WHY DO PEOPLE WANT CAPS LOCK TURNED OFF IN CHAT IS IT THAT MUCH OF A PROBLEM SERIOUSLY LOL

  • i know when i'm in the chat and i say HI these stupid retards are like turn off the caps lock and they tell you the position of the caps lock and i'm like to the chatter FUCK YOU!!!

  • Indeed, i noticed that people are giving us thumbs down - OK then tell us why it is such a problem people? LOL

  • I know, they say its rude

  • Something tells me that Chris would have a whole lot of fun with a theremin...

  • That's a pretty neat gadget.

  • wow thats tighttt..i want one
