They can't really become an 'independant country' right now because their population's too small & because of their location, however they have been gaining more autonomy over their affairs with the support from the UK, which is how it should be.

@nimitz42 The Malvinas are Argentine and were illegally appropriated by the UK what would you think if it occupies Argentina and force the Isle of Man? when the British came to occupy illegally the Falklands had been in Spain and therefore the independence Argentina was hers, not interpret the law as we want to. You have to return the Falklands and Gibraltar, as well as with Hong Kong
