@irishkod Just assuming of course, but it's only logical. Tornadoes form beneath super cells that reach several kilometres into the sky, and are not as huge as hurricanes, which have an eye in their centers - you can see the ground from above when looking into the eye. But maybe there is a chance that you see the entire super cell rotating.
STOPPING A TORNADO -- You Tube video ----. Preventing a tornado from touching the ground. I made this video because i survived a tornado in 1998. In Dec. 2006 i came up with a theroy on how to PREVENT a tornado from touching the ground
Its not two tornado its a horizontal vortex I think. If what I know is right they are just as cool if not cooler than two tornados. And seeing one gives good luck for life. lol. Cool vid.
@boxtortoise2003 you really need to grow up and have some compassion. I personally know many people who were killed and a lot more who lost absolutely everything due to these tornados. There is some comfort in knowing that karma will come back and bite you in the ass.
The sirens through Alabama were not initial designed for tornado warnings, but were retooled for that purpose years ago. I've been told what the original purpose was for, but I can't remember at this time. It was something like warning for evacuation do to radiation in cause there was a nuclear disaster at one of the nuclear power plants.
I'm not trying to be too joking about a serious situation, and I'm sorry if I cause any offence by saying this, but...WOAH! DOUBLE TORNADO ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE SKY!
True, there are different models, but the sirens in the vid sounded like the "attack" tone instead of the "alert" tone; except it was wailing a bit faster than the "attack" tone...
States in Tornado Alley should know the proper tone to use for tornadoes, especially Oklahoma; I live there...
i believe our weather is changing and we will see unusual things in our lifetime. here in attalla, we found all kinds of debris...birthday cards, photos, papers, a baby toy and roofing....very sad.
@Toejaminator I don't know. It's kind of weird that such a storm this destructive hit so fast, and with so many of them. I feel for the one's who went through this. So many lives lost. It's terrible.
i born in alabama

@boxtortoise2003 Over 230 are dead and thousands are injured.I'm pretty sure it "budged" somebody.
Besides nobody else in this country should be calling anybody fat.

It sounds like they're using the wrong tone on the sirens. A severe weather warning tone starts off, and stays constant, it doesn't wail...
